Pleasant outlook from back deck looking onto forested area - very relaxing. Internally, modern layout with bright and fresh presentation. There was a bit of background traffic noise from the main town through road about 500m away but not a real issue.

• Brad (10/5): A long weekend to attend a wedding and explore the area, based in a comfortable and conveniently located, modern house. - This a very modern, 2 bedroom house, with 2 bathrooms (one is an ensuite), modern conveniences, aircon, ceiling fans. It’s a lovely open plan arrangement with a fantastic deck overlooking parkland — all you can see is trees and shrubs, not neighbours - it’s brilliant. The house is located at the end of the street so it’s relatively quiet and within walking distance of town, just a few hundred meters. However Malena is very hilly, so some people would prefer to drive, and you can hear street noise from the Main Street at certain times of day. But again, that’s Maleny.

• Marilyn and Bill Lockett (10/5): MALENY, A PERFECT PLACE TO HOLIDAY - We have been to Maleny many times the past 30 years, usually for day trips or staying with friends in the area. We were amazed at the beauty of this house position next to rainforest and were delighted we had booked to stay 3 nights. Literally 230 metres walk to main street, and yet so peaceful. The view on entry is stunning, straight though the loung room, verandah and into the rainforest. Every detail of landscaping attended to. The house itself is large, light and airy, fitted out with top quality appliances, comfortable beds in 2 large bedrooms. It certainly won't be our last stay at Forest Haven. ... a longer stay!

The lack of screens on doors really limited airflow...also, sitting in the lounge their is no lights! 1 reading lamp doesn't really cut it. Chairs that were comfortable to sit on would have been nice to be able to relax on the back deck.

• Hunter (8/5): Very good - Location, quiet, peaceful area (though did hear some traffic from the road above). Difficult driveway to navigate. The BBQ wasn't cleaned very well after previous use. No hand soap or hand towel in the kitchen. No CD player, although identified in the list of available items.

Nice kitchen, bathrooms and living area with spacious deck The beds were quite hard

• Beverley (10/5): Loved our home away from home for the week, a perfect place to rest, recharge and explore - Easy keyless access upon arrival. Clear instructions available for use of property amenities. Hosts were lovely and responsive View from balcony was fantastic looking into the woods between the house and main street, it was lovely sitting there in the morning listening to and watching the birds Lovely quiet location, but a nice walk to the main street thru the woods. Bathrooms fantastically appointed and new, bedrooms nice and spacious with really comfortable beds Was a great home base to travel around the Sunshine Coast We had a warm night and there is only air con in the living area, so you need to leave the doors open to the bedrooms to get the cool air. Apart from that everything else was perfect.

• Bronwyn (9/5): A comfortable, tranquil place to stay. - Beautiful outlook into the trees. Birds, frogs and even a python sleeping in a nearby firm. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the large deck. Traffic noise behind the trees.

• Yvette (10/5): Beautiful spacious house in quaint Maleny - A beautiful and tasteful house pretty much tucked away at the end of the street overlooking bush. The entire house was spacious from the front door to living, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms & outdoor deck with ample parking. All but backs onto main st with all amenities & shopping etc. Just loved it.

• Gary (10/5): Very happy overall. Thankyou. - Property was in convenient distance to town and was very private and quiet with complete bush outlook. All we needed for our group of four (two couples). Barbecue was very easy to use and started easily. We are not coffee drinkers but our friends were. They had difficulty operating coffee machine which had a flashing symbol suggesting something may have been wrong. With information available they were not able to work out problem. They suggested an instruction list near the machine could have been helpful. The only other minor problem was closing the entry door when going out - it seemed to need a harder than normal pull to get it to engage.

• Diane (9/5): Lovely well presented holiday house. - Location of the property is great. There is a small track that takes you too the main street. There could be more entertainment serving platters etc in the kitchen. Some comfortable casual chairs on the balcony would be nice to sit and read and take in the bush setting.

• Lisia (1/5): Apart from the location and Hannah being amazing - Johnathon wasn’t that nice , cold water gasranout - Location was amazing - time with my family & Hannah was absolutely amazing. Honestly really loved the location - the neighbours complained about “noise complaints” but it was only because one of us pulled up to the Airbnb at 11pm and he complained about noise. On our 2nd night our hot water stopped working and even though Hannah was amazing at explaining it we still couldn’t manage to put it on. But it was just we had to shower in cold water and bc it’s winter it was such a horrible feeling.. When noise complaints were made - Johnathon was actually quite rude with his tone when I had called to explain saying there was loud drinking and music but that was definitely not the case. I wasn’t going argue as we didn’t want to risk having nowhere to stay especially being far away from home.

Good size kitchen and the house is very comfortably and tastefully appointed. There’s a bit of traffic noise on the deck from the main road through town but it’s not intrusive.

• Rosa (8/5): Easy check in/check out, great location, short walk to shops and lovely outlook into the trees. - Tastefully furnished fully equipped house. Modern, clean and relatively private. Lovely outlook into the trees from the back yard. Location to the main street of Maleny. Approx 2 minute walk from the backyard, just take care on the steep pathway down to the back path. Access/check in through digital door lock, very handy and no need to deal with paperwork etc. Arrive at designated check in time, enter code and you're all checked in. Large covered carport. Would definitely stay again. Sheets were too crisp so didn't sleep well on our first night. Only one AC unit which is in the living area. Had to leave bdrm doors open to allow cooling into the rooms. Probably not so much of an issue when it isn't as hot as each room has a ceiling fan and windows. Some traffic noise from the main road but thick foliage and trees in between main road and back yard helps to alleviate noise. Everything else was excellent.
