• Jelena (9/5): - Die Lage ist perfekt. Es war sehr ruhig in meinem Zimmer. Die Matratze ist auch bequem. Schlüsselübergabe war unkompliziert. Kommunikation war schnell und klar. Ich habe auch das Check-in 1 Stunde früher bekommen. Alles top!

• Jo (2/5): nie wieder - Lautstärke!! Wohnung liegt an einer der befahrensten Kreuzungen in St. Gallen. Selbst mit geschlossenen Fenstern den ganzen Tag, auch Nachts, starker Lärm.

• Fabian_DE (2/5): Absolut nicht zu empfehlen - Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr gut. Schon beim Betreten des Zimmers ist uns aufgefallen, dass es stark nach Rauch riecht. Auch eine der Jalousien zum Abdunkeln des Zimmers war so sehr beschädigt, dass man sie nicht nutzen konnte, die Kurbelstange war entfernt. Wir haben Kontakt mit der Unterkunft aufgenommen, die sich anfangs auch sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich zeigte. Da es schon Recht spät war, wollte man das Anliegen am nächsten Tag klären und sich wieder bei uns melden, ob ein anderes Zimmer zur Verfügung steht. Jedoch haben wir keine Nachricht mehr erhalten, auf Nachfragen unsererseits wurde nicht reagiert. Zudem war das Zimmer sehr heiß und die Klimaanlage hat nicht funktioniert.

• Bianca (5/5): Für den Preis ok. - Für den Preis ok. Das Zimmer ist dunkel, immerhin zum Innenhof, nicht zur Hauptstrasse. Es ist hellhörig und leider macht es keinen hygienischen Eindruck. Die Wände sind dreckig. Es hat einen muffigen Geruch in der Wohnung. Teebeutel liegen offen in einem Filzkorb. Die Teelöffel waren nicht sauber. Es waren leider fremde Haare auf dem weissen Bettlaken und im Bad. Die dunklen Textilien (Deko Kissen, Tagesdecke, Teppich) geben einem leider noch mehr das Gefühl, dass es nicht so hygienisch ist. Aber vielleicht darf man für den Preis nicht so viel erwarten.

• Mohammed Saeed M (8/5): Excellent place. Would choose to stay there next time I visit St Gallen. - Location was great. Located near my conference center (the Olma Massen) and the downtown area. Nothing of common significance was more than 10 minutes of walking. The smell of marijuana (weed) coming from another room somewhere in the property was the only annoying part. But I don’t think this property is at fault.

Wir haben klare und deutliche Instruktionen erhalten, wie wir in die Wohnung kommen und es war jederzeit jemand erreichbar, der innerhalb kürzester Zeit allfällige Fragen beantworten konnte. Das Bett ist ein bisschen schmal, ansonsten hat alles gepasst.

Der Geruch von der Pizzeria, der Lärm, der im Zimmer durch die Lüftung entstand, und der Parkplatz mit hohen Kosten. Wegen des Lärms von der Lüftung konnte man kein Auge zudrücken und nicht schlafen!

• Gabriela (5/5): Praktische Location - Umgang mit dem Zugang nicht vertrauensfördernd - Unterkunft ist zentral gelegen und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Die Zimmer waren sauber und gepflegt. Die Kontaktperson war freundlich und hat sich auch entschuldigt (s. unten). Bei unserer Ankunft waren alle Schlüsselsafes offen. Bei einem der von uns reservierten Zimmer fehlte der Schlüssel. Die Kontaktperson hat uns auf unseren Anruf hin erklärt, dass eine neue Reinigungskraft "am Werk" sei und sich noch nicht so auskenne. Da wir nicht eine halbe Stunde auf den Schlüssel warten konnten, haben wir diesen dann um 23.00 Uhr bei unserer Rückkehr im Safe gefunden und konnten auch das 2. Zimmer benutzen.

• Julia (1/5): Leider an diesem Tag nicht bewohnbar gewesen.... - Theoretisch ist das Zimmer zentral gelegen. Großer Nachteil - das mir zugeteilte Zimmer war direkt auf eine stark befahrene Kreuzung ausgerichtet. Wenn die Fenster verschlossen bleiben, könnte man sicherlich eine Nacht dort verbringen. Das war bei mir aufgrund von Gestank und Hitze nicht möglich. Das Zimmer war durch Gestank nicht bewohnbar. Ein Kontakt zu einem Mitarbeiter war nicht möglich, sodaß ich den Sachverhalt auch nicht klären konnte und letztendlich nicht dort übernachtet habe.
• Michelle (6/5): Ganz nice, aber zu viele Minuspunkte - Dass es sehr nah am Zentrum liegt, gefiel mir sehr. Die moderne Einrichtungs sah schick aus. Leider ein Minuspunkt war unter anderem das Bett bzw. die zu harte Matratze. Es befanden sich keine Vorhänge am Fenster, sodass man immer für einen Sichtschutz das Außenrollo runterleiern musste, was zu einer Einschränkung beim Lüften und der Lichtverhältnisse führte. Der stehende Ventilator war selbst auf niedrigster Stufe viel zu laut. Er musste aber eingeschalten werden, weil es sonst im Sommer sehr unangenehm warm im Zimmer ist. Es gibt leider keine Klimaanlage. Ein weiterer Minuspunkt ist die viel zu kleine Dusche und der dazugehörige Duschvorhang. Ein Duschvorhang ist nur für eine hohe Badewanne sinnvoll und nicht für ein fast ebenerdige Duschwanne. Wasser im ganzen Bad. Hier und da könnte man kleinere Dinge fest anschrauben oder reparieren.

It would be better to have shower screens than the curtain situation where water inevitably spills on the floor. The coffee machine was broken.

• Neil (9/5): Pleasant apartment - Location near town centre. Room was a bit warm but had a fan
• Katie (8/5): Clean apartment in an excellent location. - The location and cleanliness of the property was excellent. The coffee machine was also a nice touch. The staff were very well organised. The key safe was simple to access and the communication from staff was very good. The bed was short - for reference I’m 5ft5 and my feet were very close to the edge so I had to sleep with my head weirdly close to the headboard. It was also hot - the air con machine was positioned around the corner away from the bed so we unfortunately, couldn’t feel any benefit.

There was a terrible smell in the bathroom coming from the ventilation every time it was generated (a couple of minutes after bathroom lights are turned on). The smell would quickly move into the room so it was pretty unbearable to stay in. Only solution was to not turn on the bathroom light. The response from the hotel was quick when I wrote to them but no action was taken during my stay. I hope they fixed it afterwards as I realized later that other customers had mentioned this issue on past reviews.

There is a bar next to the building, every night (incl. weekdays) there was loud music at least until midnight (Saturday longer).

• Payam (8/5): Best value for a stay in Sankt Gallen. - It was wonderful to have a shared kitchen. Given how expensive Swiss restaurants are, it was a huge benefit to be able to use the very well equipped kitchen. The location was excellent. The apartments are in the heart of the city, two bus stops from the train station, walking access to trams and buses, and walking access to all of the landmarks in the city, all bars, restaurants and shopping. No closet or cabinet for storage of luggage and clothes.

• Mikaela (4/5): I wouldn’t stay here again because of the loud music, lack of aircon (and for the price we paid, surely they could have - Clean and secure. We were awake all night because we could hear the music thumping through our pillow from the nightclub open on Friday and Saturday night (which is when we stayed). We also went to the wrong ‘Inn Joy’ hotel because Google maps shows a different address. It was confusing. The only way I could communicate to staff was through booking.com which was hard to do without data on my phone and my SIM card wasn’t able to call. No one sent check in details with the key box code before I arrived, so I had to try and find wifi to contact them. I think there could be an easier way to communicate to guests and reduce stress this way. The ‘cool fan’ they had in the room was not cooling at all- it was old and didn’t cool the room.
