We had a nice breakfast served each morning in the lovely sunporch overlooking the beautiful yard.

• Astrid (10/5): Exceptional - Bev is a wonderful host. She made me feel welcome from the first to the last second I spent at her lovely B&B. The breakfasts were delicious - homemade bread and blueberry jam, English breakfast - in short: everything the heart, or rather the stomach desires. I'd rate her and her B&B with a 5*+, not least for Bev's warm-heartedness and sense of humour.
• Smadar (1/5): Not Recommended - Our recent stay at the Bear and Butterfly Bed and Breakfast was very disappointing. We had booked a two-night stay but decided to leave after just one night. During check-in, we asked the owner where we could smoke, as we knew it was a non-smoking property. The owner told us we could only smoke outside, so we made sure to comply with this rule and only smoked outside the property. However, the next morning, the owner knocked loudly at our door and falsely accused us of smoking in the room. Although there were smoking supplies in the room, they were unused. Due to the owner's behaviour, we felt unwelcome at the property and made the decision to check out. We intended to settle the bill for the one night we stayed, but the property owner mentioned that she was unable to modify the reservation because it was made through a third party (Booking.com). According to the property's policy, all modifications and cancellations are to be handled through the Booking.com platform. However, Booking.com requires the property's consent for any modifications to the reservation, making it appear that the property has control over the refund process. I paid the full amount with the understanding that I could resolve any issues through Booking.com, but this has proven to be misleading and dishonest.

Bev is a wonderful host with very helpful ideas and suggestions that made our visit to the area more special and fulfilling. Loved the location of the house. Open areas and peaceful. No cars Not touristy like other areas we visited.

• Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was our choice and delicious. Great host and just outside of the town so you get peace and quiet. During the day before we went for dinner we had deer grazing outside our window. Great experience.

The breakfasts were so good ( especially the home made bread and wild strawberry jam). We found a gem with this B&B and can’t wait to go back. Can’t think of a thing we didn’t like!
