Close to the beach and restaurant.
Staff are easy to contact when needed. The master’s bed room is hot, not reaching the aircon wind.
- Brown (5/5): Mismanaged property managers and complex is old and in need of some basic maintenance and upkeep - lots of places to eat breakfast informed the garage remote probably won't work when I picked up the keys, not a good start. Of course they didn't work.
Get into the unit, not a single towel provided for 5 people, called the office, no answer. So we had to go out and buy towels, extremely unprofessional. The Beds were all like cement, they are beyond hard and we all now have sore necks and backs as a result. Cleanliness was very poor, we turned the fan on and the bed was covered in dust/fluff after 5 mins. Found a cockroach in the fridge. The couch has a cushion cover missing altogether, just left with the inner lining.
Couldn't even get into our garage the next day as someone had parked in front of it, not a single positive to this property.

1 min walk to the patrolled beach, a few min walk to The Warf where you can find some lovely restaurants and the Aquarium....
Superclever that the Taranaki building complex has an extra entrance from the balcony (easy to leave beach chairs and sandy items there before getting inside the apartment) and a shower/toilet at the ground floor, for all taranaki residents to use (great to stop by and getting a shower there before going to your apartment! All the sand off, even the bit one cannot get off by showering at the beach, while wearing their bathers!) The garage entrance is very narrow and getting through the driveway with our rental Kia Carnival (8seater SUV) was truly challenging!
- Pedram (9/5): Our stay was delightful, with excellent communication, a clean and well-equipped property. - Communication with the reception/host was excellent. We received several messages regarding the check-in time and instructions on where to collect the keys. Although the key collection office was located separately from the property, the detailed messages provided ensured a smooth check-in process. Along with the keys, we were given a welcome letter containing helpful information about the property, including our obligations and other essential details.
The property itself was immaculate, peaceful, and tastefully decorated, featuring a fully equipped kitchen with all necessary appliances. The balcony offered a stunning garden and river view, complete with dining sets for an enjoyable outdoor experience.
The property’s location was excellent, just a few steps away from the beach and nearby restaurants. The garage was somewhat challenging to locate upon arrival, as it was positioned at the back of the property and lacked any identifying number on the garage door. Additionally, the welcome letter did not include any information about the garage's location. The garage was also so narrow that our SUV car doors could only be partially opened, but not a big issue for us.
