Guest Reviews
- Malcolm (10/5): - Little confusion with the pin code
- Nikki (8/5): Great house for group of friends (up to 3 couples) but don't forget to pack your own toilet paper. - The house is great, especially for 6 people. A really nice location on the river. But it's under resourced, e.g. kitchen wise not enough glasses and cups and general cooking utensils. There was only 2 half rolls of toilet paper provided in whole house, not paper towel, one dishwasher tab etc. It seemed a bit stingy.
- Aynsley (9/5): Superb -
- Roger (8/5): Character house on the Granite Belt. - Character house, well set up for family group on the river near the centre of town. Technical problems with internet and dish washer. Clean to a basic level. Heating inadequate.
- Janette (8/5): Very good - No fire starters to light the fire, also not enough wood, that should be complimentary
Had to re-boot the modem several times to get the internet working.
Other than the small things above, it was a great place to stay.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dannielle (9/5): Superb - This was a lovely house to spend the weekend in. It was well furnished to make a cozy retreat. Located within walking distance to the centre of town and walking paths along the beautiful river, it made it super easy to get our morning coffee. Would definitely rebook this house. Could have had a bit more firewood.
- Susie (5/5): This lovely old home should be filled with lots of attention to detail and comfort..falls way short of how it looks in p - Close to township Completely OVERPRICED for 2 people ..!!
Dirty piece of soap left in bathroom, not a new roll of toilet paper…left over toilet paper roll..almost non existent, no dinner plates until we contacted owner, candles in glass jars burnt to nothing, barely enough wood for first fire, 2 click operated fire starters both NON operational..LOCKED shed in back garden FULL of wood..could have been a LOT more generous with their wood offering!
EMPTY bottle of washing liquid in laundry.. piece of steel wool stuffed into skirting board?? Obviously a rat deterrent..
Side lamps in bedrooms .. on one side couldn’t be plugged in…in both our rooms..no power point..although extension cord all the way under the bed MIGHT have been accessible.. garden in front of house in desperate need of maintenance…
Overall need to rethink their presentation of what could be a wonderful old Queenslander style home..
I used to own my own accommodation in the Hunter Valley so am used to analysing what makes for a great experience in an air BnB..in this case MORE is better!! Attention to detail is imperative when you are asking over $500/night..
- Debra (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (7/5): Good -
- Sophie (9/5): Excellent place to stay with small group of people near town. - Great location near town & backs onto beautiful creek.
Lovely open fire place with heating in all rooms which was much appreciated. No bins in bathrooms
