- Wes (10/5): Great air con and a fantastic location! - Apartment on the first floor (2nd floor to Americans) so not too many steps. The air con in the bedroom was excellent. The shower had good water pressure and hot water. The bathroom was a good size. We liked having the sofa and kitchen table and chairs for relaxing. We did one load of laundry (washed only) and hung to dry. The washing machine worked well.
The location in Trastevere was fantastic! Bar San Calisto was a block away or so and had excellent coffee and pastries in the morning and was a fun, local bar scene at night. Lots of other bars, restaurants and shopping nearby. Would absolutely stay here again! The hairdryer shorted and sparked when my wife tried to use it. We notified the owner immediately but did not get a new one. It was too hot to use the blowdryer anyway, so it didn’t matter to her.
- Gregory (9/5): Beautiful apartment and a great location - Great location. Close to all the activity in Trastevere, but on a quiet side street. Very high ceilings. There's a full size bed in the bedroom and also the sofa in the living room. Love that it had a washing machine and a well equipped kitchen. Tons of restaurants, grocery stores, shops nearby. This is my third time in Trastevere and I love it. It's a 30 minute walk to the Vatican and 30 minutes or less to the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountian and Piazza Navona. I was not aware that access to the front door and the apartment door was via a website. The owners sent a link to fill out collecting passport info etc. At the end, it shows an icon with front door and apartment door. I was expecting a keypad entry, but you must have an international plan so that you can access the website to gain access to the apartment. It's called https://vikey.it/en/home-page/
I generally use the free WiFi, so I don't get the international plan. It worked well once I added that, but it added $15 per day for me. If you travel with international calling then it shouldn't be a problem.
- Lebedeva (9/5): Superb - Everything was perfect, but I had such issues:
1) it was cold, so if you are travelling in spring, you need to know that in Rome heating works strange
2) there were no frying pan lids, so we needed to adapt and use plates (we did not want to buy anything extra)
Everything else was very good : service, place, neighbours, etc. I would definitely recommend this place for stay!
- Ana (5/5): + location & clean, but would absolutely not repeat for numerous reasons - - nice location, central Trastevere, lots of things around, yet fairly quiet because it is oriented towards the inside yard, no elevator but first floor
- Clean - very complicated check in, make sure to get the instructions in advance (you need to send different types of photos of your document and yourself)
- Both guests had to be there for check in and in our case we were arriving from different locations at different times which was a problem
- app instead of a key - you have to have internet to open the door of the apt first time (later you can use wifi)
- taxes (city tax and Trastevere tax) not included in booking price (+88eur for 2ppl for 4 nights)
- freezing cold - heating in Rome starts Nov 15, but AC not working well and only in the bedroom (high walls, slow heating, batteries had to be changed and AC wasn’t plugged in…)
- communication with host generally ok, but sometimes late for a few hours
- ridiculous prices for 1hour earlier check in (42eur) or leaving the luggage in the hallway of the apartment for 2hours (25eur) - fyi luggage lockers nearby asked for 8eur
- shower drain plugged and flooded the bathroom (later we saw it is also mentioned in another review here on booking), no mop to clean it
- bathroom doorknob was broken
- kitchen equipped with very basic utensils
- fridge working but frosted
- taken all mentioned in consideration - overpriced apartment
- Alexander (10/5): Excellent accomodation for a couple in Rome - This is a very comfortable apartment. It is spacious (a living room/kitchen, a bedroom and a good-size bathroom) and impeccably clean. There are all modern amenities - an AC, a washing machine, a dishwasher, strong WiFi. The kitchen has a stove, an oven and a microwave. The location couldn't be better - in the lively Trastevere neighborhood. In short, this is a perfect accomodation for a couple to have a comfortable vacation stay in Rome. The online check-in procedure was extremely annoying. You need to fill out a separate form and upload 3 (!) photos of ID for each guest. The phone signal reception near the building is poor, and the uploading takes forever (I recommend to do that someplace else, where the Internet connection is good). Then you have to unlock the doors online, too, which may or may not work depending on the connection (fortunately, then the host provides physical keys as well).
- Kochel (9/5): should have stayed longer - location is perfect a little crowded for 4 people, perfect for 3
- Sophie (7/5): Good - Great location close to lots of restaurants and bars, but in a quiet street. I didn’t enjoy the way you have to unlock the front door with internet on your phone (even once you’re inside : dangerous if there’s an emergency and you need to find your phone to unlock the front door…). Also, there’s a washing machine but no washing line so a bit difficult to get clothes to dry…
- Karen (2/5): Stressful - Location in Trastevere On arrival we could not get in faulty code on external building door, our contact never answers our calls or text so in the end I used a local resident who lived in the building to call from his phone and they gave us emergency key outside in locked box . Once inside Shower Plug hole blocked so base fills up , shower door comes off hinges so easily falls off, toilet seat loose, shower head bracket broken , sink leaks over floor when I ran the tap.
I did report all the issues so hopefully they fix the problems as it’s a great location and apartment has potential to be great.
- Ryan (10/5): AC in august is key. This delivered - Easy check in just have cellphone service. Was clean and close to the action while still being quiet at night. The air conditioner was perfect, the bed was comfortable. The shower could use a better head. But that's being picky.
- Elmira (8/5): We liked it overall - Good location, spacious apartment, quiet neighborhood -We had some issues with AC not working properly
-The city tax was twice as high as expected due to Trastevere tax in addition to Rome tax
- Dhruv (7/5): Good -
- Geissy (9/5): Great location and very quaint apartment! It was perfect for 2 people. Make sure you have WiFi or data to get in or they - Great location, great WiFi, good communication with the owner I didn’t have WiFi so I had to pay €9.90 to get the physical key
- Whitney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional - This place was brilliant. Perfect location and well equipped. Very quiet at night.
- Marco (9/5): location is prime - The location is great, close to lots of of things yet in a location that is not overrun by tourists in the most popular areas. would choose again.
- Luka (10/5): Heart of Trastevere - This accommodation has it all - it's at a perfect location, just at the heart of Trastevere, it's comfortable, clean and so beautifully cozy. It felt welcoming each time we returned from a long walk through Rome. I recommend staying here, even for longer periods of time. It'll give you that authentic experience of liveliness and warmth that is a staple of Italy. There was a problem regarding extra fees that weren't in the listing. But the hosts came through and gave us a hand, eventually.
- Rose (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juan (8/5): very nice apartment and location - great location. one of the best places in Trastevere.
- Mirela (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect, being very easy to visit Rome by foot. The facilities exceeded my expectations and the Trastevere district was a very pleasant area to stay in during our visit.
- Daanheerw (8/5): It was good, accommodation was good and location was even better. - Location was very good, a quick walk and you were in the heart of Trastevere
