Guest Reviews
- Manisha (1/5): Pathetic service and then pathetic booking.com customer service - They did not let us in and was very rude
The owner was not sorry atall and behaved Asif it’s normal to cancel 5 mins before checkin and it was us at fault to not understand him rather The owner was extremely rude to us and caused too much inconvenience
I was in the road with my whole family with one me never on wheelchair and a 1 year old baby
We missed out ho on hop off booking completely which can’t be be paid back to us
The time I missed with my family cannot be given back
- Phil (1/5): Bad -
- Kirsty (7/5): Good - Very good location
Good communication from host The stairs are quite tricky to navigate
Needs a good deep clean
Apparently there is ac but when we arrived to drop of our bags it was boiling and we asked about ac but the guy didn’t speak English - we had a VERY hot night.
Cotton bedding would have helped
- Ryan (1/5): Nothing as they didn’t leave a key and cancelled the booking with no prior warning! Travelled all the way to London and - Nothing as they didn’t leave a key and cancelled the booking with no prior warning! Travelled all the way to London and then was left with no place to stay, avoid at all costs! Nothing as they didn’t leave a key and cancelled the booking with no prior warning! - Diane (6/5): It‘s a very spacious and ideally located for a trip to central London. - The entrance and living-room /kitchen were excellent. The location is also very good. The linen was not clean in two beds. There were crumbs and stains on the bed sheets.
Besides, the bathroom at the bottom of the flat is pitch black, as you can’t easily find the lights. It’s a dark vault and could be used for a horror movie. Using that toilet is not easy if you are afraid of spiders for example.
- Abby (1/5): Rude host, filthy place, no working teles, no WiFi, no towels. - Honestly, nothing. We couldn’t wait to leave, we got the earlier train back home! Everything. Especially the dungeon that we had to use as a toilet, the dirty food underneath the dining table, the non existent WiFi, the lack of towels, the lack of cleanliness, the clumps of dust absolutely everywhere, the RUDENESS of the host when contacted about issues we were having, the ice cold shower on the top floor, the dirty plates and cutlery, the bites we all got!
- Valerie (1/5): This was one of the worst places I have ever booked and I travel at least once a month. - Nothing we ended up booking at a hotel down the street. Upon arrival we encountered several serious cleanliness and hygiene issues that raised immediate health concerns. These included:
• The key was not in the lockbox as instructed, preventing us from accessing the property properly.
• While trying to contact the host a man opened the door and told us to give him a minute.
• Black Mold in the bathroom
• Dirty floors and furniture
• Strong unpleasant odors throughout the space
• Visible dust and grime on surfaces
• Poor overall sanitation.
• There were no paper towels provided.
• The trash can was broken and wouldn’t open, contributing to the unsanitary environment.
• There was no welcome guide or instructions provided at the property for the property, making it difficult to understand how to use basic amenities.
• The air conditioning did not work, and we received no response or contact from the host regarding this issue — or the unexpected presence of someone in the property — until the following morning.
I have more than 4 photos.
- Malcolm (9/5): Perfect for group - Location is perfect Stairs
- Janice (1/5): Worst accommodation I have ever stayed in - .Nothing as nothing at all to like about this property Everything property was filthy and dangerous with no health and safety measures. No handrails on the stairs. bare wires hanging in the bathroom. nails sticking up from the floor board. Sheets hadn't been changed from previous occupants. Cleaning had not been completed.
- Rasheedat (9/5): Perfect for its purpose - The location, communication with the host and efficiency of check in/out. The property was also absolutely stunning, the images don’t do it justice! There’s also a lot of space and there were a lot of extras. The only reason the property doesn’t get a 10 is because beds could’ve been made a bit better and a few areas were slightly unclean but nothing major.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - A stylish and spacious apartment in an excellent location. The 7 of us really enjoyed our stay. Host was good at communications. The apartment was ready on time and key easy to access. Couldn't get WiFi to work.
Can't lock down stairs loo.
- Martin (2/5): Great location but that is all; not what I expect for just shy of £700/night - Excellent location. Where to start.....dirty, mouldy, dusty, damp, towels and linen smelly or unclean. My wife suffers from allergies and the conditions were almost unbearable for her.
None of the TV's worked, the walls/ceilings had damp staining and what looked like blood. There were hairs in the bath.
The linen was mismatched and smelled.
The sheets and bedding just did not fit.
The curtains were torn and not hung properly.
To be honest had we not been under time pressure for an event that evening we would have left.
The pictures in the advert do not represent the reality.
I've added the 4 pictures that the site allows but the reality is much more grim!
We would not use it again.
I regularly use booking.com and this is the worst property I have ever stayed in.
- Samantha (10/5): Covent Garden Shopping - Beautiful house in perfect location to access all of Central London. 2 minute walk from Covent Garden
The house has been finished to a high standard.
- Victoria (5/5): Passable - location
- Julie (9/5): Very comfortable stay with easy access to all the places we had planned to visit. - The location was perfect for our theatre visit and shopping the next day. Easy walking distance from the West End and Covent Garden.
- Gorman (9/5): Superb -
- Jay (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (6/5): Perfect location. Bed sheets looked dirty which made us feel uncomfortable to sleep on - especially first en-suite ro. - Location Bed Sheets looked stained.
No downstairs toilet so interrupted the other people in the en-suite rooms
No cold water from kitchen sink and first bathroom.
Bathrooms are a bit shabby.
- Donna (8/5): Secure and fabulous location, - Location was fantastic and lots of communal space . The lower bathroom was a little damp and this put the one guest off using the bathroom.
- Pamela (5/5): Good location but property needs TLC - The 2 en suite bedrooms were fine but the bedroom on the first floor only has a bed settee and not a proper bed so not very comfortable and the bathroom for this room is down stairs (one flight of stairs is particularly dangerous as there is no handrail) in the lower ground floor. The property needs a good clean and a manual to explain the lights, heating and kitchen appliances. There is also a step just as you come in the door which needs to be highlighted as it's difficult to see and one of our group missed the step and ended up with a lot of bruising and a split head.
The location is fabulous.
- Emily (6/5): Overall, a great apartment. Perfect central location. - Great location & lovely apartment, perfect for groups. Toilet out of order so we had to use the top floor en-suite during the night.
A strip eyelash in the bathroom when we arrived. Floor was very dirty and dusty. Not as clean as we would’ve hoped.
- Amandeep (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sean (5/5): Passable - Great location The lower bathroom was a literal dungeon, dark and moldy, with water continually seeping through the brick.
- Tommy (7/5): Good -
- Alison (8/5): Cosey in Covent Garden - As others have mentioned, the location of this apartment is fantastic and if that’s your priority you can’t go wrong here. Right in the heart of Covent Garden amongst the shops, theatres, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Also near a few train stations and there’s a Tesco very close-by down the street. Easy walk to Chinatown and Oxford street too. The apartment is very nice, spacious, interesting design and has a lot of character - the bottom bathroom area gets the imagination going! It’s nice that they have lots of tea/coffee and cooking condiments and crockery supplied. Has a washer and dryer too and a big tv. There are a number of floors so if you have mobility challenges or small kids it could be difficult, as the kitchen and lounge is on the lower ground floor, dining on the mezzanine floor and bedrooms on upper 3 floors. As mentioned by others, it’s a fantastic apartment but in need of some minor repairs and maintenance as there is paint peeling in the bathroom from steam as the extractor fan is not working, some lights need new bulbs etc. It could do with a thorough deep clean too as I had to clean the dishwasher filter that was clogged and had broken glass, window sills and cupboards need a wipe down, some cookware is losing its non stick surface. However if it is constantly booked it could be hard to get this maintenance done. It would be helpful to have an info sheet to advise on household & garbage instructions as we found out all garbage is bagged together and left outside under the tree and collections are every day. As mentioned before, the Sun pub next door is busy and it can be a bit noisy from patrons later in the evening (quite entertaining though).
- Linda (9/5): Very enjoyable - would definitely return. - Step just to the right after stepping through the front door could be more noticeable.
Also - could really do with a rail at the bottom part of the stairs.
No shower or toilet in the 1st floor bedroom - and a
mirror would have been nice in that room.
- Carol (8/5): Fabulous location. Very quirky apartment, full of character. - The location is absolutely fantastic The first floor bedroom does not have an ensuite, even though the FAQ states that all bedrooms are en-suite. The downstairs toilet room is very damp.
- Irene (9/5): Superb -
- Girija (5/5): Passable -
- Mitchell (7/5): Great value, large place, great area! - The Apartment is very large, great location, and was great for our holiday stay. The host had to come out and fix the heating (but they were very responsive about it) and the bathrooms needed a little cleaning.
- Saleh (10/5): Exceptional - Every thing is wonderful except that the check out is at 11 i hate this
- Chloe (8/5): Great location fantastic place to stay - Great location, very spacious house with plenty of lovely rooms!
Stylish decor, host very helpful!
We had a great time and hope to visit again Pub a little noisy so might not be great for a family stay, but was ok for us!
- Katie (5/5): Passable - The location was perfect and had the right number of bedrooms. It was rather dirty and there were lots of damaged things.
Alongside the list to follow, the most disturbing thing was the used sanitary towel in the corner of the middle bedroom.
- many missing light switch knobs
- dirty cutlery
- the iron has burnt bits and
- Adam (10/5): Superb - Excellent location and lovely property
- Simon (9/5): Place was perfect - Location was absolutely brilliant. Needs an extra bathroom if you are a larger group but not really a big issue.
- Sara (9/5): Great location and clean well designed interior - The location and the layout Bathroom facilities
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Nick (8/5): absolutely fantastic - great space for a larger group nothing
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlie (8/5): Great central location, beautiful home, staff were very friendly and accommodating - would recommend! -
- Clarice (9/5): Absolutely great. Looking to stay again. Couldn't be happier. Perfect location, lovely pictures too. - Beautiful decor and layout, unquiet quality's. Going up and down the stairs but that's more a fitness thing.
- Heather (9/5): Superb - The location & having the entire house to ourselves was fab. Communication with the owner was easy. A great find, will definately use again if booking for a larger group. Thankyou.
- Matt (9/5): Superb - Excellent location , nice pub next door , lots of space, host was easy to reach and instructions provided were very good. Shower was excellent and really comfortable beds. Buzzing noise when arrived which was the washing machine. But was sorted after a phone call
- Matthew (10/5): A very nice stay - Very nice apartment in a central location. Would recommend N/A
- Tracey (7/5): Good - Location - lovely at first glance , big kitchen Staircase dangerous - no lights downstairs
- Patrick (7/5): Fun - the style and layout of the property was stunning the one bathroom downstairs look very unsafe as the electrical outlets were next to the shower
- Catherine (2/5): Terrible - Location Filthy
- Martina (4/5): Good location but not a clean or comfortable stay - On arrival the apartment is quirky and looks fun. It was in a great location for what we were there to do. However would not recommend and would not stay again. Was really looking forward to this stay as the photos etc looked good. Unfortunately the reality was different.
Claims it was cleaned to hotel standard. - there were fruit flies everywhere in the kitchen and we couldn’t figure out why - until we opened the dishwasher. Weeks ,if not months of old dishes in there with severe mould !! The grease on the extractor fan was another fly attraction.
Curtains in first bedroom completely ripped to shreds.
Totally understand it’s an older building but if you spend anymore than a night you see how much tlc is needed.
Inconvenience of no mirror in first bedroom nor in the downstairs toilet / shower which means people end of up sharing en suites.
It is beside a pub so it’s noisy at night until around midnight and then the pub delivery arrived at 730am the next morning - hand balling each individual barrel- vibrates through the whole house.
If you or any of your party have any accessible needs please be aware that it is stairs to every level and one of the stairs doesn’t have a banister.
- Wendy (9/5): Wished I could have stayed longer. Will definitely come back and stay here. - Location excellent!
- Jeanne (6/5): Fab location, host very pleasant and amicable..just needs a little love. - Location was excellent and a few minutes from Covent Garden. Short Uber ride from main rail stations. And surprisingly quiet given how central it is. It feels unloved. Could be absolutely stunning but the lamp was broken, lights didn’t work, bed tv didn’t work, downstairs shower felt damp, curtains and sofa torn.
It also felt a little dirty. Basics were clean but there were dirty plates. The appliances hadn’t been wiped and were greasy.
It needs a deep clean and a lick of paint as it could be amazing.
And if you have children, there is no safety rail on one set of stairs.
- Elise (9/5): Lovely accommodation in a fantastic location. - Great location, lovely accommodation for the extended family
- Elaine (3/5): Property not upto standard - The location was convenient. The property need to have a complete deep clean and all bedding etc needs to be updated.
The floors and work surfaces were dirty, numerous lights not working, damp smell in the lounge area.
- Daniel (4/5): Overpriced compared to many other venues and a hotel would have been a better option for us on reflection - Location but it was right next to a noisy and busy pub which was open late Sheets weren’t very clean and beds hadn’t been set up as requested
- Stuart (10/5): Fabulous place, friendly hosts and all round great booking. - This is a remarkable property - not the sort of thing you expect in London. It is homely, huge, and full of all the home comforts and conveniences. I wish we could have stayed longer.
- Audrey (5/5): Passable - Great location The apartment smelled of damp, there were lots of tiny flies in the kitchen. It generally felt grubby/unclean. Mismatched bed clothes. It is not kept to “hotel standard” as described
The toilet/shower downstairs was unusable, it was damp dusty and dungeon like. The other two bathrooms are en-suites which is not ideal with a big group. There was no cold water in the tap of one of the en-suite bathrooms. The shower heads were not clean and there was only one bottle of shower gel in one of the bathrooms. None in the others - again not to “hotel standard”
- Kelly (8/5): Great location, massive apartment and host easy to communicate with - Large apartment, location was perfect. It’s right nice door to a very busy pub so until that was closed it was extremely noisy.
Needed some dish cloths to wash up or dish washer tablets.
- Jonathon (10/5): Warm and Comfy +++ - Very huge, warm, best place we’ve stayed into so it’s worth the money! Nothing
- Misha (10/5): Beautiful cosy interiors, amazing location, great host - Stayed in the property with my friends for my birthday and it made it absolutely special! Communication with our lovely host was easy and fast and the airbnb was in an amazing central area around loads of shops, restaurants and underground station. The property is super accommodating for a large group and extremely spacious, me and my friends were stunned by the aesthetics of the place and will definitely be returning, would definitely recommend.
- Sara (6/5): Wonderful location, but difficult with young children - Location Very steep stairs, one bedroom per floor, but only two ensuite. Very narrow
- Thi (7/5): Good -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Loved the place, would highly recommend it to any groups or family - Location, Location, Location! It was the perfect location for what we needed. The layout was well thought out and it was perfect for a large group There was an unpleasant musty smell that came from the basement where the toilet and shower was. It would have been helpful to have instructions on how to work everything. Many of the lights didn’t work or the TV’s in the room
- Diane (7/5): Would stay here again but massively overcharged and I can’t seem to rectify it. - Location amazing. Bedding poor. Such an easy thing to get right.
- Jordy (7/5): Good - Location of the accomodation was great and well as the check-in procedure.
Rooms were spacious as well Third bed and bathroom were a bit disappointing.
Also the kitchen could've been cleaner.
TV sound wasn't working properly
- Paula (8/5): Great location for a spacious apartment - Great location! Central Covent Garden and ideal for theatres! The apartment is next to a pub which meant it was slightly noisy outside. The lower floor of the apartment smelt damp and uninviting.
- Christian (10/5): Great apartment, very spacious with 4 different floors located near holburn staion -
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (5/5): Ok, needs some repairs and attention. - Great location for London, the apartment is a really good size, well equipped kitchen. Good communication from host. It could be so nice, but it is really run down, very grubby, needs a full deep clean and some repairs. Downstairs smells very musty and the downstairs toilet leaks into the floor.
- Josh (10/5): Wonderful home. Decently would stay there again. But there are lots to steps - Great location. Commutation was excellent All the steps 60 steps total in the house
- Natasha (8/5): Very good - Location is great. Amazing kitchen/dining/living space - perfect place for celebrating a friends birthday. Furnishings are a little tired. Terrace wasn't accessible.
- Jeremy (10/5): Brilliant thanks - Stylish, comfortable, well equipped and great central location. The pictures are what you see when you walk in, which isn’t always the case.
Bedrooms, whilst not entirely accessible, were comfortable, good sized beds, two decent en-suites.
Yep, all in all we’d use this again or happily put team members in and feel they were safe and comfortable. Not so much “dislike” more an awareness that the bedrooms are all reached via a very steep narrow staircase
- Elton (9/5): Superb - Ticks every box if you want accommodation that’s spacious and walking distance to all of London’s hot spots.
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Jamie (1/5): Bad - We left our luggage on the day of checking out and the cleaner went through our bags and stole a pair of AirPods.
Host was unwilling to assist with this when raised and justified them being taken due to us not having paid the £15 luggage fee.
- Holly (7/5): Great building and location not matched by cleanliness and facilities - Exceptional location The TVs didn’t work. Dirty glasses and crockery in the cupboards. Damp smell in lower floors. Cheap mattresses and sofas beds not matching price and quality of property
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gemma (8/5): Very good - Beds super comfy, location absolutely perfect, lovely house for a group of people Needs some TLC and a really good clean, sound on TV wasn't brilliant, couldn't get the TV to work in the bedrooms, temperature control on showers weren't brilliant the heads need replacing as water just goes everywhere.
- Erin (7/5): Good -
- Ryan-davies (10/5): Perfect accommodation in a wonderful location 😁 - The property was absolutely stunning in every way!!! Nothing
- Emmanuel (10/5): Exceptional - The whole apartment is stunning from start to finish what a way to be welcomed into London.
- Gabriella (7/5): Good - Stylish open space which was great for spending time with friends. Great central location. The kitchen was poorly equipped for 11 guests. There weren't many glasses or crockery.
- Anthony (5/5): Great location, but apartment doesn’t live up to expectations or price - Location Aged apartment, low level of maintenance. Too many issues identified for the premium price. Too many issues
- Maura (8/5): Beautiful Place in a Central Location - Great Location and the decor was amazing. It's not very friendly for older people as the stairs are a little steep and there is no bannister for some steps.
There was a small mix-up with the key, but the host amended this very quickly . Thank you.
- Esther (9/5): Superb - Everything Would have loved to have been here on a longer stay
- Lisa (8/5): Covent Garden stay - Perfect location & great to have shared space for us all to chat. Property suited us perfectly & all enjoyed our stay, thanks Couple of issues which need addressing - wardrobe doors on 3rd floor fell off! Didn't even use them as we had taken minimal clothing but could have been very dangerous!!. Sink in ensuite on 2nd floor didnt drain, assuming it was blocked.
Downstairs bathroom a no no, very damp & dark. Having said that, between us the other 2 bathrooms more than adequate.
- Owen (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maeve (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely rooms and great location. Can be noisy next to the pub at night but didn’t bother us
- Laura (7/5): Location great - Absolutely brilliant location, great neighbourhood with fabulous restaurants within walking distance and so close to multiple theatres. House very spacious good for a big group travelling together. Layout was very innovative with lots of space. House is a bit tired, broken wardrobe doors, peeling paint, and didn’t feel overly clean, damp musty smell strong in kitchen area.
- Gary (9/5): Fabulous!! Would stay again. - Just home from a couple of days in London. Stayed at the Leonardo hotel in Heathrow on night 1 and was ok. Usual standard hotel stay.
2nd night was here and was brilliant!!
Family were blown away by the standard of the property and I was thrilled with the location too. In the heart of the Westend with parking a 2 minute walk from the property and plenty of food outlets, coffee shops and a pub right next door.
Owner was very responsive and helpful during our stay.
If you’re planning a theatre or shopping trip then I’d take this place over a hotel stay any day!!!
Well done and a huge thank you to Ziya and the team for our stay.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic property .and Fantastic location Very quirky the whole family loved the layout
- Katie (4/5): Disappointing stay - The location to Covent Garden is great
Entrance level and open plan kitchen is nice 2 bathrooms are in bedrooms so you have to disturb people in the night and other bathroom is in basement which is damp and has a leak from the skylight. 2 showers are also cold so only the top floor bathroom is useable. Doors to bathroom don’t fully close ? Mould behind items such as mirrors and pictures. Damp patches in every room. Property looks tired and outdated. Not enough glasses etc in kitchen. Bed linen and towels only for 6 despite paying for a group of 8. Property not fully clean (dishwasher loaded but not ran through). Bedding etc very cheap and not luxury feel you’d expect for price. Complained to manager who looks after property and was offered partial refund but then on day of check out refused to pay. Luckily booking.com step in to help out and granted me partial refund.
- Carly (9/5): We will definately be using again and I would highly recommend. - The location was amazing
The communication with the owner was fantastic.
The property was just as described and as shown in pictures and very clean. The bed was super comfortable.
I stayed with my two young children I felt very safe and we all slept well.
- Fraser (9/5): Superb -
- Shulan (10/5): Central London location, nice and big apartment, All my friends enjoyed this stay very much - Location, very good space for family and friends, nice kitchen and living room, 2 en-suite bedrooms and super king size beds Nothing
- Mandy (5/5): Disappointed - Location was great apart from being next door to a loud late night pub with lots of people outside talking loudly all night House was cold, no heating on in January! It has air con which we turned up high but didn't heat so turned off. Internet was very intermittent. Tv kept on losing connection in living room, so kept going off & even when it was on the sound was terrible/muffled. The TV's in the bedrooms didn't even work. Fairy lights all over the house but none of the batteries worked. Decor was tired, voukd do with a fresh coat of paint as peeling in areas!
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
