Several nice restaurants are within walking distance of the property, so there’s no need to stay in the crowded town centre. 10/10. Nothing.

• Kingfisher (9/5): - This is a lovely house in a quiet location. The house was clean with almost new utensils, plates etc. It has a small garden at the front with table, chairs and a hot tub. The parking is also in the front garden but suitable for a small car. There is A/C in the bedrooms which was lovely. The sliding front door did not feel safe and there was misalignment so closing it was a bit difficult but upon mentioning this to the owner he responded very promptly and hopefully this has now been rectified. It would be nice to have a fan in the living area as there is no A/C in this area. There is only one portable hob so cooking for four people would be a bit challenging.

• Christine (10/5): Really a nice stay in La Fortuna and the guest house. - Was a lovely property, comfortable beds, well equipped, the owner was very friendly and helpful. A good area for walking to local restaurants and shops. We moved out some chairs for the outdoor space but it would have been nice a more comfortable space outside.

• Franco (10/5): Great location and facility with a really fair price! - The house is new and made with quality resources. The shower is good and the hot tub is a great way to end the day. It's easy to make your own meals in the kitchen, with all the necessary supplies. The street is nice and quiet, away from the downtown movement but still close and easily accessible. It's best to have a car in La Fortuna. We highly recommend the Tiquicia restaurant which is close by because of their nice typical food and cheap prices. Also, the Mundo Aventura Arenal is accessible by foot and has great fun activities. Don't miss the waterfall which is simply amazing. We felt a lack of a dish towel and wine glasses, but we didn't ask the host for those and it didn't negatively impact our stay anyway.
• Katrin (10/5): Exceptional - This was our favorite stay during our trip through Costa Rica. The house offers everything you need and is clean and new. The best part was an inflatable whirlpool which was great to cool off after a long day of trails around la fortuna.

Walking distance to Arenal Mundo Aventura and swimming hole. Felt very safe and secure at all times. Diego was an excellent host. I would highly recommend staying here. Nothing - met our expectations. Great value for the service.

• Tom (10/5): Great stay in La Fortuna! - This cozy house was great for a two night stay for the three of us. It is not large, but has everything you will need. Super clean, easy access to town, AC works great. Diego is super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. For the price you won't find a better option in La Fortuna. Really nothing we didn't like. It's not a big place, but again for three people only staying two nights, it had everything we needed.

• Dorothy (8/5): Very comfy property with a wonderful host - Very clean, lovely host, very willing to help. Kitchen equipped, great TV, wifi, comfy beds, love that the beds are doubles not king. Great A/C A tiny bit closer to town would have been easier for walking but it still worked; underpowered cooktop, took a long time to cook. No microwave (for reheating coffee)

• Neil (9/5): Comfortable, clean abode fitted out with practical mod cons - It was a brand new 2 bedroom small home which was well stocked for travellers who like to cook. Excellent array of cookware provided. Out of main area so quiet but near enough to everything if driving. The owner was a very nice, helpful gentleman. No sign out front to indicate casa Gamboa - only thing I would offer.
