Guest Reviews
- Brett (9/5): -
- Heather (8/5): It was convenient and a very nice holiday let. - Instructions rather than photos would make it easier to get to the pool house. We had to ask another couple who were also staying in another area of the main house to move their car as it was blocking our exit from the pool house.
- Fabian (7/5): - The location and host was nice The fireplace had no wood, firestarters, or matches other than that it was cosy
- Guest (9/5): I highly recommend staying a minimum of 2 nights, due to the tranquillity of this property. - The property surroundings were very tranquil.
We arrived later than expected. It was dark on our arrival & we weren't sure where to go. The host came out & pointed us in the right direction.
Our message about the key code came after we left home. The host came & assisted us with the code to get the key & open up. Very grateful for the help after a long drive.
We had to leave early the next morning for an event, but would have loved to stay another night to truly enjoy our surroundings.
The bed was so comfortable, that I wanted to take it home. My children were so wriggly in their sleep, on the air mattress. Every time they moved, it sounded like thunder.
Would love to have had 2 nights to enjoy the tranquillity, of the property, but, only needed 1 night. Summer would be fantastic to be able to enjoy the pool.
- jadconcae cleaning (5/5): - Cosy and warm Size and lack of aides to keep clean
- Kalpit (10/5): Exceptional - Nice location
- Jessica (10/5): Peaceful retreat. - The property was in a lovely setting and was a private, warm and comfortable place to rest our heads on our flying visit to spend time with family.
It was clean and well kept and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The driveway entry/ exit was a bit intimidating to navigate but we managed ok.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely pool house nestled in the forest, this cosy cottage near beautiful Warrandyte offers privacy, comfort, and access to a refreshing swimming pool. Another perfect stay.
- John (7/5): Quite comfortable retreat ideal for weekend getaway - Nice quite location close to Warrandyte, would be a lovely spot in the bush for a quite weekend Carpet could do with an update as a bit musty (maybe install vinyl) air con a bit ancient
- Debra (9/5): Great family cottage stay not far from Yarra Valley & Healesville - This is a lovely cottage with ample space for two or a family of four, we had enough room also for our single inflatable bed so our children didn’t need to just share the sofa bed. It’s a quick drive to great eating places (Raffles recommended if you are gluten-free). We went to the Chocolaterie one day and Healesville Sanctuary the other, plus the Park Orchards Easter market was great!!! All within comfortable driving distance. There is also a walking path straight outside the property which was good to take our dog along. We can loved the place and area for a great family break. The pool too is also just fantastic! Only thing for us was keeping our dog contained in the veranda (which was plenty of room for him because he’s old) but we were worried about him falling down the steps to the pool area, so we put one of the outdoor chairs across there, but that was the only thing.
- Daisie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (8/5): Relaxing location serene surrounding with a great pool. - The pool & location were great. Small couch . A larger couch to relax & lounge around.
- Kaylan (10/5): Fantastic! - Easy check in, great communication with hosts, great value for money! Can’t fault!
- Prue (8/5): Very good - Location was great. Pool was lovely. When we asked for extra towels they gave them to us. Helpful hosts and beautiful spot - definitely stay again. Would have been good to have a better map to find the location of the accommodation. Also to have 2 x sets of towels for pool and bath. Also to have banana lounges. But apart from all that was amazing stay!
- Doug (1/5): Not what we expected at all. - The house was not cleaned properly, there was dirty had marks on the island bench stains on the carpet there was only one towel, not enough utensils in the kitchen no dish cloth one tea towel, the tv and internet was horrible there were possums on the roof the pool and the facilities were very poorly maintained the parking was horrible and you felt like you were being watched.
I would not recommend this to anyone.
It was a beautiful property but was really badly run down every thing about it was run down from the front entrance gate the gardens the pool fence over grown trees and shrubs.
It was not pleasant at all.I hope that the people who own it or run or manage it will appreciate the feedback and make some changes.
I really felt sorry for the people as the obviously have bout a run down property it had 3 houses it would of been amazing in the day but now it’s needing a lot of love and care.
- Anneliese (10/5): character,, good facilities laid back, and AMAZING POOL - Character plus!
Clean, great bathroom, tucked away , comfortable and modern tv with Netflix etc. Wi-Fi
Convenient , bush location,
Huge deep pool.
Quiet location
Laid back ,
Memorable Small size bed, no fold out bed .
- Tracy (7/5): Nice but a few small issues - Beautiful location. Location location
Peaceful and relaxing
Close to the special occasion we attended.
Easy check in
The pool was clean. Sole use of the pool.
Lovely deck
Large fridge
Washing machine
Walk in robe
Light and bright
Homely
Vacuum cleaner was a bonus
Extra pillows and blankets
Washing powder Advertising pool house but no towels provided for pool.
It wasn't clean and the toilet smelled of stale urine. We bought toilet spray and incense and candle to mask the smell.
The shower leaked on the floor and travelled across towards the wall.
Was hoping for a BBQ but it could not be used
Would be nice to have basic kitchen utensils
No iron as advertised
We would stay there again but would check if that smell was taken care of. The rest was small stuff as we could go to the local shopping centre and buy towels and other items to resolve the issues except the smell.
- Caitlin (8/5): Very good - Great location, building, and facilities. Used for a business planning retreat.
There were small touches that made it clear they'd noted it was for a business trip.
Studio was nice and clean, and excellent shower pressure! Will definitely be back again. Kitchen had limited crockery and cleaning supplies, be sure to bring your own ground coffee!
- Charlie (8/5): It was a pleasure to stay here, some upgrades are needed but it’s a good price and a lovely place. - The pool was really great for these unforgiving summer days. The air con was also great.
The house itself is small but nice.
One bedroom, one bathroom and one kitchen/lounge room with an inflatable double bed kindly set up for us when we arrived, meant we had enough room for 4 people to sleep (so long as you’re comfortable sharing a bed).
We were not greeted by the hosts but that was okay as we arrived on a Sunday during a thunderstorm. The hosts (who live on the property roughly 20 metres from the pool) were quiet and we never felt uncomfortable being nearby. We liked how close it was so shopping centres and restaurants! The directions we received regarding the keys and navigation to the home were clear.
I read the reviews before our stay and we all packed our own towels and pillows and I’d suggest you do the same! But so long as you’re prepared it will be a lovely stay. The only things I would say I didn’t love were the poor quality pots and pans, as well as the hot plate to cook on was quite hard to work with.
Also when you shower the water goes all over the bathroom and the bath mat supplied does not help AT ALL, in fact it made it worse because once my partner stood on it he slipped and almost hit his head on the toilet across the other side of the room. It was quite scary.
And the bed in the bedroom was one of the noisiest and squeakiest beds I’ve ever slept on, after the second night we took the whole mattress off the bed (maybe a bit dramatic but we needed the sleep) 😝
- Arusha (10/5): Exceptional - Really beautiful location and lovely host.
- Wendy (8/5): Overnight stay self checkin/ checkout - Close location for family wedding at Potters in Warrandyte Nothing
- Yongfeng (8/5): Very good - it so quiet. Love the location. love the isolation.
- Min (7/5): Good - Location was great The drive way as you have to reverse in or out and very little maintenance around the place which lets it down heaps no smoke alarm in the house
- Brooks (6/5): Peaceful retreat. Hosts need to fix a few things and maintain the pool! - The cabin is situated at the back of the property surrounded by wildlife and trees. The atmosphere was very peaceful, you felt far away from the rat race! - The pool was not heated or cleaned (it was gross). Don't advertise a swimming pool when you don't maintain it!
- The bed creaked every time you moved which made it difficult to get to sleep. I honestly thought it was going to fall apart.
- The pillows were like pancakes and we had to buy new pillows after the first night of waking up with sore necks.
- The shower leaks into the bathroom and we had to 'mop' up the water after each use
- The aircon rattled all the time and the air filters were filthy
- Janet (7/5): Pet friendly accommodation close to Potters Receptions. - Pet friendly, convenient location for local wedding. Bed squeaky, thin towels and stained carpet.
- Jonathon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elke (8/5): Very good -
- Elke (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malcolm (8/5): Very good -
- Bobbib (9/5): Superb -
- Suares (8/5): Satisfying, enjoyable and comfortable. - I liked the accessibility of the key on entry, I liked the fireplace and Pay TV. The airconditioning was very affective within the house. Great variety of kitchen appliances and utensils. There was a lot of storage in the house. (Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom.) The scenery was amazing I enjoyed my stay. The air mattress was to soft (for the spare bed) there wasn't a supply of firewood or sufficient bbq supplies. I had to buy fire starters and coal
- Nicole (9/5): Superb -
- Moya (9/5): Convenient spot as we were attending a wedding near by. - Clean spacious unit with a good kitchen and lovely view. It was raining when we arrived so the driveway to the unit was slippery. When we came back late from the wedding we parked in front of the main house on the sealed driveway.
- Carly (8/5): Excellent, Cosy - Lovely, friendly host met us at the property
- Rose (4/5): Practical but expecting more for the money I spent - Peaceful and secluded 1. Entry details were convoluted and poor lighting meant it was difficult to get to key which was so high up that I struggled to hold torch and use combination lock.
2. Please investigate in some good quality towels - the ones provided were threadbare and not very absorbent
3. Milk in the fridge means I could have had a cuppa as soon as I arrived
4. Single uncomfortable couch meant I couldn’t sit there with my son to talk comfortably.
5. Instructions of how to use items in the house (couldn’t get tv onto channels), using the split system and local restaurants would have been helpful
- Katrina (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Finley (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne (8/5): All in all I am happy with my stay. It was clean, comfortable and close to the wedding venue. - It was clean and the bed was comfortable. No Tv
- Gilberte (10/5): Exceptional -
