Guest Reviews
- María (8/5): Great staff - Location Rooms
- Filippo (7/5): -
- Barbara Cheryl (8/5): Very peaceful - we loved the spa pools and was spotlessly clean. - Beautiful / clean No shuttle available to go off property or even to a bus stop if you don’t have car. No availability to purchase basic items so you don’t have to purchase both lunch and dinner at restaurant or any facility like small fridge in room or shared area.

- aeb (3/5): - Proximity to airport Old very uncomfortable rooms and bathrooms. Grounds of hotel not lit when dark. Half the breakfast food gone after 2 groups left. Less food left, things were not warm even though there was 1 hr left until closing.
- Fiona (7/5): -
- Robin (7/5): - Nice
A descricao sugeria algo melhor. - Localizacao, comida razoavelmente bem preparada. Toda a estrutura esta decadente, exigindo investimento, para sua renovação, cafe da manha deprimente, quando servido no sistema bandejao. Area de spa e piscinas adjacentes sofrivel. Nao ha nenhuma sala/ area de convivencia.

- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Patty (10/5): Great stay! - This is a lovely property with a beautiful pool, swim-up bar, thermal pools and a river for safe swimming. The staff was kind and helpful, the room was very comfortable with good A/C. Food was very good as well and served in attractive dining areas. We didn’t participate in any of the activities offered, but those who said they were very fun.
- Ljudmila (9/5): Superb - Enjoyed every minute at this hotel. It’s located in the garden with squirrels, bats and a variety of birds. There’s a nice pool, spa with hot springs, volcanic mud and river. Breakfast was good, but food at the restaurant was bland. Rooms could do with refurbishing.
- Colleen (9/5): Perfect family get away - Beautiful grounds! Would be such a great destination for families what with the pool, natural hot tubs, shallow river tubing
The cottages are very nice, clean and comfy. Restaurant is excellent. Staff is very nice and friendly The a/c really didn’t cool the cottage off to get a great nights sleep. Would have been helpful to have it on and working prior to our arrival. Also a golf cart or equivalent to shuttle luggage from check in to accommodation would be recommended as some places are a bit of a trek
- Susan (8/5): Very good - Cabins, hot soaks, volcanic mud, great staff, quiet
- Susan (8/5): Very good - Great first night in Costa Rica for our kids. Food was ok but not exceptional for the price. They get lots of groups.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - The location is very scenic and rural. So it's very peaceful and quiet. The WiFi was very good. The room was rustic but it fit the setting since it's a Lodge in a park like surrounding. There were two towels which is standard but that's not always the case. The shower was hot but took some adjustment and time to get it just right. The bed was very comfortable. I wish there were more quality pillows. The room is very large and so is the bathroom. The buffet dinner was very good and the staff was super friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Highlight of the stay. Especially the staff. Thanks for your hospitality! The AC was weak so sleeping was a challenge. There was no TV but it s a Lodge so I guess that' should be expected. I wish there were night stands next to the bed. Beware of the ants and resident bathroom baby frog. Otherwise a quant place to relax after American airlines cancelled my flight and left me stranded to fend for myself.
- Rick (7/5): Good - Beautiful grounds close to Liberia. Dated accommodations.
- Manchester (8/5): Very good -
- Starr (8/5): Very good - Next to the river and has warm pools.
- Juliana (8/5): I would definitely stay again because the cabanas/room, the pool and the food was great! - The room was very comfortable and clean and spacious. Beautifully decorated with a minimalist approach. The bed was comfortable as well. I loved the pool and the food was wonderful at the pool. The breakfast was good too. There was no refrigerator or ice buckets available to keep my drink drinks cold. The resort is very spread out so there’s a lot of walking. The pool and spa open at nine, which I think is kind of late. It was very difficult and expensive for me to find my own transportation to the airport. The front desk is not helpful in that at all. The front desk does not open until 630 am and I needed transportation at six to get to the airport for an international flight. I ended up paying way more money than I should have!!!
- Susan (7/5): Good - We liked when they offered to cook breakfast individually because certain foods were not hot enough like eggs. The location is very nice lookout over the river. We enjoyed the staff communication, and services at the restaurant and whitewater rafting. Our cabin was clean and staff kept it clean. We liked location close to airport and a National Park 18k away to hike. I think there was enough rooms available to space people out amount the cabins as the walls were thin in our threesome lodge area. Place was clean. Certain facilities are needing painting in hot tubs, and aged look. Could use brighter lighting in cabins!
- Cecelia (9/5): Would love to have a week here! Lots of areas to explore and learn about - Unique ecolodge feel. Interesting grounds and facilities. Friendly staff, good food Some confusion about which of 2 restaurants were serving meals
- Arlenec (7/5): Good - Spa pools, pool, bar, restaurant, comfy bed room size Only enough coffee in room for one tiny cup. Breakfast too early.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Staff very hard working and it shows around the grounds and in the rooms.
Wildlife all around.
Excellent activities. Nothing.
- Katie (8/5): We enjoyed staying here. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, beautiful location, very nice. - Breakfast was delicious. Location was super convenient. The activities were really fun. Although it was clean, the bathroom had a bad smell
- Josie (9/5): Superb -
- Frank (6/5): ok in a pinch due to canceled flight - very good breafast nice staff to rustic for out taste
- Hayley (7/5): Good -
- Ashley (9/5): Superb -
- Dorian (1/5): Robbery - we were robbed in our room when we were gone for 10 minutes. result: passports and jewelries stolen. the manager did his best to help us. our stay in Costa Rica was totally ruined by this. the complex is isolated and more security/camera are necessary as well as a safe in each room. We left as soon as we could, we were not feeling safe
- Nehal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cory (6/5): Dated but doable for 1 night - The property is surrounded by alot of greenery and provides a peaceful experience. There is alot to do right on the property. The swimming pool was nice and eas our favorite part of the resort. For a room at that cost $125 usd, I would expect it to be nicer. The room was very dark and outdated. Since everything was old, you couldn't tell if the room wasn't properly clean or just old. They have orange polyester sheets on the bed, and because they are dark and wrinkled, you can't tell if they are clean. (Never stayed at a hotel with orange linens). The AC was so loud we couldn't sleep, so we had to turn it off and had to just be hot. Lastly, the breakfast wasn't too great. The rice was hard and not edible. Oh, and the grounds have the potential to be absolutely beautiful, however the landscaping was not maintained.
- Dewahl (9/5): Superb -
- Wanda (8/5): Relaxing place to rest and recharge! - It was a relaxing place for us to stay, close to Liberia after a long travel day. Staff very friendly, quiet area and wonderful to be close to nature.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chad (9/5): Superb -
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful grounds and relaxing atmosphere. Br sure to enjoy the property
- Vaughan (9/5): Great stay with activities to do. - Lots to do there, tubing, climbing, hot springs. Good value for money- cheaper version than the big hacienda up the road, you can also access their tours. Pool bar swim up. Comfy beds.
