Guest Reviews
- Cassandra (10/5): - Plenty of rooms for larger families
- Cassandra (10/5): -
- Stacey (6/5): Good for a short period with a large group. - Beds were comfy. Everyone had their own room quite comfortably. Had all the essentials. Clearly lacked a professional cleaner.
Spider webs everywhere outside.
- Alyssa (10/5): - The house is in a great location, lots of space for a group of people, owners easy to get in contact with and replied promptly. There was nothing we didn’t like!! The house was perfect for what we needed but if you’re travelling in a big group you may need to bring your own serving dishes/chopping boards as there wasn’t many things like that
- Billie (10/5): Great accommodation for a getaway to Perth! - The house was perfect! Very spacious fit all 9 of us in perfectly. Kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed there.
Drive way fit all 3 of our cars comfortably.
Location was perfect, close to shops and parks.
Would definitely recommend to anyway with a large group wanting to stay together. The only issue was one door handle on the bathroom that was quite loose.
- Tim (8/5): -
- Susan (9/5): Excellent value for a group - Room set up very good - beautifully presented.
With a car easy drive to supermarket and into the city No wine or champagne glasses
- Bridgette (7/5): Comfortable home away from home - The beds were very comfortable. Great location.
Facilities were modern. Was a bit disappointed the hand wash pumps were empty in both of the bathrooms on arrival and had to buy our own hand soap.
- Adelene (6/5): Average stay, can be better - The location was near an authentic Chinese restaurant. There is a garage where 2 cars can be parked and a side door so that it is sheltered to put luggage into the car. Big enough rooms. On check-in, one of the room had a used towel and a diaper found on the floor of the sliding wardrobe, uncleared. We had to cleaned it out. In another room, part of the carpet was stained nearer to the sliding wardrobe. As it was raining on our first night, there were flies within the corridor of the entrance. It seems the flies came from the entrance and side door of the garage. Unfortunately, there were 2 room just at the entrance and were affected by the flies. Trash and recycle bins were full when we arrived. This was due to the weekly timeline of the trash and recycle trucks. Something could have been done better it make the experience better, even with such timelines. i can understand as i had a previous stay with given information. If this was my first location of stay, i would have been very annoyed.
- jayde (7/5): Spacious rooms and great location. - Beds were comfortable. Had all plates and cutlery for large groups. All of the rooms had air-conditioning/heat. Easy checkin Alot of damage to the walls and cracks in tiles.
Didn't effect our stay at all though.
- Wendy (9/5): Stay at St James hidden gem - The beds were very comfortable. The location is great as close to the city centre and airport. Also reasonably close to public transport. Catered for our group of 10 very well. For a group of 10 there were a few issues with availability of pots and pans and cooking utensils. Ok if you were not cooking during your stay however if cooking for a group a few extra pots would be great. There was no potato masher and insufficient spoons for a group of 10. Also some pegs to hang clothes on the line would be great as there is no clothes dryer but an airer to put clothes on to dry.
There are a lack of power points in all rooms. Eg kitchen had one power point (double) but had to constantly plug and unplug appliances ie jug, toaster, microwave. Also a guide to use the oven would be helpful.
In the room we stayed in there were no bedside lights and no power points near the beds or bedside tables.
- Sue (7/5): Would stay there again but the owners need to ensure their cleaners get there early enough to do a proper job. - Location and size for family of adults over from NZ for a wedding. Even though we arrived 2.5 hours after the 3pm checkin time we could not get in as the cleaners were no where near finished. We had to wait outside for an hour after travelling all day. The floors were not mopped and sticky.
- Yvonne (8/5): Very good -
- Meryn (8/5): Clean, convenient and comfortable. - The house was clean and attractively presented. The beds were comfortable and having the air conditioners in each bedroom and the living area was good. The vertical blinds near the sliding door in the living area did not have a wand to open and close the blinds and it was difficult to slide them open to go in and out the sliding door. There were no wiping clothes or sponges in the kitchen or bathrooms. Some ordinary size wine glasses would have been appreciated. I bought some and left them in the kitchen. The coffee machine is not working properly. It would be helpful to have a set of drawers, small table, shelf or at least luggage rack to put bags and cases on in the non-main bedrooms and/or a wardrobe or a clothes rack. The hot water tap in the shower in the main bathroom needs some attention as it does not turn off properly. Some more power points in the kitchen and bedrooms would also be helpful. Liquid soap and a hand towel for the main bathroom and a box of tissues would be beneficial as well. Thank you.
