Guest Reviews
- Douglas (6/5): average at best - it was bare minimum as I did not want eggs place is more run down than I like
- Guenter (5/5): - Sehr alt. Fast wie im Museum
- Marie (8/5): - Lovely hosts sharing their home. Comfortable beds.
Breakfast great.
Good location between Inverness and Cheticamp Separate toilet available as shared bathroom between 3 couples tricky.
- Ron (8/5): - The hosts were so friendly and so great. The room was SO CLEAN!
The breakfast was fabulous! But... they should ask...how do you like your eggs done...that way youll always get it right! Maybe if there wasn't soo much stuff on the furniture in the room one could put thier own stuff there.
- Jansma (8/5): - De gastvrijheid van de
Mensen
- Bill (9/5): Incredible views - Old home with pretty antiques rooms
Very clean and sweet couple run it ! All ok
- Ning (8/5): Would recommend B&Bs to the friends - The toast and yogut are very good. The location, which is at the east side of Cabot Trail, is very good for tourists. And the most we learnt how the local people live their lives during the conversations with the hosts. The bathtub needs some improvement. It would be better if we could be given more space in the fridge. Because travellers would have their own food.
- Al (7/5): -
- Chit (9/5): We enjoyed it , peaceful place - It’ has antique furniture , 1900 years old house, friendly host ,clean room with breakfast
Quiet House, big space for parking. Closer to one of the beach Need better shower curtain

- BI (9/5): - very good
- rudy (3/5): Horrible - Breakfast was very limited and poor Breakfast was poor host did offer little.
Bathroom was not clean.
Way overpriced for the room with no TV
More interested in receiving the money then in the guests.
Staircase difficult to negotiate with luggage
Room was very small.
Will never go back there again.
- Doug (9/5): An old fashioned BnB in a beautiful spot convenient to Cheticamp, Inverness, music in Mabou and the Glendora distillery. - Great hosts, wonderful views.
- Holly (2/5): if you can find other place, do not stay here. - I was asked to pay more in cash. the bath tab yas a very tine space. we were forced to write a good review in their guestbook. could not use the refrigerator and all other kitchen staff. The hosts were not friendly,
- Adele (8/5): Helpful accommodating genuine sincere - Terrific breaky first time I liked poached eggs location and view were perfect It‘s all good
- Donkers (9/5): The location and charm are unmatched - Beautiful location with a quaint home. The atmosphere was lovely and just as I imagined. I felt very welcomed and loved hearing about the local information from the hosts. They were lovely and very good cooks!
- Carol (9/5): A lovely home with comfortable rooms, and we enjoyed the breakfast. - Lovely home with lots of character. Very friendly hosts. It was warm and the ceiling fan made a noise but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
- Rebecca (5/5): Passable -
- Lida (6/5): Pleasant - The property was easy to find! Crowded with antiques, my mother was worried the whole time about knocking something over.
- Sylvain (5/5): Passable - Nice and warm hosts, good breakfast, beautiful view especially the sun peering through the early morning fog in the valley. I had never seen anything like it. The bed was slanted a bit due to the slope in the floor. With the thick pillow, my head felt too high and it wasn’t very comfortable. Standard beds are too short for me, my feet were sticking way out (I’m 6’1”) Overall it felt just too expensive for the quality.of the experience.
- Olivier (9/5): i loved it and i plan to visit again - The owners are very friendly and it's quiet.
it's close to a beach
nice view
- Dorothy (7/5): Good -
- Kelly (6/5): Pleasant -
- Smith (8/5): Hosts were accommodating. Room was clean / nice and breakfast was good. - Hosts were accommodating. Room was clean / nice and breakfast was good.
- Tina (9/5): Superb -
- Carol (7/5): Good -
- Patrick (5/5): older homestead in need of upgrade (bathroom). Overpriced. rates should be lower - location was great. Breakfast was great. Bed had a comfy mattress shared bathroom down the hall. no shampoo. one shared bottle of hand soap for showers, etc... Lack of power outlets in the room. unpleasant odor lingering in bathroom (water?)
- Worden (10/5): Very pleasant people and the home is filled with interesting objects. Check it out - The men made a lovely breakfast of poached eggs on toast with lots of fresh fruit and coffee of course.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Enjoyable - It’s a great old house, things to look at in every corner. The owners are so welcoming, and a great deal of fun to talk with. Breakfast was super. It has a shared bathroom, we didn’t care really, but some people might.
- Tmhenneberry (8/5): Margaree Harbour View Inn - Lovely B&B. Friendly hosts. Good breakfast. Great value. Would stay here again. They need a sign or name outside. It's easy to drive by.
- Briar (5/5): Passable - It was close to a nice beach. Didn't get breakfast because checked out at 8am. Did get coffee. Was a bit warm in the room but okay.
- Jaydeep (10/5): Cozy home with friendly hosts - The hosts were very friendly, polite, and inviting because it was literally their home and tried to make you feel just as home as them. The host let me eat my pizza in their dining room and kept me entertained with conversation. The room was very cozy and had a comfortable temperature despite how cold and windy it was outside. The entire place looked very neat and had a lot of antique pieces and decorations. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The house had plenty of parking space and my room had a great view of the river and the horizon. The water in the shower had a faint smell of ocean water but it is understandable since the house was just near the coast
- Lou (5/5): One night stay - Not much Very old house, no tv, shared bathroom
- Frederick (3/5): This is a very old house with shared bathroom - it is an experience but not for a fussy traveler - -

- Lina (8/5): Very suitable. Except would prefer private bathroom and earlier breakfast. - The host and hostess were very friendly. The breakfast was really good.
- Leigh (6/5): Nice stay on the Cabot Trail. - Quaint, B&B in a small area of the Cabot Trail. It’s a bit far from restaurants so plan lunch/dinner accordingly.
- Colleen (7/5): Good - The rooms were quite comfortable and clean and Connie and Chuck were very knowledgeable of the area and what was going on. We would stay there again.
- Jay (7/5): We would happily stay again. - Connie and Chick are wonderful hosts. The location is excellent and they were very helpful with finding local restaurants. The house is older so any movement can be noisy.
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (9/5): I would recommend this place!! - great location at the base of the Cabot Trail. Breakfast was excellent, hosts were very friendly. The bed was a little short for me- I am six ft to all and my ankles hung off the end.
Only two chairs for the front porch.
- Connie (10/5): I would like to go back to visit the area to see the crafts and concerts. - Hearing the history of the areas and also the family home history. The community spirit learning how the neighbors all worked together to promote tourism.
- Elenapnt (7/5): Good - The hosts were amazing and taught us a lot about Cape Breton history and tradition.
