Guest Reviews
- Ka Leung (10/5): - very beautiful view from the balconies, friendly hosts, large clean premises, and comfortable bed.
- Olga (10/5): - The beautifull chalet made our two night stay exceptionally comfortable, especially with its spotless rooms and a fully equipped kitchen where we enjoyed cooking both supper and breakfast. The surrounding area was perfect for winter hikes, offering peaceful trails and truly impressive natural scenery. It was an ideal place to rest and recharge
- shinji (10/5): - The owner was super nice even before our stay.
She gave us a lot of good advice Just the steps to the top was a bit narrow, but we loved the view
- Hadley (10/5): Exceeded all our expectations. Already plotting our return. Chalet Talblick forever in our hearts - Everything was magical, a real piece of paradise. The chalet was perfectly appointed and so comfortable. It was in the perfect location with spectacular views, close enough to the train station, shops and restaurants but just outside the main buzz of the town. We had everything we could have wanted and more. Our hosts Rebecca and Will were amazing, helpful and so generous. Just perfect for our two week stay in Wengen. Highly recommend, we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else except at Chalet Talblick Leaving

- Patricia (10/5): Great, special place to stay in Wengen! - This was my favorite accomodation in our over 2 weeks of travel through Austria and Switzerland. The view from the 2 private balconies on the 2nd floor was incredible. We really appreciated the space, the washing machine (which worked perfectly), the comfort of the beds (2 twins located together so function as a king bed.) The owner met us on arrival and gave us the keys and a short overview of what was what in the apartment. Wengen is a lovely and quiet place where one can enjoy the beauty of the earth. I will never forget our stay in this beautiful city and would definitely rent this place again should we return. Thanks to Rebecca and Will for making us feel welcome. The tub was a problem for me. I had some back issues and getting myself into the large tub was a job I needed my husband to help with. Not impossible so we worked it out. It was raining (pouring) on the morning of our departure so we decided we should take a taxi to the train station, about 0.5 miles from Talblick Chalet. The gentleman (the only cab in Wengen) was kind and got us there but the charge was grossly too much at 25 CHF for 0.5 miles?? Needless to say I didnt add a tip. So I dont recommend a cab for getting around Wengen. No automobiles are in Wengen which is one thing that makes it special, but perhaps a little competition will make for more reasonable cab fare.
- Mucci (10/5): Chalet gem with incredible views! - This place was a romantic gem on our honeymoon tour! The view from the place is stunning, and the location is perfectly situated in the landscape, close enough to walk to the center, but far enough from the concentrated areas of hotels. It was a true charming chalet experience. The kitchen is fully equipped to make your own meals, which is what we did. Rebecca was so warm and inviting, and Fritzly the cat was a lovely bonus! I much preferred staying in Wengen and having the option to visit Lauterbrunnen, Maennlichen, Grindelwald etc. Very accessible to the hiking trails. It was peaceful and romantic. Definitely recommend! We don't have anything negative to say, honestly.
- Kamal42 (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, including the location of the chalet and views. For the first in Europe, stay in the chalet felt like home from home. Overall experience was much better than I expected. We have enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the trains after we returned in the evening. Rebecca was the perfect host, and she has provided everything we need during our stay. It was one of the best stays ever. Thank you, Rebecca 😊 N/a

- James (10/5): Would love to go back - Excellent location is an absolutely lovely town. We had an exceptional meal very nearby.
Great access to the mountains.
- Kelly (10/5): This roomy apartment near the city center offers a friendly and knowledgeable host, and a private space to rest and refu - Rebecca was a lovely host, providing excellent advice and local knowledge. The apartment was beyond our expectations in size, comfort and affordability. The sleeping area was comfortable and beds were an amazing treat after our long day hiking. Several great bonuses were a large sitting room, 2 private balconies, a fully stocked kitchen and roomy bath area. We had plenty of space to spread out, and Rebecca provided us with info about the area, and privacy to enjoy the space on our own. This was our most favorite overnight in the Bernese Oberland. Tip: We shopped at the Coop market near the train station and were able to enjoy yummy and affordable meals at the apartment. This is a wonderful apartment in a beautiful village- Highly recommend!!!
- Julia (10/5): great value, very clean, lovely hosts - amazing value with lovely hosts! full kitchen stocked with basic supplies for cooking and snacking. the bed was very comfortable. the views were fantastic with two covered balconies to watch the rain from and have a cup of tea. superb amount of space for two people. overall would 1000% go back and book this apartment again. the only thing to be aware of is that you must sit in the bathtub to take a shower as it is located on the top floor of a house with a slanted roof, which may be a problem for some people. we were totally fine with it.
