Guest Reviews
- Emily (9/5): Peaceful stay for a large group - Our group had a wonderful stay in Bellingen. The host Cass was lovely and super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s only an 8-minute drive into town where there’s a handful of decent food options and shops to explore. The accommodation itself is in a quiet, secluded spot surrounded by lush greenery. It’s a little bit tired and worn but the beds are comfy and it made for a super relaxing stay for our group (which included a dog). We tried to walk down the bush track to the creek but it was too overgrown and we encountered leeches. If you’re looking for a gorgeous natural swimming spot, it’s worth driving ~12 minutes to check out the Never Never River in The Promised Land (Angel Gabriel Capararo Reserve on Google Maps).
- Semaan (3/5): - Loved the location and the host was lovely and kind. I didn't like the musky smell inside the house, the mould on the furniture and the damp furniture as well. Also didn't like that we weren't able to use the pool because of how dirty it was.
We also didn't like that we paid for a full house for 5 of us and were only able to use half of it due to the mould.
- Charlotte (10/5): Perfect weekend away - It was so restful and relaxing. Was the perfect weekend to spend time with family, we enjoyed the rainforest walk, full kitchen with large oven to make a gorgeous family dinner and then relaxed by the fireplace. We will definitely be back! No negatives, thank you for having us
- Alison (8/5): Beautiful location. Relaxing. Comfortable - not applicable maintenance required
Pool was not clean enough to use

- Rebecca (3/5): A let down for the price paid, no screens with mosquitoes and water damage with mould growth - The host was nice and helpful, easy to get in contact with and friendly. Extra towels for swimming was great. Location was quiet and pretty which is always good. The place is old and does need upgrading to make it nicer to match the price we paid. Signage on the stairs to parents retreat should warn people about how narrow & slippery they are, very dangerous. The place smelt of mould due to water damage and the parents retreat was horrible as the intensity of the mould smell was from the downstairs area. Having no screens on any windows was terrible as couldn't open it up to air out due to all the mosquitoes. No air con downstairs made it very hot and stuffy, the fans weren't enough. No access to the river at all due to overgrowth and the pool was not clean just too much chlorine added so it was cloudly and dirty. For $800 per night we did expect it to represent the pictures online correctly and have full access to areas outlined on the internet and definitely not have no screens or mould issues in there.
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cathryn (7/5): I had a great stay for 2 nights. - The property was in a beautiful location and was presented beautifully, neat and clean. Enjoyed access to the pool. There were no fans in bedroom and no fly screens on windows so this made the bedroom very hot.
There were no instructions for how to operate TV .
The kitchen utensil were limited.
No art work on walls.
