The home baked gift of Walnut and Date loaf was a lovely touch. There was a smell in the room upon entry which I couldn't pinpoint but which seemed to go after leaving the door open for a while.

- Webber (8/5): Homely, friendly and quiet. - Great location, walk to pub, sub etc. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the little touches were much appreciated.
The bed was very comfortable and clean, as was the bathroom. The tv worked but had no sound, Jan was very responsive but unable to figure out the issue. We’re not big tv watchers so not totally fussed in the end.
Overall, the property was definitely good value for the price, and a lovely spot to spend a quiet night. The entry step needed propping up but the owners were very responsive, which we appreciated.
Net curtains would enable us to open the curtains but still have privacy, perhaps?
I found it dark in the shower, so maybe lighter shower curtains would lighten it up a little? My eyesight is not what it was!
- Andreas (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (9/5): A very comfortable and cosy place to stay with friendly hosts. - It was lovely to be met by Jan who explained all about the accommodation and facilities. It was a lovely touch that she had provided delicious date and walnut slices to have with our cuppa on arrival. The bed was very comfortable affording us the best night's sleep on our trip! Breakfast was most adequate. Overall a comfortable and delightful place to stay. The shower could do with a light in it as my husband has vision problems and made this suggestion. I found it to be fine.
- Peterd (9/5): Fantastic B&B especially breakfast - The breakfast was great. Everything we could want. Our hostess was most imformative. The pub nearbywas good for other meals. Also, the submarine display nearby was really interesting and informative. We wish the bedroom was a little bigger. It was very squeezy. The bathroom was great.
- Renata (10/5): Exceptional - This was the best accomodation on our roadtrip. Jan and Vic are very welcoming, the place is very cosy, it was a pleasure to spend a night here on the road. Our puppy was very much welcomed.
- Les (8/5): Very good -
- Sharlene (9/5): We chose to stay in Holbrook for something different and would easily come back to this venue - We were met by the owner of the property and introduced to the rooms features. Menus and explanations for various local restaurants and cafes were provided. It was pet friendly and our little dog was welcomed .
Continental breakfast provided included some personal touches like date and walnut loaf The only minor complaint is really only because of the dog in that the room, which was an extension to the house was on the street so taking our little dog out for overnight necessities meant we needed to get dressed
- Annette (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was nice and varied. Location good
