- Lachlan (10/5): Great place for a weekend in Castlemaine! - Amazing homely house with very friendly homeowners. There is also a herd of Kangaroo that gather in an open space nearby which is fun. Short walk to town. Beautiful view.
- frank (8/5): - Great location.Lovely hosts.
- Skye (10/5): - Beautiful home with plenty of character and friendly, helpful hosts. I left an item behind and they posted it to me, which is so kind ♥️
- Pamela (9/5): A great visit to a beautiful historic town staying with friendly, hospitable hosts. - it is a lovely, quiet location and a beautiful house. The owners are friendly including Pinot the dog and I really enjoyed my stay.
- Jill (10/5): -

- Eternity Cathryn (8/5): - Beautiful serene area.
Large airy room. Tea & coffee making facilities. Felt intrusive of owners when using kitchen. Maybe a small fridge should be handy.
- Fozard (10/5): Lovely just couple. Very warm and welcoming. Neat and clean room. - Lovely just couple. Very warm and welcoming. Neat and clean room.
- Jeff (8/5): - No breakfast. Bed higher off floor.
- Tim (7/5): We were welcomed and felt comfortable. - Nice and quiet and great house archiecture
- Marilyne (8/5): Very enjoyable and met my needs as a tired working traveller - I left early for work. Lodge was not far to travel to work.
Room was inviting, silent and very comfortable.
Kettle for coffee / tea in room.
Large mirrow to check dress for the day.
Plugs for phn. Soft night light was welcomed. Nothing to tell. Room, tea / coffee hot shower met my needs.

- Max (1/5): - Terrible communication. To be told 30 minutes before check in time that we can't stay because of a double booking is unacceptable. When asked to contact us when they found alternative accommodation (which the provider and Booking.com are required to do) we got no contact and ended up having to organise ourselves instead of enjoying our wedding day.
- Jacob (9/5): Cozy room in a stylishly antique house - Cozy room in a stylishly antique house. Hosts are active bushwalkers, so are familiar with bushwalkers' needs. Room and bathroom were very clean and well-maintained. I ended up using the climate control for heat due to the chilly weatherm and it quickly made the room comfortable.
The two guest rooms are off a hallway that ends with the shared bathroom. The hosts occupy the other side of the house. Plastic rather than stainless steel water kettle. Could have used a bit more counter/table space to spread out my stuff. There is a little counter with a chair, so it is possible to work on a laptop if you move some stuff around.

- Lyn (6/5): Disappointing stay. - Good location. Requested two single beds Found it very difficult at 75
to crawl in and out of single bed so close to the floor, barely 18” off the floor, with my hip pain and right foot post surgery. Will post photo if I can manage it.
- Jeanette (8/5): - High ceilings, clean room, large window that I could open, lovely home and hosts
- Gemma (10/5): Perfect little spot to rest my head. - Stunning location and close to the main areas. Great hosts, I felt very welcome and comfortable.

- Carol (10/5): Warm friendly hosts, good facilities and easy access - Friendly hosts, good hosts, would highly recommend Party next door but settled eventually
- Sarah (10/5): Very comfortable, enjoyable stay - Spacious, pretty room with view onto back garden. Quiet house with welcoming owners who let guests use communal sitting room and kitchen. Would happily stay there any time I visit Castlemaine.
- Peter (6/5): Clean and a nice bed to sleep in. - The accommodation offered was very European style.
Host was polite and welcoming however all doors were closed giving a feeling of distance and the stated shared area also was closed off as the Host was showing us to our room.
A request to share some kitchen facilities was met with a hesitant yes and there was no TV, radio or tissues in the room.
- Karen (10/5): - The house is beautiful and conveniently located close to town. Irma and Oliver were so lovely to pick us up from the train station and also drive us to the mill market and show us all the extras the town has to offer. We really appreciate the personal attention you gave us.
- anne (10/5): Lovely stay Irma. Thankyou very much. I hope to return. - Lovely period home and decor. All fully renovated. Good facilities in the room: tea and coffee, hanging space for clothes, mirror etx. An electric blanket or heater / air-conditioning instructions would have been handy but it was fine really. I got there!
- Stephanie Plain (10/5): Excellent - It was a lovely stay. Really friendly welcoming owners, you feel at home. The room is very comfortable and looks out to the beautiful garden and bushland. Reccomend to anyone seeking a more homely, peaceful stay in Castlemaine.

- Phoebe (9/5): Superb -

- Sharon (8/5): Castlemaine charm - Good location - 15 min walk into town .

An easy walking distance to Castlemaine's eateries and other attractions.
- Taubman (10/5): Castlemain is a very sweet and artsy with great culture. The lodge has a very relaxed vibe with super friendly host. Rea - Country and city, modern but vintage.
- Patricia (10/5): A really delightful stay - Checkin was well organised. We really enjoyed our brief encounter with Irma, Oli and Pinot. It was a treat to stay in such a beautifully restored and immaculate period home…all the mod cons while preserving the authenticity of the original home. I found the attention to detail extraordinary. It is also blissfully quiet.

Irma, Oliver, and their little dog Pinot were so welcoming and friendly, I felt very relaxed in this lovely cottage.
Great location, walking distance to Castlemaine shops, and shared access to the kitchen to prepare meals and snacks if you wish.
I only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer.
I hope to return. I can't think of anything as it was perfect.
- Joanne (10/5): Enjoyable, friendly and homely - My host was very accommodating for a slightly earlier check-in which I needed for an event I was attending. My host kindly drove me into town (albeit just over 1 km) as I was dressed up for a wedding and the weather was quite warm. Was a lovely home, comfortable and clean. Was ideal for my stay over in Castlemaine N/A
- Louise (8/5): Super. - The room was large, very clean , freshly renovated and comfortable. I enjoyed the personalized service/ welcome by Irma and would stay here again. Also enjoyed to view of the bush out the window. Nothing.

Enjoyed the coffee making facilities in the room
as well as a bottle of water and a glass.
Also, there was a small air conditioner which was fantastic,
as it was very humid the night I was there.
- Roman (9/5): Superb -
- Dishington (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good very quiet and close to town.
It was very clean and bathroom was a good size Should have standard bed frames not trundle ones. Very hard to get in and out of for older people. Need better pillows or extra ones to suit people’s requirements

Charming period home with so much character.

- Judith (10/5): Warm, friendly and inviting! - We very much enjoyed our week's stay at Lilydale Lodge. A beautiful and very comfortable home, it was delightfully warm and quiet, and our hosts and their dear little dog Pinot were just so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay at Lilydale Lodge next time we are in Castlemaine.
- Gillian (9/5): Superb - Comfortable warm and friendly I would like to return
It suited my travel arrangements
- Rodney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerry (9/5): Very pleasant stay, thanks. - Good location in a restored Federation house. Warm welcome from friendly hosts, Irma and Oscar.
- Kathryn (7/5): Good - Friendly hosts. Good location for me. Off street parking. comfortable bed. Fun and energetic small dog. I hadn't quite understood the 'shared' aspect: a private house with kitchen, dining and lounge shared with owners. 2 guest rooms with shared bathroom though there is an extra separate toilet. No mirror in the bedrooms so bathroom not available while other guest was using the bathroom mirror. Would best suit a small-family stay
- Brian (9/5): Charming, Comfortable and friendly, great facilities. - Very clean, old world charming spacious period home with all facilities. Cosy room. Comfortable beds. Welcoming hosts. Good parking. Would definitely stay again. Main rooms were a little cold but we did not spend any time in them. Only slept the night after attending a wedding.
- Denyse (9/5): Superb -
- Massimiliano (10/5): Exceptional - The house was beautiful and the beds were really comfy.
5 mins walk to the town centre, very accessible in a very quiet area, so relaxing!
Irma and Oliver are really kind and they have been so helpful with information about the area. And if you like dogs Pinot is adorable!
- Katie (3/5): The accomodation was not what we were led to believe from the advertising. - The property was a room in a private home, which was different from the advertisement of the accomodation which had led us to believe it was an entire home. This was so much of a shock for us and not what we were I terested in. I emailed the owner to let her know that it was not what we wanted and if it was possible to have some sort of refund and had no response. We then sought accommodation elsewhere.
- Peter (7/5): Charming bush property close to central Castlemaine - The house is located on the fringe of Castlemaine yet within easy walking distance. You can see kangaroos and listen to the birds which is a lovely experience. The variety of birds was truly exceptional. The bed was good. I think Urna has had trouble with the difference between Airbnb and Booking.com. In Airbnb, you stay with your hosts. In Booking.com you don't. It was a surprise to us that we did not have a bathroom that was just for us, and that we did not have private access. But, at the end of the day, that did not matter because the hosts were so nice.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tinamp (8/5): Very good - Lovely hosts, quiet location.
- Micheal (4/5): We probably wouldn’t stay there again, the place felt cold and bland. - No breakfast, location ok, premises looked good from the outside, host we very pleasant. Room was cold when we arrived, the heater could have been on to take the chill away, didn’t like the fact that you could see straight from the bathroom to the front door and you could see into the bathroom through the side glasses, very transparent, felt a bit uncomfortable with this this, they need some sort of blocking down the hallway, they never mentioned whether we had use of a living room, we felt like we had only the bedroom to stay in.
- Ilze (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sylvanna (9/5): Perfect and very comfortable - Location was great. Just needed a couple of days away to slow down. Perfect place to do just this.
- Judith (9/5): Superb -
