- daniel (4/5): The pictures lie. - It was somewhere to sleep. It had clean christmas bedding. Nothing like pictures. Was on thr second floor so 2 flights of stairs which werent in thr description. The flat itself had stairs inside which were rickety and steep . We were traveling eith an elderly lady who struggles with stairs so was not ideal
Toilet kept blocking, bathroom was extremely small , no shower curtain so couldnt have a shower snd thr bath had a very large rust stain on it. Mould in all the rooms on the ceiling. Only 1 flat pillow per person for sleeping. The mattresses were basically jsyt springs and the bed frames metal and rickety. No plug in kitchen sink to wash up... hot water was very scarce. No tea towels or anything along those lines.
- Sohaib (7/5): Everything was good just there was very smelly at property building entrance - Location Cleaning on the entrance
- Nichola (5/5): Not a chic appartment, served purpose 1 night well equipped - Was well equipped and served the purpose for us Was not very clean and was more a council estate flat not a chic apartment
- John (9/5): -
- Debbie (5/5): - Although on arrival the area appeared to be a little unsafe it was absolutely fine. There were street council workers of an evening checking no one was sleeping rough in the stairwells. Everywhere was very quiet and we did feel safe coming and going. It was a short walk to the main road and then only 15 mins along the main road to Tower Bridge. Location was great for walking into London. There was a serious problem with the toilet and the owner had pre warned us just days prior to us going that we should use as little toilet paper as possible! There were 4 adults and a child. Despite using a bag to dispose of our toilet paper we did experience an issue with the toilet. I did contact the owner who did rectify the situation. There were very flat pillows on all the beds. No mirrors throughout except for the bathroom to even put makeup on when getting dressed for the day. No shower curtain to have a shower if you wanted/needed too and no working plugs in the bathroom to have a wash. I did let the owner know this he said it was still possible to have a shower!!

- Chantelle (4/5): Would have preferred a hotel! - The location wasn't bad. Fairly close to the centre and transport links were good. It wasn't very clean.
The pillows were awful/flat/disgusting
The bathroom was very mouldy & cold.
Really run down place.
No teabags left so we got our own.
Beds were uncomfortable
Location was quite noisy
Not the best experience.
- Fiona (5/5): Very reasonably priced. Bathroom facilities could be improved. - The size The bathroom
- Will (2/5): Unclean and uncomfortable - Cheap Rooms hadn’t been cleaned. Bedding appeared to have been slept in previously. Mouldy bathroom.
- Blazej (1/5): Crap, its just crap. Renting such places should be criminal offence. - Location was ok. Its pretty spacious. There was a mold in bathroom (kids started to caught immediately), destroyed socket with cables out and wardrobe nearly fell over our kid. That was the worst booking stay for me in 15 years since I use it.
- Justine (7/5): -
- Melissa (5/5): - Shower didn’t work
No tube stops locally
Very dusty floor
Stain on bedding
- Andrew (9/5): Excellent location - Great location, close to Tower Bridge and a short walk to Borough Market etc. Had issues watching live TV, but that could just be my understanding of the television.
- Sydney (6/5): -
- Martyna (6/5): A better option than a hostel, but don’t set your expectations too high. - The location is good — a short walk to the bus stop, about 15 minutes to the metro, and close to a Tesco. You do get more comfort for the price compared to a hostel, since you have an entire apartment to yourself, but it’s still far from what I’d call a good stay. But don’t expect too much. It’s okay for a weekend, but not longer. The smell was awful — really unpleasant and noticeable in many areas. One of the bedrooms was unusable because a horrible odor was coming from the wardrobe. The bathroom was dirty and neglected, and the bathtub tap was difficult to operate. Overall, the place felt quite dirty and cold.
- Sherlyn (6/5): Good value for money and good location. - The flat is very good for its price. It’s good location. Flat is also tidy. I used the kitchen and they have all set I needed. Also had washing machine and fridge. Bathroom needs bathtub curtain so water will not go on the floor. The flat is on 2nd floor and the stairs are dark at night.
Pillow is flat and not comfortable to sleep on.
- Angela (1/5): Uno schifo totale. - Niente.
- Benjamin (8/5): Convenient and efficient - It was very clean and had a modern feel, and everything you would need for a short stay The beds were slightly noisy when moving around but fairly comfortable. The one thing that it could do with improving was that there was only 2 pillows per bedroom which were very thin, so had to use the sofa cushions which wasn’t very comfortable.
- Dominique (9/5): Super - Le calme, la propreté, cuisine bien équipée.
- Mordakie (3/5): Cheap, not chic and disappointing. We left without staying the night - Central London. Owner was responsive to questions.. If cost is your only criteria then it provides 3 double beds for cheaper than most other places. This flat is cheap not chic. Even then it is disappointing. We booked for a night and made our way there. However, having seen the flat, we decided it was not an acceptable standard to sleep in, and we left to go.to a hotel.
It is an ex-council flat on an estate. 3rd floor no lift. The photos make it look much nicer than it is. Be sure to look at the external pictures and location to check that you will be happy to arrive there, especially at night.
The decor is extremely poor, the equivalent of a 1* hotel. Lots of paint missing/chips, there is a hole in the side of the bath where it has completely rusted through.
While there was a basic level of cleanliness, the flat felt dirty, especially the sofa and beds. There were no mattress covers and the pillows were incredibly thin. I don't understand why, as these things only cost a few pounds and make a big difference.
When we put the heating on, a very unpleasant and overwhelming smell appeared in one of the bedrooms.
The TV did not have iPlayer and you need to bring your own streaming account.
- Gary (9/5): -
- Marta (5/5): Good for male friends and not for mothers with young children in my opinion - I liked the location and the layout of the apartment. I didn’t like the following: you need to be extremely quiet even during the day as the walls are thin and the neighbours don’t like the sounds, the toilet gets blocked (there was 7 of us and we did not do anything other than usual), the bathroom needs a makeover and so does the walls, the ventilation crate was covered with dirty.
- Peter Jones (6/5): Not quite chic - That we could all fit in with individual sleeping areas No shower curtain so showering wasn't an option, bathroom quite old and well overdue an update or paint, the description as "chic" was misleading, basically this is a council flat rented out as an airbnb. Pillows were basically non existent. But overall it was ok for the purpose and for one night.
- Amy (10/5): - Would of been nice to have more pillows on the bed but other than that it was lovely.
- Albert (10/5): -
- Arpit (7/5): -
- sarah (4/5): Even though the flat was good value it could really do with some TLC to make it feel more welcoming . - The property was on two floors and quite spacious & great location for sightseeing in London . On arrival we were greeted with a strong smell of weed around the property and the area certainly
Didn’t make me feel safe . I was thankful we didn’t have children with us !
When we got inside it was hardly “ chic “ . The curtains in the bedrooms were too short for the windows and the pillows were so thin , we had to fold up towels to put underneath to sleep comfortably . There was no shower curtain in the bathroom and the shower was next to the window , which meant the residents opposite could see your naked reflection! There were bare wires exposed and some of the lights had no shades. There was also no blind in the kitchen , so we felt very over looked , as there are flats right opposite. I wouldn’t say it was spotlessly clean as the sofa was stained and the floors quite grubby . Also we were asked to be mindful of noise but there was no carpet on the stairs .
- Denise dos (7/5): Just few improvements, and it’s nice place , nice area but it is not luxury , it’s a decent place . - Location Can charge mobile phone on the two of the rooms , curtain shower in the toilet, and the internet can connect it
- Daniel (7/5): Great location and good value - Bra läge med det mesta inom gångavstånd. Nära till busshållplats. -
- PAK SZE (5/5): Good location. Tolerable for a night stay. Hygiene level needs to be improved. - The location is good The property is not clean, there are molds everywhere in the apartment. It is located on the third floor, but no elevator. You have to carry the luggage through the stairs. The neighbour is quite old and it doesn’t look safe.
- Ziemann (10/5): -
- Katherine (1/5): We did not stay I did not feel safe in a building that has a concrete 2 floor stairway to access - We did not stay the area did not
Look safe for a family the place was soo basic not clean the bed are cheap and hard Everything
- Kathrin (4/5): Disappointing - Close to Tower Bridge and good infrastructure - makes it easy to get around by bus. Decent rooms with cupboards and nightstands and nice living room to hang out in. There's been an effort to make the living areas look nice. The tiny bathroom was moldy, which is unsurprising considering there is no shower curtain and the whole room gets wet when you try to have a shower. Prime real estate for the snail we had to remove though. The toilet seat was broken (and has been for a while judging by other reviews) and there was almost no soap left in the bottle. Would have liked access to a dish towel.
We found the beds to be quite uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin, which is compounded by the stairs and all the doors being very noisy.
- Choden (1/5): Our stay at the holiday home was unfortunately disrupted by a very rude neighbor. Even though we made no noise and were - Bed. It was big and comfortable. Toilet and it was really small.
- Halford (7/5): Good - The price Stairs to flat
- Sarah (3/5): Shabby 'chic' - Flexible host with good communication
Clean
Good location for bus routes round london
Tube about 20min walk and about 30 to southbank Not suitable for groups or families unless you tip toe around and whisper or be prepared for a vist off the neighbours who are frustrated in having to cope with noise transferred,as it lacks soundproofing eg carpets or internal doors that close to muffle noise.Only stay here if on a limited budget and can cope with no carpets on the creaky stairs, thin curtains that don't cover the wondows,a shower with no shower curtain( no wonder bathroom has some signs of rust & some mould)
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - The location was fantastic, central London, pubs and food places near. A 12 minute walk to the tube. Could do with a shower curtain but that was all
- Scott (2/5): Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone! - Great location Bathroom damp and mouldy. None of us used the shower. Curtains didn’t fit the windows in any rooms. No carpet on stairs.
- Connor (1/5): don’t stay here - the whole place was in need of a good clean and basis jobs doing. bedroom doors didn’t shut. wires lying about, dust and much everywhere no ability to shower as didn’t have a shower curtain. access up lots of stairs which was dirty. bedding and pillows in very poor condition no mirrors or bedside light curtains poorly fitted. i could go on but i definitely would not recommend staying at this property. toilet seat hanging off and instructions from owner not to use much toilet paper as toilet gets blocked and costed him £100 to fix. see above
- Jóhannes (5/5): Passable -
- George (9/5): Superb - The flat was clean and comfortable, the check in process was easy and its a grear location for the price. There were adequate facilities for what we wanted uncluding plates, cutlery etc. There was no shower curtain in the shower which made it difficult to keepnthe shower room dry. Other wise no real complaints.
- Mangion (10/5): Amazing stay - Very central and all day full of life the area Needs lift
- Binoy (8/5): Very good -
- Mohammed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christen (7/5): Great place to stay if like a quiet neighborhood at night and don’t mind an older place. - For what we needed it for, which was just a place to sleep at night while we explored London. It worked out great.
I really liked the neighborhood it was in. It was absolutely not glamorous, but it had a comfortable neighborhood, family atmosphere. At first glance, it seemed a bit rough around the edges, but we felt very safe while we were there.
Some American visitors might struggle a bit, it definitely has some features that are pretty common in an old London apartment that some people might not be used to, like having to turn a boiler on to get hot water and no shower curtain on the tub. It’s also the most echoing apartment ever - if you don’t like everyone in the house knowing your bathroom business this might not be the place for you. 😂
But honestly, if you don’t care for luxury and are just looking for a very affordable place that has an awesome little pub right around the corner and access to all of London then this is probably gonna work great for you.
Pros: location, 3 bedrooms, price, ease of communication with the landlord.
Cons: Not fully updated (not a con for us but some people might not love that), only one bathroom, as clean as a very old apartment in London that’s a rental can get. None of these were deal breakers for us.
- Eaby (7/5): Good -
- Andreea (8/5): London on a budget, but with minimal expectations - You can reach the place by 2 different bus routes, and busses are quite frequent. It's in a quiet area, and the apartment has pretty much all things you'd need for a short stay.
The place is spread on 2 floors, and you have stairs to reach it. First floor is for a small living room, kitchen and bathroom, and above you have 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed (160 max width) wardrobe and a night stand.
There are some shops and places to eat in, and a great coffee shop, nearby. The neighbours are very rude, probably the walls are paper thin, but they are easily irritated and will knock on the walls for the smallest noise (we came in around 21:30 and we were talking among our selves, and the kids were watching TV, this led to the owner being messaged we are making too much noise 🙄). Secondly, it's an old place which was partly refurbished. There is mold and/or rust in the bathroom, no central heating (in the winter you'd need to use heaters, but they are noisy during the night). Thirdly, there's only one bathroom so even if the place can fit more sleeping it's a bit of a pain in the morning and evenings when everyone needs to use the same bathroom. Lastly, rooms are quite small, but given you're only there for sleep it's not really a problem.
- Tom (8/5): Very good - Good , clean, no frills accommodation in.a good location that that was excellent value for money.
- Sheona (3/5): NOT chic. Silence required to stay here. - Communication with the host was good. It was more or less clean. You cannot describe this apartment as "chic" - the title lies! It isn't very welcoming, each room has the bare minimum to function and the furniture appears to be stained/well worn. The shower has no shower curtain, flooding the bathroom when you shower. The bedrooms are drafty, one of them has a vent at the head of the bed (at head level) that whistles and blows cold air all night when it's windy. And then there's the neighbour... Who banged on the wall at 8:30pm because me and my children were giggling playing a game. Then they came round to the front door and banged on the door, shouting at us! The children were then on edge all night, worried about the angry neighbour breaking in. After a terrible night's sleep, we were packing up getting ready to check out around 9:45/10am, walking around the flat of course, and we hear banging again! The floor in this apartment is all wooden and creaky and loud so the smallest steps can be heard and clearly it bothers the neighbour at all times of day. The host needs to rethink using this property to rent out, and if they insist to continue they need to carpet the place, get some more furniture, which might absorb some of the sound of a family staying there.
- Stacey (8/5): Great place to stay in London - Great location. Exactly what we needed for the short stay. Great communication from the owner.
- Ross (6/5): Ok for a pit stop - It was an ok place to stay for a night. Owner kept changing check in time. It was ok for us as we needed to be at an event.
When we turned up to drop off our bags at arranged time previous tenants were still in the place. We dropped our bags left key as expected as owner said cleaner would be in at half past three.
On return at nearly six in the evening the key was not in the lock box. Cleaner was inside and just finishing.
Don’t think bed sheets had been changed. Also quite a walk from either underground stations. Area is ok.
- Salvatore (8/5): Very good - Very clean house Cushions in the bedroom weren't good at all
- Kirby (9/5): Lovely and homey. - Clean, spacious, location was great. The washer worked well which was a plus! Great location, walking distance to restaurants, train station, and stores. Had every basic needs any guests can possibly need.
The host was easy to contact, friendly, and responsive. Top floor, no elevator. Walls are also super thin that we can hear the neighbors past midnight.
- Yohannan (7/5): Good -
- Agnieszka (8/5): Very good - Cold upon entry
- Daberechi (9/5): Spacious, clean, perfect location, well-equipped, responsive host—ideal London stay! - I had a fantastic stay at this apartment and highly recommend it! The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures—clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. It’s a spacious 3-bedroom with each room featuring a family-sized bed, wardrobe, and bedside drawers, providing plenty of space and comfort for everyone.
The location is ideal, right by Tower Bridge, with a quick ride to London Bridge, the London Eye, and other central London attractions. A bus stop is conveniently close, and there’s a Lidl nearby, which made it easy to pick up any essentials.
The apartment was perfect for my family, with all the essentials provided—fresh towels, toiletries, plenty of dishes, cutlery, tea, sugar, basic spices, and cookware, so we could easily prepare meals. We also appreciated the dining table and smart TV, which made our evenings relaxing and enjoyable.
Check-in was smooth and easy, and the host was incredibly friendly and responsive, promptly answering any questions. The hot water and heating worked perfectly, making our stay even more comfortable.
If I return to London, I would definitely book this place again. This apartment is a gem for anyone looking for a convenient, spacious, and comfortable stay in London!
