1. The property was listed as having air-conditioning. It did not. Having lived in and visited the UK over the last 35 years we knew that heatwave conditions were rare but unpleasant so we filtered our search to include air-conditioning. In fact we did have heatwave conditions with temperatures in the mid-30s for several days. Instead of air-conditioning the property offered a portable "air-conditioner" which was totally inadequate for the conditions and did not meet any reasonable expectation for a property claiming to have "air-conditioning". It was barely capable of taking a few degrees off the temperature in the immediate vicinity and provided little comfort. It was also extremely noisy, with the compressor in the room and the external door having to be open, allowing in the Vauxhall traffic noise. The cooling certainly did not reach the bedrooms, which made for very uncomfortable nights as outside temperatures remained in the high 20s to midnight and beyond. The highly unsatisfactory response of the managers was: "We have multiple apartments with central air conditioning, but since this unit is in an older building, a portable AC is the only option available. Most apartments in this building use the same ones in summer. In the bedrooms, we provide fans, as temperatures typically drop at night and in most cases air conditioning isn’t necessary... So far guests haven’t complained about the AC unit, and we’ve had it since the beginning of last year." Wrong on so many levels.
2. The property was listed as having streaming. It doesn't. Although it does have a couple of remote controls suggesting that it once did, they had no function and I wasted some time looking for the streaming devices. When I queried this the managers replied: "The TV isn’t a smart model and doesn’t support apps like Netflix or YouTube without a specific decoder.
- Kyra (9/5): This place made our trip to London easy and comfortable. Location was perfect. - Stayed with my family in London and we wanted somewhere we could relax. Vauxhall is a vibrant neighborhood but never felt too crowded. We had great communication from the host and easy access. The flat is clean and comfortable. Everything is just a few steps away including buses, the underground, Uber Boats (loved), coffee, great restaurants, and bars. It felt very safe. Right on the Thames, it really is a perfect place to stay. I actually booked it, went to Scotland for a few days, and then booked it again. Whole family was very happy there. We stayed on/off for two weeks and the washer/dryer was such a wonderful thing for us.

- Yvonne (8/5): Very good - The location was perfect. Lots of.space and well laid out. The flat was very hot when we arrived. Getting the key was a treasure hunt. The beds move very easily. Dangerous if you sit down quickly.

- Karin (9/5): A few days in London along the River Thames. - The location was convenient, and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities close by, especially at the fantastic new Battersea Power Station complex! The Westminster, Chelsea and Battersea areas were all within about 1 mile walking distance along pleasant walkways adjacent to or across the Thames. Tube station is right across the street. The apartment is a perfect size for 4 people (we were only 2), and has plenty of light. They also have good blackout curtains. It was good value in London for the apartment size and location. We like sleeping with open windows, but this place gets noisy due to the proximity to a major street with a lot of traffic. Luckily, the apartment also has air conditioning and with the windows closed, the place is very quiet.

- Carmen (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, well served by public transportation, nice restaurants within 2-minutes walk. The apartment is very comfortable for a family.
- Alfredo (9/5): Superb - Location had good access to the 🚇 underground London transit, had restaurants around, and a convenience store that is open until 11 PM. The Underground Station is right in front of the property's building. The property is easy to locate and the owners prepared a check in video to help smooth the process. This was very helpful. Property is right by river Thames. Check in and check out were smooth.Property is well maintained, had pretty good wifi, clean and afforded all the basic necessities. It was very comfortable inside as it has pretty good ventilation from its windows. Our stay was stress free and very pleasant. The owners were lovely hosts! It's not so much of not liking it however just a matter of preference. Property is by a very busy area and to this point bookers have to be open to the sound of a busy area that could extend through bedtime. Some would prefer hearing traffic sounds and some would like silence in their sleep. Some also prefer white linens and towels, so I wonder if the owner is open to accommodations when informed. These were not huge issues on our side and even without, we still considered our stay very pleasant

- David (8/5): Location was excellent and easy to access and would definitely stay again if coming to London. - The location is very difficult to beat. Easy walk into central London for all the sights or, if you prefer, the underground is directly outside with 4 stops to Oxford Circus. Add to this the Tesco Express under the building and the Sainsbury Local over the road and supplies were easy to obtain.
There were some maintenance issues which the owner advised they are aware of and are addressing and these did not affect the comfort of the stay.
The owner provided very clear instructions for collection of the key and entry to the building and was readily contactable during the stay. While there was seating available to accommodate our party of 4 the lounges could possibly be updated as there was a tendency to roll to the centre if sitting on the ends.
- Jm (10/5): Like Home - This cute and clean apartment is very close to the river, just a minute away from both the tube and train stations. The apartment was also fully equipped.
The host was extremely helpful and responded quickly to any questions. I definitely consider staying again.
