After all, I received an email notification (saying there was a problem at work, asking me to cancel, and promising a refund), and then I was completely cut off from all contact.

After that, they completely stopped replying. They also stopped answering my calls. I urge Booking.com to carefully screen homeowners' information and not let these people harm others.

I booked this place a few weeks in advance. On the day of check-in, the “property” contacted me via WhatsApp and asked me to cancel the booking for their own reasons.
They did not cancel it themselves and did not issue a refund. Instead, they shifted all responsibility to the customer to avoid any consequences.

I strongly advise everyone to avoid booking this property as my experience has been extremely disappointing and feels like a scam. The positive reviews appear misleading based on what I went through.
I made a reservation on 4th February for a one-night stay on 7th February. On 6th February, the host contacted me via WhatsApp and informed me that the booking needed to be cancelled due to a water leakage issue. I agreed to the cancellation after they assured me that a full refund would be provided.
However, the booking was never properly cancelled by the host. Instead, it was marked as completed even though I did not stay at the property, and as of 17th February, I still have not received my refund.
I have called the host more than 50 times, sent multiple messages, and even followed up repeatedly, but I have received absolutely no response. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.
I have also tried contacting Booking.com through both phone and email, but I have not received any response so far.
Please be extremely careful when considering this property. Based on my experience, they may cancel at the last minute, stop responding, and fail to refund your payment.

Instead, the host shifted the blame and claimed that I was the one who cancelled, even though the cancellation was initiated by them. ⭐️ Extremely Disappointing & Unreliable Experience – Please Beware
I had fully confirmed and paid for this booking well in advance. However, on the actual check-in day, the host cancelled my reservation at the very last minute, claiming there were water leakage and electricity issues.
This caused serious stress and inconvenience, as my family had already arrived and urgently needed accommodation. Problems like this should have been checked and resolved earlier, not discovered on the day of check-in.
What made the situation worse is the lack of responsibility afterward. I immediately reported this issue to Booking.com customer service and followed up with 3–4 different customer service agents, yet until now there has been no clear update or resolution. Communication has been very poor.
The host kept shifting the blame onto me, even though the host was the one who cancelled and requested the refund. I have full evidence showing that I was not at fault. Despite this, the host has still not approved my refund, which amounts to almost RM500++ — not a small amount.
As a guest, I was left:
• Without accommodation
• Without access to my money
• Forced to urgently find another place on the same day
This experience feels very unfair and concerning. I strongly advise future guests to be cautious with this host, especially regarding last-minute cancellations and refund issues.

- DAHLIA (2/5): NOT WORTH MY MONEY - it’s not look like the photos, clean and look new, the house we got, look old and not really clean, also we got problem with parking, and the owner of the house didn’t give proper instructions, we came with 2 cars but only 1 car can get in, and for other car need to pay rm20 per night. For checkout also, we wanted to checkout at 12, but need to pay rm30 for extra hour, lol and deposit also rm200, if you want another access card need to pay deposit another rm200, this will be my first and last to stay here 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

I was unable to check-in and i was unable to cancel as well.
Until now I don't get any refund and neither do I get any place to stay.
At the end i have to do other booking and I'm still waiting for a response on this issue from booking.com and property. Both parties are so careless.
It's best to stick with airbnb, a much better option than this headache app.
If my issue is not resolved nicely, it will be my last interaction with booking.com

The nearby coffee shop (Coff by Che) also very delicious and walkable just around 5-7 minutes walk The cleanliness of the unit should be taking care of. I can saw some of the grouting was too bad. The unit itself needs preventive maintenance from the owners. The second bathroom very smelly. Some of the items in the unit found broken i did prompted to the agent afraid it will charged to us. The second bed in master bedroom was broken, the hanging rack also broken. The linens itself need a special treatment to maintain the colours. Some of the linens discovered with yellowish stained unsure if they notice it or not. The dustbin in the kitchen also not washed it properly.

I was super duper angry, because of he ignore me, and did not inform me earlier. And then he not reply me again, and i called booking.com about my booking status. I need to wait about 2 hours to get new property. So lesson learn, this is first and last to rent with this owner. Very disappointed.

Poor customer service
House is full of cockroaches and person keeps coming with bottle of spray when informed.
Washing machine is not operational and 3 days of my stay not fixed.
No housekeeping at all.
No person to explain the rules and the guidance when leting you in.
Overall worst stay and would not refer to any one, i would have given zero if that was part of scoring.

- Michal (3/5): Poor - Apartment is nice,spacious, just the conditions around this are suspicious. 1. Location is different from what you see on booking. About 12min car rad east from what booking states.
2. Deposit needed 200 RM, not sure for what, as afterward, they don't check the apartment.
3. Instructions on whatsup different from what the person you meet tells you.
4. Checkout time states 11 to 12,however on the checkout day, they message you, that you need to leave at 11.

-The cleanliness truly SUCKS. There is no big cockroaches but a lot of small and middle cockroaches in EVERYWHERE. The floor looks fine, but the carpet apparently didnt been cleaned. The sheet is not cleaned completely as well
-The light in the bathroom is broken, even have to use the torchlight. One of the air con is frozen inside, literally there are ices and when we switched off and it started melting, then the water kept dropìng. Just annoying.
-TV is just a decoration, NO SIGNAL.

NOTHING - HORRIBLE The address is wrong ON PURPOSE When 2 MEN trespassing into the appartment at 2 am, with their owns keys, very agresive....OMG! The most amazing SCARY & SURREAL. They asked in a very intense way about my reservation, about who had gave me the keys. the apparment shall be empty... and other psycho craziness.
