Guest Reviews
- Michael (7/5): War in Ordnung.
- Francesca (5/5): Wouldn’t go again - The flat in itself is great and in a fantastic area of Florence. It is renovated with taste, especially the bathroom and kitchen, and with beautiful furniture. The flat was extremely cold. The apt. only provided two thin bed spreads (no duvets) and one (!) light wool cover. We had to asks friends to lend us some extra covers but unfortunately at the end of the stay we all got sick anyway . The support we received was moderate at best, the owner/administrator kept referring to the city regulation as to why the heating is open for only 12 hours a day. However, with these laws, an apartment which such malfunctioning system cannot be rented in the winter months.
We also experienced the issue with the upstairs neighbors that is mentioned in other reviews, they were loud and could be clearly heard in very private situations.
- Vilma (7/5): Nice apartment but cold in autumn - The apartment is in a great location, all manor sights can be easily reached on foot, just around 15-min-walk.
I liked the interior design as it is recently renovated. The stay in a very clean and spacious flat was good.
The 'Keys of Italy' gave clear directions for the check-in and check-out, they were easy to reach and responded to my messages really quickly. I was given welcome coffee capsules and later on they brought me some extra to be enough for the whole week. There was also a bottle of mineral water left form me. The internet worked very well in the living room. Despite of the great things there are still things that I would improve. Firs of all, it was extremely cold, even for me who is from the northern Europe and used to cold. It was late November, temperature at night during most of the week was around +1C or even less outside and days were really rainy. The central heating was turned off. The radiators became hot just 2 evenings for a few hours out of the whole 7 days. There are radiators in the bathroom but they were also cold. I couldn't dry any of my clothes or wet shoes after walks. After I complained two times to the host I just got the explanation that it is an "Italian law", they tried to fix the heating but it worked just for one day. So, if you go there in late autumn bring the warmest pyjamas you have, wool socks and a warm sweater - that's what I had to buy on the second day ;)
As for the kitchen, it is nicely equipped except there aren't plates to eat from. As I was alone, for me it was enough. But for more people it can't be enough.
The apartment is safe and even if you want to get through the second door first two days was like conquering castle - it took time to 'fight' with the locker, but on the third day I managed to figured out how it works ;)
And those who really find a problem to climb the stairs the apartment doesn't suit you as there are steep high steps to the 2nd floor.
Besides, it isn't suitable for light sleepers as well because the street is pretty noisy all day and night and at weekends it becomes noisy because of youth clubs and bars in nearby streets, the isolation of the walls is also week and you can hear every step of people living above the apartment.
If you do not care about the things mentioned above then it's a perfect location to stay in Florence.
- Draskovic (9/5): Superb - The staff was so responsive that I would have given them a 100 if I could, big kudos to them.
Location was pretty nice as well.
The apartment is spacious.
Bed was comfortable. The doors to the apartment were difficult to open. There must be something wrong there.
Cleanliness was not the best, surface areas seem badly cleaned.
Chairs are somehwhat uncomfortable, the sitting sofa as well. Just a heads up: It was cold during the nights in October, but as we are told it is forbidden by law to turn on the heating before 1 November. It is cold even to sit on that plastic chair and dine.
You can hear everything from the other apartments through the walls. Everything.
- Jacki (8/5): Very good - Beautiful apartment, outside of the busiest parts of the city but still within easy walking distance of everything. Very comfortable bed, lots of storage and great shower. The sofas were comfortable, which is rare for an apartment rental from our experience! No dish towels or coffee provided. I feel that if a specific coffee machine is provided, it should be accompanied by the appropriate capsules. As we were only staying for 3 nights, it was not economical for us to purchase some. Also, the door wasn't the easiest to unlock, so more specific instructions would have been useful.
- Jenny (9/5): Spacious, comfortable & clean! - The apartment was great - really spacious, comfortable and clean. The AC wasn't turning on upon our arrival but the host was very responsive and got it fixed the next morning. The doors were narrow and slightly difficult to open with the keys, but still manageable.
- Bair (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siddharth (10/5): Exceptional - It was very spacious and right in the heart of the city. The streets were very lively and lots of good places to eat and drink nearby. The beds are two single beds and are joined but the keep separating apart, which was very uncomfortable.
