Guest Reviews
- Sara (8/5): Comfortable, quiet, spacious, easy access. - Bed was good, sitting rooms very nice, large equipped kitchen, AC good in summer weather, great location. Shared bathroom small. Kitchen needs a deep clean.
- Matthew (8/5): Very good - Location is phenomenal, very nice neighbourhood, easy to find and easy to navigate around. I felt like the description of the property was unclear, it read as if there were rooms in a basement and an individual room upstairs away from the rest but there were 3 all upstairs next to each other. Not sure if I needed to look it over again but yeah.
- Ben (8/5): Value for money - Good location Since it’s caters for international clients, it should consider having international adapters.
- Huma (7/5): Good - The location was perfect for my stay. The rooms were secured by their own locks. The place was clean and everyone had certain rules to follow which were written in the designated areas in kitchen especially. I had a chance to meet other people staying and they were friendly. I had nice time during my stay. Nothing specific. Feedback of any issues encountered were conveyed to the property manager as my feedback.
- Adrian (10/5): Great location and clean house - Great location
- Shekari (7/5): Good -
- Stephan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dominique (9/5): It was all worth it to stay here. Luxury and u have ur privacy with the group - Its very clean and good for groups. It has privacy without other people living The heater it was too much and not enough windows to open
- 通 (8/5): Very good -
- Omid (10/5): A clean and big accommodation - We really liked the size of the house and it's cleanness. It has three separate bedrooms with comfortable beds. There were two bathrooms, which was great. The location was great in Midtown, full of shops and restaurants, and the
Metro Station was just five minutes away on foot. There were not enough kitchen utensils like glasses and cups.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kayte (9/5): Superb - Clean, 2 bathrooms, comfortable beds Very small living room area. This is a basement unit, and it was very warm. We had trouble sleeping because we were so hot.
- Adriana (10/5): Perfect Location, Spacious and Good for a family, would definetely come back - The location was great, in the perfect area and close to many restaurants and a mall, it was also a short train ride to the center of the city as well as other places around Toronto. Would book here or in this location in other stays All was perfect
- Margie (10/5): it’s good safe place and i like the basement lightnings. - easy access to restaurants, police station, and subway heading to downtown Toronto nothing.
- Nofil (8/5): Very good - The location. Ample living space. Cleanliness. The host was unresponsive at times. Had a couple instances where there was a lack of clear guidelines and communication.
- Leone (8/5): Nice quiet location, lots of space, clean and tidy. - Quiet, near train station, clean, comfortable.
No instructions on how to get into property until after we finally got in with help of others also staying there. No soap or face washers in bathrooms. No dish cloths or tea towels in kitchen. No coffee or tea and only one wine glass. No instructions for stove. No detergent for washing machine.
- Dmytro (10/5): Exceptional - - good location close to a metro station
- spacious, warm, and private(totally separate basement unit)
- very flexible, welcoming, and responsive host.
- self check-in & check-out
- stable WiFi - a bit confusing instructions that are mixed for all rooms in the house.
- Rich (7/5): Not what we expected - We stayed here for 3 nights for our visit to Toronto in the downstairs basement 3 br 2 ba unit. Though I had been concerned that the location was so far out of the downtown that we wanted to see the most, we found it was convenient having groceries, eateries, and a Metro station all located about 2 blocks away. The neighborhood was quiet and a police substation was also 2 blocks away near the Metro. Inside the unit was nicely finished and already warmed for us. The washing machine and dryer were very appreciated and we used them. Hot water was ample and relatively quick to flow. The single bed (in its own bedroom) was found to be not comfortable enough. The headroom through most of the unit was about 7 feet, leaving us feeling a little unusual. Wifi was good. This unit is worth considering for your stay as long as you can handle the trade-offs. The driveway was small and did not allow space for our large sedan and any other car and there was no possibility of parking curbside in front of the unit. This did not cause a conflict for our stay, but the manager assured us there was nearby parking if a second vehicle required parking. We had some delay in locating the keybox (on a pipe a few feet from the downstairs entrance) but the manager was responsive and we worked through that well enough. The kitchen was nicely equipped except for insufficient serving ware, lacking glasses, cups, and flatware for 4 people. The heat turned out to be controlled by the thermostat in the upstairs unit - this was fortunately only a minor issue for us as the temperature was reasonable. However, the bedroom with an attached bath was unbearable overnight if the door was kept shut for privacy - I had to open the window to bring the temperature back down to below 76 deg F (high recorded was 86 deg F). Opening the window for a basement apartment might not have been practical if it rained overnight as the next door driveway/walkway fully paves between the two houses and could create a big splash problem. With hindsight now I would have preferred to rent the upstairs unit in spite of the single bath for our two couples.
- Hong (6/5): Pleasant - Location is great, close by Eglinton Metro. Noise from upstair rooms in late nights, very limited cookwares, bedsheets didn’t have good smell.
- Svitlana (7/5): Good - The apartment is very beautiful. Everything is very nice and cozy. The only issue is that the soundproofing is poor. So, if your neighbors come home late and leave early, they will most likely wake you up.
- Dimce (8/5): Very good -
- Bhavin (3/5): Bad - The Blanket and bed were extremely smelly with sweat. The Room owner charges extremely hight rate separately for cleaning but provides unclean room and bed.
- Ludmila (7/5): Good - It’s a nice house with a cosy kitchen and dining room in the basement and a small garden. It appeared to be a real problem to get in as I arrived late and it was absolutely dark outside, so I couldn’t dial the code on the lock on the front door. It could be nice to switch on the light at the entrance especially when you are warned about late arrival beforehand.
- Nadeem (8/5): Very good -
- Shirley (4/5): Like sleeping in an empty house with beds but no with no toiletries - Location and bedding Lack of toiletries. No paper towels, roll of tissue in bath 1 ran out with no replacement, toilet tissue in bath 2 had a light brown stain on roll, no bath soap in bath 1, only shampoo, no towels in kitchen, no trashbag for kitchen basket, I put a grocery bag in place, 2 of the bathroom doors locked upon turning doorknob, host was very slow to response, host did not supply toiletries when I gave notification, host asked me to show proof of my issue and then said supplies will be brought next day which is when we checks out. Ceiling throughout the basement is very low. Excellent location near restaurants
- Ke-hsien (4/5): Disappointing - The living room is large. The location is good by ten minute walk to the metro station. One night during our stay at aboutt 1:00 am, I was awaked surprisingly and suddenly by a phone call from the landlord, saying that a guest was being locked outside the door becasue of no door key prepared in the lockbox. I was asked to open the door for the guest. Due to the poor sleep that night, I was so sleepy the next day, and I was not noticed afterwards and worried if I would be awaked up in the midnight, so I wrote to make sure if the guest got the key. Finally I got the response.
Also, my wife and I were troubled by being biten in the room. We suspected that might be bed bugs and thus asked the landlord, who then asked me to send the photo of my bites for proof. I did it. But afterwards, the landlord said this never happened before and except apology in words, there would be nothing he or she could do.
- Evgenija (8/5): Very good -
- Imelda (8/5): Very homey and comfortable bed - Spacious and clean Lack of thrash bags
- Serge (7/5): Good - The location Would love if we could get at least 1 of the beds in a King size
- Olwyn (10/5): Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended. - Perfect Location - 7 minute walk to train station

Quiet Area
- Brett (10/5): Awesome! - Awesome!
- Sunah (7/5): Good - I was looking for 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and this was it. I was not being told that I would stay in a semi basement! I expected to have a nice living room with the garden view as shown on the picture but when I had to go down the stairs, my family was pretty much disappointed. I think this should be clearly mentioned on booking.com. Poor kitchenware, dirty cupboards.
- Cynthia (4/5): Good location for subway access, Starbucks about six blocks away and enjoyed Toronto. - Beds were comfortable and washer and dryer available, but no soap. Nice kitchen set up, but nothing in the cupboards to cook with such as spices, oil etc This was a basement unit and if you are over 6 feet the ceilings were too low. One of us is 6’3” and has a nasty scrape on his scalp. TV options were 1950s black and white tv shows. Bathroom for the smaller two bedrooms was at the opposite end of the unit.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - The location was excellent.
- Stephan (8/5): Very good -
