Guest Reviews
- Jeanne (10/5): - The hotel is within the fortress. It has a peaceful garden with a view on the palace. The room was cosy, spacious and with original stone walls. The breakfast was also very nice.

- Wiktor (10/5): Perfection - The location within the castle walls and just next to the palace is stunning. The hotel is beautifully decorated and had all the things we needed. The brekfast was one of the most delicious hotel breakfasts we've ever had - and it was so local!
- PaddyBe (9/5): -

- Afijun Brutus (9/5): Historic mountain palace retreat - Location and the whole vibe of the hotel. It's located inside the Shaki Khan Palace, surrounded by lush, green mountains. The hotel decor capture the essence of the trading caravan back in the days - unique to Sheki. Plus, there's a free parking inside the hotel itself, so that was convenient. The weird smell inside the toilet. It was probably coming from the shower drainage. We were slightly bothered by it. Nothing major.
- Matias (10/5): - Ubicación, edificio
- Ahmadova (1/5): -
- michal (7/5): Średni stosunek ceny do jakości - + świetna lokalizacja w centrum "twierdzy"
+ hotel i pokój są ładnie urządzone
+ darmowy parking

- Gulsaba (10/5): - The property is very comfortable with good, caring staff.
- Fiona (10/5): -
- Anna (10/5): Nothing short of amazing - This accommodation is truly exceptional, the location within the ancient city fortress, the historical building, the impressive design of the rooms and the mind-blowing hospitality of the team. We stayed four nights and didn't want to leave.
- Selim (10/5): - Very comfortable . Perfect location just next to khan's place. Staff very kind and friendly. Very good breakfast. Aga and the kitchen staff were amazing. Very highly recomnended. Noting.Everything was beyond our expectations.
- Katarzyna (10/5): - Bardzo przyjemny hotel, fajne i klimatyczne pokoje, czysto i schludnie. Super lokalizacja!
- Kimberly (7/5): Overall a comfortable stay but room for staff improvement - The room is nice and comfy, good shower and bathroom facilities. Coffee pod machine in room. Breakfast was excellent. We arrived because check in time and they kindly offered to let us leave our bags, but gave us the key already. Some hours later returned to find the room unlocked with bags inside. This also meant no one really gave us any check in explanation or details, although we saw the wifi password at reception. Then just assumed we could go for breakfast at 9 the next morning. The room listing also says there’s a fridge and entire kitchenette in the room- there was not.
When we checked out we both tried 3 different cards to pay and none worked on the reception device (we have used cards fine all over Azerbaijan) so then we only had some euro cash to pay and the staff there seemed quite annoyed trying to communicate the rate- we never understood what he was trying to say and then finally he waved us off.
Also the hotel is within old city walls so you cannot get dropped there with a taxi.

- Rafał (10/5): Przepiękne, gustowne i bajkowe miejsce! - Fantastyczne, klimatyczne i przepiękne w każdym calu miejsce.

- Saida (10/5): - ☆All personnel are very kind, helpful and responsible! Təşəkkürlər hər birinizə!
☆ A historical building, cozy atmosphere, interior decoration with sense of history and culture of beautiful Sheki.
☆ Generous, well served, delicious, freshly cooked local breakfast in the patio under huge wallnut tree👌
☆ It has common kitchen area where guests can use any time cooking their own food and eat there.
☆ Clean room with all necessary amenities. There were kettle, coffee machine, water in the room, but no tea bags. No concern with regard to shower and hot water, bathroom was clean.
☆ There is a ceramic art workshop/center on the second floor, open for visitors, where you can observe the process or participate in masterclasses and make your own artwork if interested in. Lots of interesting art works you can see inside and outside of the building! Nothing important
- Kamal Gasımov (8/5): -
- Jiayi (10/5): Exceptional - Great location , pretty property and delicious breakfast
- Rashid (8/5): Very good -
- Lala (9/5): Superb -
- Narda (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful hotel and charming. Really good service and attention of the staff.
- Andrea (9/5): Superb - Fantastic location, in the naibor of famous Sheki Khan Palace and almost all attractions are in walking distance. The atmosphere of the hotel is fascinating. The staff did not speak even basic English - but we could communicate by Google translater
There room was clean at arrival but no housekeeping during the stay.
The breakfast was very modest, there was no even coffee or milk or bakeries other than the traditional bread. However, they made good omelette. However all this was less important than the great location and amazing environment.
- Bahariyya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yizhi (7/5): Good - The room was beautiful. And I like the breakfast it was generous and delicious. The soundproofing was poor — I could hear people talking in the next room.
- Felix (8/5): Stay in historical atmosphere - It was in general great to feel staying in this kind of old house and being that close to the staff - breakfast was freshly cooked right in front of us! It was also surrounded by nature and very peaceful During check in we were not informed about anything which was quite difficult as we therefore had some issues... breakfast times, rooms were not cleaned, payment method just cash etc. The reception staff need proper training
- Zeshan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alice (10/5): Gorgeous hotel with wonderful staff. - Beautiful hotel with spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were super friendly with the warmest of smiles (esp the lovely lady that served our breakfast. Sorry I can’t remember your name) and always eager to help you enjoy your stay.
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
We really thought we’d hit the jackpot! Couldn’t be faulted.
- Jamila (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the decor and great location
- Mingjie (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice place and very friendly staff, we have good time there
- Ken (8/5): Neighbour to the Shekikhans - Brilliant location just around the corner from the Palace of the Sheki Khans, and 5 to 10 mins walk downhill to historic centre. Right in the middle of the sights of Sheki. Perfect.
The breakfast provided was superb. Plenty of tasty food, served by cheery staff.
Hotel is simply but attractively designed, in keeping with historic surrounds. Housekeeping staff were lax in room preparation. We had to search for towels and more toilet paper.
Reception was polite and efficient but a bit too laid back, and didn't volunteer info about use of communal kitchen.
Fittings in room a bit flimsy and rinkydink. A few broken fittings in bathroom
- Jala (10/5): Me and my family, friends highly recommend this hotel! - We traveled with other couple friends of ours. The staff was super friendly and hospitable, especially, staff in the kitchen💛
Both rooms were clean and tidy, all bathroom amenities were available, multiple towels were placed beforehand. İf you are looking for a view, there weren’t much to see out of the window, but rooms and their interior design were delightful. Exactly as appears in the pictures!
We cannot recommend this hotel enough! There’s a open kitchen area (self service(, that you can use 24/7 to eat your food, or enjoy a cup of tea, we cleaned up after ourselves as it should be. And we appreciate the openness of the kitchen as a common eating area with our friends.
Breakfast, should be mentioned separately!! Two ladies were cooking and serving the whole guests. Everything was fresh and tasty! Especially, kükü (omlette with mixed greens)! The lady with hijab was very polite and friendly. She frequently asked if everything was okay, or if we need anything in our rooms. She was doing it very politely so we didn’t get disturbed.
İf you’re looking for a cozy and warm place in the heart of Shaki, this is one of the affordable and super place to check out. Thank you for your service dear ABAD art hotel staff! ❤️ Only concern was walls were not soundproof and you could hear sounds from next rooms. This was not an issue for us, but if you’re sensitive just letting you know.
This is because of the stones used to build the hotel as it was in the old Shaki buildings❤️ (which makes the whole hotel look beautiful)
- Rustam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leyla (8/5): Very good -
- Leyla (8/5): Very good -
- Nathani (10/5): Stepping into this hotel felt like walking into a constantly evolving art gallery! Every corner, every room, was a uniqu - The art and cretivity and the hospitality
- Leyla (8/5): Very good - I would recommend this place to my friends. The breakfast was a great bonus, and the staff were kind. The location is slightly uphill, but it wasn't a problem for us. The room did feel a bit dusty due to the stone walls, but it had an authentic look. Thank you!
- Hanspaul (10/5): Best hotel for Sheki ! - The location is fantastic as next to Palace of Sheki Khans and all the other major attractions within Sheki. There is no need to hire any taxi and all the major historic attractions and restaurants are reachable on foot.
The breakfast is good with all traditional food items and is more than enough.
Above all the staff is very helpful and take care of their guests.
For Sheki,as per my experience it is best hotel to stay for visiting Sheki. The staff is very helpful and take care of their guests.
No complaints.
However if they have one person speaking English,it will be even better.
- Jaspreet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maaz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nigar (10/5): 👍 - Everything was perfect. Thank you for your hospitality.
- Tabish (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Amazing hotel with nice and polite staff. Great location. Breakfast was limited but good enough for a couple. Perfect location
- Seweryn (9/5): It was so good, good location, worth the money - In the center, near to the tourist area, good breakfast, comfortable bad, beautiful old-fashioned building, clean room and bathroom, kitchen open for everyone there were sounds from other rooms and the hallway, room was a little cold, it takes time for coming warm water
- Ahmed (9/5): Superb -
- Anja (8/5): Beautiful location above the Sheki - Amazing location above the city (old part of Sheki), nice and very comfortable rooms, nice garden. Gourme breakfast with many options. We wish we xould stay longer. Staff could be more open and friendly. English seems to be a big problem, but that shouldn't be a problem, as even a smile can solve a lot. The guy at reception was very uninvolved and uninterested. The staff's closed-mindedness casts a bad light on the whole experience, which is otherwise very good.
- Elmira (9/5): Cosy boutique hotel right inside the old town gates. Staff were friendly and helpful. Kitchen served delicious, traditio - Very clean boutique hotel. My room was clean, comfortable and had all the basic amenities. Nothing, everything was great
- Thorf_s (10/5): Exceptional - A very pleasant stay with exceptionally friendly hosts and a very good breakfast.
- Martin (8/5): Nice - The hotel is nice, but very hard to find especially in the dark hours. There is no street lightning or signs pointing at the direction of the hotel. The restaurant adjacent to it says that it’s open, but it is not. The staff member that welcomed us was very disoriented and didn’t know what was going on. Despite everything we had a pleasant stay, the rooms were nice and the whole ambience of the hotel gives off medieval castle vibes. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Would go back there just for the scrambled eggs with tomatoes. The location is not very well clear.
- Dana (9/5): Superb - An artsy historical building boutique hotel located within the sheki castle wall. Well maintained, clean, cobbled stone wall, beautiful art pieces on the wall, and a garden at the back with ceramic displays. The room is of decent size, I enjoyed sitting at the bay window and just looking out. It was hot during the time I was there, and I didn't realise there was no air-conditioner, as they wanted to protect the building, which is understandable. It was actually cooler during the evening, which helped a lot as I wasn't too sure how I managed if it didn't. Staff needs to be a bit more attentive.
- Shagufta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darina (10/5): Seriously the BEST hotel in Sheki - Fantastic brand new hotel just next to the Sheki Khan palace! It is also an artistic and cultural center and you can see that from the design inside and outside, it is done with great care, thought and taste, we were really amazed. The host was very kind and helping, actually all of the personnel was super nice, we felt welcome. The rooms are new, clean, tasteful and comfy, there was even a complimentary bottle of wine! Our room was looking towards the garden and we enjoyed absolute quietness, which was very important for us, our only companions during the night were the stars and the crickets chirrping.
The breakfast in the morning was the most varied and rich from all the places we stayed, with a big choice of vegetarian options, fresh fruits, vegetables, juices, tea, etc, they made sure nothing was missed and it was all so tasty!
We really reccommend this hotel for anyone staying in Sheki, it is the best! The pillows were very high, I reccommend having an extra pair which are of low or medium height so that guests can change.
- Wai (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast is great. Nice room. There is no air conditioner but its very cool inside. Wonderful staff. There are not many restaurants nearby.
- Safari (10/5): Best accommodation at Azerbaijan - The Abad Hotel in Sheki offers a stunningly beautiful environment, impeccably clean accommodations, and all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay. The staff members are incredibly friendly, helpful, and always eager to deliver exceptional service. NA
- Almas (8/5): Very good -
