Guest Reviews
- Craig (10/5): Really nice experience - The old retro charm was lovely
- Steve (9/5): perfect - great lay out and private location
- Lynette (8/5): - Spacious and very comfortable beds Everything was good
- Adele (10/5): Comfy retro stay - recommended! - Four of us spent Easter weekend here. The place has a real retro vibe, which we all appreciated. The accommodation is a fully self-contained space above the host’s house. There’s a balcony at the front snd at the back, the rooms are very spacious and immaculately clean, consisting of three rooms with double beds and a pair of bunk beds. There’s a huge bbq, oven, dishwasher, plenty of place to relax, and ‘essentials’ are supplied. There’s also tv’s in a couple of the rooms. The place has lots of quirky little objects scattered around, I’d say the host is a fellow traveller. It’s quiet, a short drive to the shops and beach, and there’s a friendly goat across the road in a neighbour’s garden who made friends with our dog (did I mention it’s dog friendly?). Thank you Donna, we loved it ❤️ N/a - it was great
- Mark (5/5): Basic accommodation for family groups in a nice location - Spacious full level of the top floor of the building (not suitable for anyone with limited mobility), completely separate from the ground floor. All necessary facilities were provided although we didn't use the kitchen. Communication was efficient, instructions were clear. Property was clean and tidy. Hot water pressure was abysmal (to the point of being unable to be used), I can only assume due to the hot water system being shared with residents downstairs. Street side balcony latch was broken. The property is marred by fundamental design flaws of the 70s: bathroom mirror too low for a person of average height to see themselves; bathrooms dated and cramped. Temper expectations even at this price point.
- Gabriella (9/5): Great location and comfortable house for a family - Spacious and comfortable No yard
- Barry (8/5): - The owner was so friendly . It was relaxed. All the equipment you could use It didn’t have a yard

- pan_parag (9/5): Very comfy stay at this homely property - Happy property, tastefully done, older style but very welcoming. Living area is bright and has nice cross ventilation. House is in a nice quiet neighbourhood you can hear birds every morning which is nice to wake up to. SMall but functional kitchen. Couch is comfy, beds too. Everything is perfect. The table in balcony can be a bit smaller, it takes up a lot of space and bit tight with the chairs. The outdoor unit of the aircon is due for replacement , its a bit noisy
- Michael (8/5): NSW trip - Classic upstairs apartment accessed from side of house. Very spacious with 3 big double bedrooms. It’s a short walk to the beach on quiet roads, in a nice residential type area. Property is fairly old and does take a while to warm up on arrival in winter, but everything worked. Hot water seemed to have a limit so best plan to share reasonably.
- Naomi (10/5): Highly recommend - Absolutely everything
It was well thought out had everything a family or group could need Nothing

- George (10/5): Exceptional - Good fit for my family The price is to high for family on a budget
- Ball (10/5): We had a very relaxing and comfortable time. We would rent the place again. - The spaciousness, with relaxing places to visit: either front or back balconies or lounge / dining area. The cozy setting with the timber furnishings. I liked the pottery mugs, too! I was not able to access the Wifi. However, this was not a significant issue, so did not ask Donna about what I may be doing wrong.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): Lovely quiet street and the accommodation had everything we needed. Would stay again. - Quiet street but close to everything, could store our bikes in the garage. Nothing really.

- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious, well equipped. Short walk down to river. Owner was very friendly. It felt a bit damp, but that seems like everything down at the coast this time of year when the humidity is so high.
- Diane (8/5): Nice comfortable stay for a fair and reasonable price. - It had 2 bathrooms and overall quite comfortable. Short drive to beaches and to the Bowling Club.
- Fabiene (8/5): Very good -

- Janis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sebastian (8/5): It was very quite and peaceful location, clean and comfy, good for a family -
- Bonnie (10/5): Beautiful beach getaway - What an amazing find! This beachy property is modern, spotlessly clean and well maintained. As others have mentioned, the photos don’t do it justice - three airy bedrooms, great open living space, balcony out the back and front, neat kitchen, and a garage full of beach toys and bicycles downstairs. It’s a 2 min drive to Culburra Beach, and a 20 min drive down to Callala Beach. Supermarket and restaurants 5 mins away in the local town. Highly recommend!
- Mimi (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet location. Neat and tidy. Has everything you need provided. Convenient access to shops/restaurants/cafes There was nothing that we didn't like.
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): Cute well styled home away from home. - The photos for this place don't do it justice. It's one of the best home style accomodations I've stayed in - and I travel a lot for work. It is so lovely and spacious. There are 3 bedrooms, one with a double bunk bed. We only stayed in one of the master bedrooms as it was just me & my service dog. It feels like you're in a lovely home away from home. Great location and even though it's on top of another residence, it felt very private. Would definitely stay again. The stairs to get up to the place are a little steep and should be taken into account if you have a disability like I do or elderly. But I was able to manage with the help of my service dog and apart from that inwas thrilled with the place and it was so well appointed and styled.
- Yijian (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (8/5): Spacious, clean and comfortable - We were attending a funeral and needed accommodation. Wren's Nest was local, comfortable and suited our needs.
The host was quick to respond to any queries. Netflix on the TV was a bonus. We would have liked to stay longer. External stairs to the accommodation.
- Anonymous (10/5): Home away from home, and near the beach - It was such a nice cosey home away from home and so central to everything, with great hosts who shared a lot of local knowledge. Goats across the road which the kids loved. Nothing it was exceptional
- Mark (8/5): Comfortable and clean. Very nice. -
- Lisa (10/5): Wonderful - It was a cozy feel - tidy and easy to access - close to the beach and shops
- Mustafa (10/5): Warm, Cosy and Relaxing , very comfortable for our family of 4 - it’s a nice and rustic place , pretty had everything we needed , loved that every intricate detail was looked after - felt warm, cosy and comfortable
- Ghimirey (10/5): Best Place to Stay - the environment and you won't feel you staying out of your home. It feels like home away from home. there was literally nothing that I didn't like about the place
- Kaye (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (10/5): Donna was great. Responded promptly to my enquiry and was able to offer us an early checkin. - The property was very clean and comfortable. Suited us perfectly. We enjoyed sitting on the front verandah, discreetly out of sight by the beautiful bougainvillea. To be honest, the photos don't do it justice. We would definitely stay there again. For the 3 of us, nothing.
- Gav (8/5): Was clean and suitable for 2 fisherman. - All good. Was unaware at the time of booking that this is actually a duplex. Wasn't a big deal but would of liked to know.
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional -
