Guest Reviews
- Pippa (10/5): Lovely stay for a wedding - great house with beautiful finishings -
- Amanda (7/5): Well-appointed house for a weekend away, loved the outdoor bath and firepit - Lovely house, fireplace, firepit, outdoor bath, great layout The bed frames creaked every time you moved! It was quite pricey.
- LC (8/5): Hinterland getaway - Great bedrooms and lovely bathrooms. Well appointed kitchen. Laundry. Huge dining table. Great wraparound laundry. Stairs not so good for older people with walking issues. Road noise during the day. Steep driveway.
- Tango Traveller (8/5): A Great short stay at the Breezy Maple - The Breezy Maple has four bedrooms, 3 with king size beds and one with 4 bunks. The beds are comfortable with ample pillows, fresh crisp sheets and dunas. The block out curtains, Airconditioning and fans make the rooms very easy to set the right temperature and ambience. The lounge has a free standing convection fireplace which we used and very much enjoyed. The kitchen was well stocked with glassware, crockery and cutlery. Our time at the Breezy Maple was during a very wet weekend so we spent much of our time together chatting, eating and playing games. The balcony area is well set up for social times.
We found a great pizza place called The Local and had a fabulous dinner at the Mapleton Public House and High Tea at Flaxton Gardens. It's such a beautiful area. No firewood or materials are provided to start the fire or for the firepit which is a feature of the house advertising. Nor is this or where to get these supplies communicated to customers.
The beautiful outdoor bath, also an attraction in the house advertising was not cleaned prior to our entry which we rectified but it was unexpected and disappointing. Due to the weather conditions we were not able to make use of it or the well kept grounds. It rained the entire 3 days and this meant it was very wet and muddy to get to the bins. A useful large bin is provided in the kitchen but without bin bags that fitted it... Very inconvenient. There are two knives in the block, neither appropriate for preparing meals for 8 people. Both bathrooms were spacious, modern and clean but providing fiddly little hotel room bottles and soaps is messy and might be more usefully changed to refillable wall mounted containers. There is no BBQ so cooking is all in the kitchen. I do understand that a BBQ adds to the cleaning costs. The bedside tables and lamps are not compatible with the height of the beds. It is not possible to turn out the bedside light without getting out of bed. We had the experience of a pillow falling off the bed in the middle of the night and hitting the lamp off the low bedside table, breaking the lamp. I expect to replace the lamp but expect that this may also happen quite regularly. I am sure that you are already aware of the parking issues. Offering one car parking for 6.+adults and providing no options is not reasonable. Access to the double garage. would be an improvement.
Please understand that these comments are meant only to support future clients. With my best regards Wendy.

- Karin (2/5): Dirty Disappointed and distressed - Big deck big beds lots of glassware outdoor bath It was dirty unclean poorly managed and poorly maintained. Arrived for 3pm and house was not cleaned from previous booking days before. Toilets unflushed dirty smelly linen in common areas. Still unpacking dishwasher at 9pm guest night. Cleaners in accommodation until 7pm first night. Did not have bunk room made up as would have taken cleaners another 1 hour. Downstairs is vacant and storage area Weird outdoor shower on back of house. Fireplace and fire pit with no supplies. Steep driveway difficult access Poor resolution given 10% compensation refund $200 of $2180 3 night stay from Jonathan for inconvenience and distress of unclean property
- Lauren (9/5): Great location, amazing views - perfect getaway. - The location was perfect, great views to the ocean, and the house itself was ideal for a weekend getaway. It had everything you'd need. Some lamps and curtains in the living room would have made it feel more cosy (and keep the heat in) but it didn't detract from the overall experience, I would still absolutely recommend the property,
- Emma (10/5): Loved it! - Everything was amazing. The house was so well looked after, clean, the beds were comfortable, bathrooms were great & the view was beautiful. We plan on doing our girls trip here again next year.
- Fay (9/5): - Location was excellent. Amazing views. Fireplace to keep warm. Spacious bedrooms. Great for family holidays. No vanity/large hand basin in first bathroom. Just a tiny handbasin suitable for washing hands only even though the bathroom itself was very spacious. Family used the sink near the washing machine as it was much larger.
- Sandra (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return - This is amazing with spectacular views
- Toni (9/5): This large home accommodated extended family for a special, cozy, weekend away. - The bedrooms were spacious and all beds and bed linen were lovely. The view was amazing. Wood fire was on our whole visit. Kitchen facilities were great. No wood for the fire and no knowledge that we would have to provide it. Exit and entry onto the road/street was hard.
- Natalia (9/5): Superb -
- Sara (9/5): Great location and perfect for groups. - The place was very clean, comfortable and perfect for our group. The views were a bonus. Despite the rain we managed to use the fire pit. Fabulous. Phone signal is a bit sketchy (all along the hinterland drive, not just the house) so there was some difficulty receiving and responding to messages from the accommodation.
- Denham (9/5): Superb -
- Banda (9/5): Superb -
- Denise (9/5): Superb -
- Ross (7/5): A well located, very comfy house with a well stocked kitchen. Really enjoyed the fire pit! - Lack of aircon was a bit of a surprise. Was fine once all windows and doors had been opened to let the breeze through.
- Malinda (8/5): Very good -
- Marlene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jerry (10/5): Highly recommended place as a base to explore the Sunshine coast hinderland. - Wonderful place. The hosts were very responsive. We arrived at Brisbane from an international flight and called up the hosts to check on logistics - everything was clearly explained. Check-in process and getting the key were very smooth; and the house is amazing. Though it was raining, the views from the windows is better than what the photos are showing. Will stay again. A bit of ants - but it is raining outside which probably led to more ants. The place is super clean despite some ants spotted in the kitchen area.
- Michelle (10/5): Lovely, comfortable and relaxing - very Zen place 🥰 - Our group of friends loved the attention to detail and special touches e.g. heaps of plates and cups, and snuggly rugs to get comfy, plus all relevant cooking utensils. Lovely styling and decor including the cute towel origami! Coffee machine and provision of coffee pods and tea bags was a happy bonus. Great views, enhanced by 3 king parrots and a cockatoo in the tree near the outdoor fire pit. We parked 6 cars there, with 3 at the front and 3 at the back. There was nothing to dislike!
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional - The home was beautiful, comfortable & clean with a great view. Very well appointed, all you need is your food. There was always a lovely breeze on the balcony. There was nothing to dislike about this property, I would book it again.
- Karyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Overall we had a lovely stay and definitely would recommend to anyone looking to have a quiet, relaxing getaway. - The views were spectacular. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Also, the location is close to Montville, Mapleton and Maleny. There is an IGA and petrol station just a couple minutes away as well. And we all enjoyed sitting around the fire pit. The kids loved roasting marshmallows. Only a couple suggestions. We noticed that there was no bbq which was fine as we had brought meals that didn’t require a bbq but it would be nice to have one on the deck especially in summer.
And maybe have some firewood there. It wasn’t a problem as we just popped out to the petrol station and bought some.
- Tara (10/5): Loved our stay, would definitely recommend! - Location, space, kitchen and bathrooms were great
