Guest Reviews
- Jess (7/5): - Excellent location, and the host was very generous, providing eggs, bacon, and local wine for us to enjoy. -
- Lyndall (10/5): Absolutely lovely, us girls had a fabulous time. Thanks again❤️ - Lovely, clean house, convenient to downtown, plenty of room. On a quiet street. Within walking distance to RSL also. We loved our stay, didn’t expect to have food in the fridge & complementary wine. Everything thing was supplied shampoo/conditioner, shower gel, soap & plenty of towels. It was amazing, highly recommend to anybody wanting to stay in Stanthorpe. Thank you Margaret A+ 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nothing

- Marc (10/5): - Nice relaxed feel, and very clean.
- Anne (10/5): We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family. - We were pleasantly surprised by bacon and eggs in the refridgerator ready for us to cook up. There was also a generous supply of milk and tea and coffee. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking implements. The property had a beautiful homely and cosy feel. We spent a lot of time gathered around the large outdoor table on the back deck laughing and chatting. It was within walking distance to shops, local pool and the RSL Club which had great food, friendly staff and excellent prices.

- janine (10/5): Home away from Home - Highly recommend. - Beautiful, cosy cottage with absolutely everything we needed for our ladies long weekend - plenty of parking at the back for 4 vehicles, fitted 5 ladies comfortably with 4 bedroom & 2 bathrooms. Beds & house were cosy even with very chilly weather. 🥶
Bonus - our host had supplied our fridge with bacon & eggs, milk & bottles of local wine for our stay- so thoughtful.🤗
The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend.
Bathrooms had heaters, all rooms heated + electric blankets & big doonas, plenty of blankets 👌 N/A

- Amanda (10/5): Absolutely lovely - Beautiful cottage and accurate description and pictures on here! Love the back deck, comfy beds and gorgeous fireplace!
- Peter (10/5): Beautiful cosy cottage - What a beautiful, cosy cottage. We loved everything about the place, especially the fire places. Margaret and Michael have done a great job making sure the house is clean and well equipped with everything you need. We would 100% stay here again.
- Rachael (9/5): Great location & lovely host - Rosella's was in a great location, with an easy walk to the main street of Stanthorpe. It was lovely to have some breakfast supplies and we used those for the first morning. The fire was lovely and it was great to have a well stocked kitchen. House was very clean and the house was able to fit 8 of us around the table & in the lounge room. We could have done with a bit more firewood but that was easily purchased from the local service station. The water pressure wasn't great but the bathrooms were clean & the towels lovely and soft.
- Craig (10/5): Comfortable pleasant stay for a group of friends or family. - Well equipped property conveniently close to the main part of town. Very comfortable, heaters in every room including the bathrooms and aircon for summer. A nice fireplace to add to the ambiance. Every thing was clean and well looked after. Plenty of parking at the rear of the property and on the street.
- Kerryn (9/5): A great place to stay with friends in Stanthorpe. - Very welcoming, warm and comfortable. The cottage had everything we needed and easily accommodated 6 people with plenty of space. We enjoyed the location and character of this property and would recommend it to visitors to Stanthorpe.
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): We would all go back! - To arrive and find fresh milk in fridge for a cuppa after 4 hour drive was very nice and to find bacon and eggs for breakfast plus wine for our dinner. The home was so well stocked with everything you needed in the kitchen May be more bath towels would have been nice and more and better quality tea towels.
- Malcolm (9/5): Pleasant stay in one of our favourite towns. The host is great to deal with. - Lovely bacon and eggs. Much appreciated. The location is central to everything in a quiet neighbourhood/town and within walking distance to main street, shops, medical, police etc and to Quart Pot creek. The garden is beautiful & we were treated to a family of Blue Fairy Wrens each day, as well as a Rosella. The furniture is excellent vintage quality and the kitchen is one of the best equipped I've visited. The outdoor deck is a great addition and comfortable. The host contacted me prior to visit to advise of some damage (which didn't affect us at all) and I appreciate this courtesy. Also we loved the Christmas decorations and lovely tree. A beautiful touch. The addition of insect screening and ceiling fans in the bedrooms would be useful on hot days. The living area is air conditioned but the Western facing bedrooms have a standing fan only. Stanny is a cold place but the screening and ceiling fans would be great for those hot days. Property not recommended for those with mobility issues due to steps and furniture placement.
- Sandra (8/5): Very enjoyable and comfortable stay. - Lovely to have bacon and eggs provided plus a couple of local wines. Very nice touch . Great locality. Maybe a barbecue to enjoy the outdoors.
- Lynette (10/5): Staying there 2yrs in a row is saying it all. We will be back next year. - Location is very close to everything. Walking distance to RSL. Bacon and eggs to start our stay and complementary bottle of wine is awesome. Nothing could have been better. Comfy beds and fireplace make it even more special. Visited the local market for some beautiful fresh produce.
- Joycelyn (10/5): Wonderful loved the atmosphere and decor of the house - The breakfast was unexpected and fantastic, the kitchen had everything we needed
The house had plenty of space and warm - weather was minus 4
Beds comfortable and very warm
Close to town easy to walk There was nothing we did not like
- Lynne (10/5): We loved the comfort and space and it was a great choice for a group stay. - Very comfortable and great location. A home away from home! Very minor- firewood pieces were very large and would have liked them split.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvette (10/5): Exceptional - This beautiful home away from home is just what we needed as a family. Time in the country air, with every comfort you could need. The fire, amenities, comfortable beds, location and gifts on arrival were warmly welcomed by all of us. Thankyou Margaret and Michael for your sweet hospitality and generosity. We will be back!
- Margo (9/5): Lovely comfy break. - We loved how homey it felt. Everything was provided. We couldn’t have asked for more. The complimentary items were a very nice touch. Not complaints just suggestions. We didn’t feel that we should have been responsible for putting the bins out to the street. Also after reading your warning regarding makeup on the white towels, we were all paranoid about getting some on them. Could we suggest having darker coloured towels instead. 🙂
- Sarah (10/5): A perfect house in Stanthorpe - Margaret was a perfect host, the spacious house was beautifully presented. With fresh eggs and bacon in the fridge.
The house is close to the centre of town. It was perfect.
- John (10/5): Overall a fantastic place to stay and relax. Would recommend to a small family. - The owners provided good instructions and the keys were easy to access. The cottage was centrally located and easy to get around Stanthorpe. Good value for money for a family. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of bulky Funiture around the cottage. The single beds a little dated and lumpy.
- Margot (8/5): Cute cottage with everything you need for a group or large family. - Lovely house that fit 8 of us very well. Many properties that have 4 bedrooms don’t have adequate lounge and dining seating for 8 people but this one did. Could do with the office being converted into another bathroom - needed when there’s 8 people. It’s wasted space.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margie (8/5): Very good - They left bacon and eggs to cook for the first day for breakfast along with milk which was a lovely surprise. Keys were easy to get and leave. Location was fantastic right in town No wifi but there was a modem, very strange
- Cathryn (9/5): Superb -
- Lynette (10/5): This property went above and beyond to provide a lovely experience for us. Will be back. - Was not expecting to open the fridge and have fresh bacon and eggs and milk to start us off. It was an awesome surprise. Also 2 bottles of local wine for us to enjoy. Everything was perfect.
- Jill (7/5): Beautifully presented cottage in the heart of Stanthorpe. - The cottage was very well presented. Very clean, fresh and had a homely feel. The breakfast pack was great. The wine was also a nice touch. The cottage is located a short walking distance to town. The 2 king size bedrooms are a great size. The back balcony is a beautiful spot particularly in the winter. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need in a kitchen. It was nice to have a dining room table. Margaret (the owner) was very pleasant to deal with. Quick to respond to any questions. Nothing was too much trouble. The double bedroom was a bit small. The front bedroom with the two single beds is very small. If there are 8 people I think an extra bathroom would be great.
- Robert (10/5): We had a wonderful stay, & would recommend your lovely cottage to everyone - Bacon and eggs were a great surprise, also the wine was delicious
- Garry (9/5): Superb - Was very cozy & comfortable and was well appointed.
Walking distance to the town centre.
The cottage had all the amenities.
Really enjoyed the fireplace, reverse cycle AC and electric blankets.
Also that it could accomodate for up to 8 persons. Na
- Ruth (3/5): overpriced dirty and unclean. - convenient location Overpriced, dirty and unclean - the previous guest’s crumbs were on the stained table runner, the carpets and lounge floor rug were unvacuumed and covered in dried grass, there were hairs on the sheets, pubic hairs on the bathroom floor (so revolting) and dirty benches. The owner refunded the cleaning fee but only when they raised a partial refund, but this was a token amount considering our loss of enjoyment and exposure to other guests waste.
- Anonymous (10/5): The owners from start to finish were extremely accommodating and helpful. Such a beautiful and fabulous couple! We will - The cottage was beautiful and anything you needed is provided. nothing
- Sophie (10/5): Stayed with family and fur babies. Close to everything and very comfortable. Thank you Margaret and Michael. - This property has everything you could possibly need. maybe could have more air conditioners
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
