• Samantha (10/5): Wonderful and would recommend! - We had an amazing stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam. The apartment was even better than described and pictured. Spotless, spacious for two people, and located in a fantastic area that still felt quiet and safe at night. We especially loved being within walking distance of so many great spots, including the oldest pub in Amsterdam! The hosts truly went above and beyond. Self check-in was incredibly easy, and they were so accommodating in allowing us to drop off and store our luggage around our train times. They were also extremely responsive to any questions or requests, always replying within minutes, and gave us such thoughtful recommendations for food and things to do nearby. The apartment itself felt very welcoming, with thoughtful hospitality touches like coffee, treats, and plenty of clean towels provided. The bed was also super comfortable, and we really appreciated the large shower space compared to many smaller European bathrooms we’ve experienced while travelling. Overall, this was one of our favourite stays and we would happily return if we find ourselves back in Amsterdam again someday!

• Hirsz (10/5): - The location was great, a modern room and bathroom, and an easy walk to many of the sites in Amsterdam. The owner was very helpful in pointing out tourist spots nearby. Being elderly, the only issue was the stairs to the room, but the owner helped by carrying our luggage up and down three flights of narrow stairs. GREAT JOB and Thanks

Forniscono tutto il necessario (gel doccia/shampoo, asciugamani, acqua, caffe, the). Proprietari gentili e disponibili. Possibilità di lasciare senza problemi i bagagli prima e dopo il check-in/out. Self check-in/out facile e funzionale. Si trova a pochi passi da fermate del bus e tram che portano in centro, che è facilmente raggiungibile anche a piedi. Non posso che consigliarla.

• Sandra (10/5): Great value for money, super clean and great location. - The apartment and whole building were so clean. Apartment smelled really nice when we first walked in too. It was really cosy and quiet, dimmer lights were a nice touch, bed was very comfy. The bathroom was also really clean and spacious. The location was good, everywhere was within walking distance. The little pub right across the road was cosy, perfect after a long day of walking around. We personally didn't mind the stairs at all. I would definitely book again.

Nous recommandons le lieu pour son emplacement idéal, pour son confort et pour son calme. Nous reviendrons dans cet établissement lors de notre prochain séjour. (Il manque juste un petit frigo dans le style de la chambre et ce serait un 10/10) Rien, tout était parfait.

Biz şehre uzaklığı, merdivenleri ve duvar manzarasını çok dert etmedik ancak rezervasyon yaparken hangi odayı verdiklerini teyit edebilirseniz iyi olur, biz Tamara isimli odada kaldık. Konumu şehir merkezine yakın gibi gözükse de yağmur ve soğukta 20 dk tempolu yürümenin zorluğunu hesaba katmanız gerekir. Klasik Hollanda evlerinde olduğu gibi asansör olmamasını çok dert etmedik ama büyük ve ağır valizi olanlar için zorlayıcı olabilir. Biz çatı katında kaldık, manzarası binaların arasında kalan duvara bakıyordu. Tüm bu nedenlerle çocuklu aileler için uygun olmadığını belirtmek isterim. Fiyat performans açısından daha iyi yerler/oteller bulunabilir kanaatindeyim.

• Charlotte_df (10/5): Un sejour à la hauteur de nos attentes - L'appartement/chambre est grand, charmant, cocooning, beau, confortable, propre et douillet. On se sent comme à la maison. Il manque juste un tapis de bain dans la salle de bain pour plus de confort. Le lit est incroyable, les deux nuits ont été fabuleuses. L'atmosphere dans la chambre est parfaite.
• carla (10/5): A little oasis in Amsterdam - The room is extremely comfortable, and a calm space. We liked having a coffee machine for morning coffee. The area is quiet, with restaurants and pubs nearby.
• Madeleine (10/5): Excellent- lots of nice touches and a great location. - Very stylish room, in great condition and in a lovely location. Not cheap but nowhere in Amsterdam is cheap! Comfy big bed with two duvets was a nice touch. Lots of plug sockets and the snacks were welcome. We were very pleased with this room though and would stay here again. A few more hooks would have been helpful and also the towel rail was wobbly so there was no place to hang towels. Also if you’re a very tall person you might have to crouch a bit in the bathroom ! But the room itself had a v high ceiling.

• Graham (6/5): We would not rebook this hotel - Bedding and a large room There are 50+ narrow winding steps to the room. We arrived at this “hotel”, which is actually someone’s house. We had been given self check-in information, but decided to ring the door bell. The female owner was quite pleasant and she took a key from one, of the two security boxes outside the front door. I now believe it was a key taken from the wrong security box. She carried our two 20kg bags up the four flights of narrow stairs, quite a feat, showing us to our room. The room was well presented and very comfortable. The next morning, we left our keys in the security box at the front door. Unbeknown to us at the time we booked, the house has two rental rooms. Only photos and description on booking.com of the more expensive room was advertised. So we believed we were in the correct room. We arrived home at 7.00pm, to find the security box empty. We rang the door bell, but the owners were out. After sometime we managed to persuade the neighbours, who were relatives of the owners, to let us in to our room. The male owner then rang me to inform us that we had been placed in the wrong room, and that we would have to move to the “cheaper” room on our last night, giving no explanation why our keys were missing from the security box. The female owner then came up to our room attempting to explain the mixup. Apparently we had booked the “cheaper” smaller room on booking.com, and the more “expensive” room was now booked by another couple, who were not pleased with the mixup. We were told we were lucky to have had access to the more expensive room, at a cheaper rate., and our bags would be moved quickly and the move would be smooth and of no inconvenience to us. The owner was aware booking.com had not advertised the smaller room with the correct photos or description at the time of our booking. Later after rereading the self check-in information, we realised we had been given the keys to the wrong room.

• Peter (10/5): Perfect base for a citytrip in a modernized old A'dam townhouse. - The location made it a perfect base to go to the city by foot but still have a relaxing and quiet stay! Enough bars with a super chill athmosphere (not like the city center) and superb food venues ( breakfast/dining) around who serve very real food! The room was spacious, nice cosy bed ,good big bathroom with a luxurious shower. Absolutely a fantastic place to stay. Know that there is no airconditioning (for our US friends) , but a fan did all the work we needed. So no showstopper here .

No A/C and limited windows to open for air flow. Fan supplied but not adequate at night to sleep in a hot Amsterdam summer stretch. Room much smaller than expected. Barely enough room to walk around the bed and with all our luggage made it more challenging. Didn’t expect the extremity of the steep small spiral 3 floors of staircase to ascend to room. It was noted but but unless you’ve stayed somewhere like this before, you will be surprised. Don’t bring large luggage to this accommodation. Coming from Australia, we found it very expensive for what it was.
• GIOACCHINO (10/5): Una bella vacanza! - Appartamento accogliente e bagno molto grande. Un ottima accoglienza. Inoltre avevamo a disposizione sempre acqua e bibite fresche presenti nel frigo della zona comune così come asciugamani sapone e tutto il necessario senza limite. Abbiamo apprezzato molto anche la pulizia extra gratuita a metà del nostro periodo di soggiorno.la posizione è vicina al centro e ci si può tranquillamente spostare a piedi. Si consigliano bagagli piccoli per le scale un po ripide in quanto l appartamento è al terzo piano. Noi abbiamo fatto un po più fatica avendo la valigia grande.
• Wendy (10/5): A wonderful escape week in Amsterdam in a delightful, comfortable Dutch 1600s house. Well located ina terrific neighborh - The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were spacious. Many nice amenities including kettle, coffee machine, excellent snacks, and fridge filled with delicious waters and juices. There were nice products in the bathroom, plush towels, and robes. It had a lovely view into trees, and the window provided a nice breeze. A fan was also provided and we were encouraged to leave it on during two very hot days. The location was perfect - near bakeries, restaurants, local gathering places for drinks. Easy to walk to many places of interest - the zoo nearby was amazing, museums, canal swimming spots, etc. The owner was great at checking in to ensure all was well. It wasn’t a problem for us but the staircase is the traditional Dutch small spiral - which might be a problem for someone with mobility issues - but not us!

• Michael (9/5): Very nice Amsterdam room if your OK with a virtual reception person. - Spacious room in close to center but not too busy part of Amsterdam. Comfortable bed and very nice bathroom. Instructions for lock box combination to get keys were provided only the morning of our arrival via email, which is too late. Only my wife keeps her phone on when we travel, so I, who booked the rooms, only have sporadic access to my email. When calling for room access, at first the person didn't want to provide the combo over the phone. But a few minutes later they texted my wife the combo. Since it was raining this was a few minutes of grief.

Our host was very friendly, provided excellent restaurant recommendations within walking distance, and let us store our bags when we got in early so we could explore the area. • Michael (10/5): A beautiful loft with an Amsterdam vibe - Beautiful and very comfortable loft in a great location. The loft gave us a real “Amsterdam” feel. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. Everything is new, feels it has recently been refurbished and very clean. Super and very helpful hosts. A perfect “home” for our week long stay. Nothing-everything exceeded my expectations.

• Sebastiano (9/5): So easy too cool - The apartment is located near the central station and 20 minutes walk to the city centre (Dam Square). The host Thamar is so available and active to answer for any needs. I appreciated the presence of coffee and thea machine in the room. The room was very clean and complete with all the main amenities. I would add some battles of water and gives the possibility to the hosts to choose the temperature of the room with a thermostat.

We absolutely loved the location of the property as well. The hosts were just perfect in telling us their recommendations for the area, all of which were incredible! It was perfect! We loved everything about it.

The fact that the spiral stairs to go up/down to the room (3rd floor, no elevator) it's very difficult to do it with a large suitcase. The person in charge of the place is nice to help you but at 6:00 AM when i had to leave the place there is no one to help. Also there is no TV. It's not that far from main areas but not that close neither.

• Brenda (9/5): Charming room, thoughtful hosts and great location - but mind the stairs! - The location is great, within walking distance to cafe's, museums, shopping, tram and bus. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Thamar gave us a very warm greeting and helped us up the stairs with our luggage. The room had nice touches like chocolate and snacks, tea and coffee and fresh linen and supplies in a cupboard across the hall which we could help ourselves to. Despite the room being above the owners home it was very private and we were able to come and go as we pleased. We really enjoyed the traditional charm of the building and surrounding area. The room was a little stuffy and with only one window that opened and no aircon, it got quite hot. There was a fan but with our luggage (two big suitcases and two carry-on sized bags) there wasn't really room for the fan. It is worth noting the staircase is VERY steep and requires some physical effort to climb. While it is made clear on the booking site that the room is upstairs, you need to bear in mind that it's not suitable for elderly or frail people.

• Christopher (10/5): Clean room in quiet location close to everything - The room was very clean and uncluttered. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is large and we appreciated the rain shower. The fan and open window helped cool the room. It was very quiet even with the window open so we were able to sleep well. There were plenty of chocolates and espresso pods which we enjoyed.

One of the oldest pubs is half a block away. There were some snacks in the room upon arrival. Overall, it was a great stay! It would be nice to have some softer pillows. This is just a personal preference!

Our room was very comfortable and spacious with a great (also spacious) bathroom. The property was in a new part of Amsterdam for us in a quiet neighbourhood with a good bakery, bar and choice of local places to eat. We enjoyed the walk into the city.
• Madelynn (4/5): Disappointing and uncomfortable - It’s in a decent location but still a good walk from most attractions. Upon arrival the comforter had a few stains on it, some old, some new and can only be assumed not washed between guests. The room I was staying in was uncomfortably hot, even with the fan on. There was no opportunity to open the window to get fresh air in without letting people walking (possibly hosts?) by look directly into the room. It was a choice between privacy and comfort. Without the window and natural light, the room felt very claustrophobic. This stay felt more like staying in room in someone’s house versus staying in a B&B as there was zero interaction with the hosts.

The location is excellent for exploring the centre of Amsterdam. The stair access is narrow and there is no elevator. No air conditioning.
