• Chaarlem (8/5): Calm and relax, and your dog can stay too :) - The cottage had everything I would expect, all the details were well thought. Communication with the hosts was super smooth and they replied to all our questions in a timely manner. The location has lots of privacy and an enclosed backyard where our dog could run freely and safe. It was a rainy, cold weekend, but we were warm inside thanks to the pellet stove. The cottage is part of a bungalow park, and there are more cottages around. You access that park with the code that the hosts provide. We arrived at night, and at first it was not easy to find the specific cottage as there are no "street names", but the map was helpful. At night, there's not much light outside, so if you are coming with a dog, it's better to put some lights on their collar for better visibility. Inside this park there's a lake and it's nice to walk around it. Outside the park there are supermarkets and restaurants, so you can really relax without having to drive a lot. You need to bring your towels and bed sheets, but this is mentioned upfront. The matrasses were a bit soft to my taste, but that's a personal preference. We slept very well, zero noise from the outside.
