• Linda (9/5): A beautiful comfortable apartment with magnificent views of the beach - Each bedroom had their own bathroom and toilet, kitchen, air conditioning, balcony,and beautiful views of the pools and the bay. there were 2 huge pools and nearby restaurants There was a shortage of cutlery but that was very quickly attended to... There were tiny little ants all over the kitchen and bathroom areas And there was no BBQ area anywhere on the property but that wasn't a big deal

• Marsha (7/5): Nice location, full resort facilities are not available. - Beautiful resort, great location The Booking.com bio doesn’t clarify the apartment is privately owned, located within the Oaks resort. (Title mentions “within upmarket resort”, no further detail) I was there for work primarily, and needed access to resort facilities, eg room service and printing. These were not available, and this only became clear at checkin. I also only needed a single room, had I known this was within the Oaks resort I would have booked a single room with Oaks directly, likely at a cheaper price, plus then had the facility access I needed. Provided feedback to the owners that their bio is a bit misrepresentative in not clearly stating it is a private apartment without full resort facility access. They have not replied after 2 weeks. Bit disappointing. Otherwise a nice, functional apartment. The plants are plastic.

• Belinda (8/5): A very positive experience! We are a family of 4 who visited for 4 nights in August. It was a lovely break as part of o - The apartment was super spacious and has a lovely view from the balcony out to sea.

Also the confusion about the bathroom exhaust needs to be clearly labeled or explained, took us almost the whole stay to figure out the loud noise was due to it being on all the time

• Brian (10/5): Great accommodation to explore Hervey Bay - Very comfortable and well appointed unit. Also very spacious Arranging access to the unit was a little confusing. We were not aware that the unit was not managed by the Managem3nt for the Oaks Complex or the the unit was in that complex. Once we were aware of this and had gained access we had no issues.

Great location and amenities for swimming, parking etc. Kitchen is well kitted for self catering, also close to restaurants and supermarkets. Will definitely be back! Nothing to complain about at all. Only suggestion is would be nice to have swimming towels available.

The apartment was in need of a good clean. Never before have we arrived at an accommodation and felt the need to mop & vacuum. Kitchen in general was very dirty - microwave, oven, kitchen drawers. As other guests have said, can’t sit out on the balcony because the aircon blasts hot air.

• Benita (10/5): Clean, homely and great location! - It was homely and extremely clean! Nothing really, only complaint was that the clothes dryer didn’t work well.
• Andrew (6/5): Great location, great sized apartment, lacking the anticipated quality as advertised - The location, the complex it was in with parking, pools and adjacent restaurants and cafes. The property had three disappointing features, firstly, it was not properly cleaned on arrival and even though the owner addressed this with the cleaner returning, the property requires a thorough clean (for example, each of the dining chairs have crumbs and food residue on them and needed a good clean, the settees were found to be dirty even after the second clean.). The second point was that the advert shows a bright beach style apartment, while technically the furniture was as is in the photographs, the apartment lacks natural lighting and without room lights is dark and underwhelming, dissimilar to the photos. The third and final point is that our stay was booked for 12 days and at no point was it made clear that we would have the same laundry (sheets) on the beds for the entire time. We had expected, given the booking length, that a sheet change would have been included, however, after raising this with the owner we were told this would incur an extra cost and had not been factored in to our booking - disappointing.
• Sara (10/5): Very relaxing, comfortable stay at a beautifully decorated and large apartment. - We loved the Hamptons decor-beautiful. Beds and pillows extremely comfy. 3 smart TVs. View was gorgeous, 2 spas and 3 bathrooms so nice. Location amazing. Walk paths, restaurants. Felt like home away from home. Minor things- back bedroom blind need to be blackout. Bring a sleep mask. Airconditioners on patio make it too hot to sit there when they are on. Also have to bring own shampoo and conditioner.

• Babora (5/5): Despite the ocean view, poor maintenance and cleanliness made our stay disappointing. - For us- Wolf family, we really enjoyed the apartment. We had the best room with a stunning ocean view, and the mattresses were incredibly comfortable. The room was peaceful, and we also loved the way the bathroom was seamlessly integrated with the bedroom. And we really enjoyed the heated pool. Our friends who came with us stayed in the other bedroom, and unfortunately, their experience was far from ideal. Their room was terrible, located near the ground floor, and it was extremely noisy. They couldn’t open the window in the evening due to the constant sound of cars from the street, and very early in the morning, they were disturbed by people walking through the hall with suitcases. Additionally, the wardrobe light in their room didn’t work. We called Geoff to report these issues, but he ended the call abruptly. In both bedrooms, the window blinds were also problematic. In the adults’ room, the rod to adjust the blinds didn’t work, and in the children's room, the blinds kept falling down as they weren’t secured properly. On top of that, there wasn’t enough cutlery—only six forks etc.—and the dryer didn’t work. To be honest, the entire apartment felt somewhat dirty, with stains on the sofa and chairs, dirty curtains, and also the kitchen, the glass etc. We were quite disappointed by the overall condition of the apartment.

Close to cafes, restaurants, shopping centre and car rental. We took a half day whale watching cruise which was amazing. Enjoyed long walks along the beach and the esplanade walking path. Management of Oaks Apartments accessed the apartment for a pest inspection while we were not present.

Great view and close to everything we needed.. Only complaint was the ongoing issue of smokers in what is meant to be a smoke-free hotel.

A bathroom for each bedroom was also a great feature - particularly for friends staying together or families with children. The view from the loungeroom is spectacular! There was a big clump of long black hair left in the ensuite shower on the grate which was a little icky. There were a few broken bathroom fittings. The TV in the master bedroom did not work - sound but no picture only vertical lines. There were no instructions for the coffee machine and we were unable to use it. The water filter (inbuilt to fridge) did not work.

• Porter (7/5): My wife and I took my two elderly sisters there for a 3 night stay. - The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The Oaks complex facilities were great and having two restaurants on site was very convenient. Very little bench space in the kitchen plus only 1 double power point at the end for a kettle / toaster etc.. The balcony was very hot when any of the air conditioning units were in use as the hot air made it uncomfortable. It needed a ceiling fan.

• Stewart (10/5): Lovely location, comfortable stay - The apartment was clean and comfortable and the building has great pools and is handy to local restaurants. You have ocean glimpses from the balcony as well. The beds were really comfortable and the room we stayed in was quite dark in the morning which is always really important to me! The building itself requires key access to everything. They provided two keys but if you're more than 2 adults you might find that you can't walk very many places without it! We were able to get the keys okay, but the photos didn't get sent through and we never got a response to our question asking about it, so I'm not sure if they properly monirot their inbox. Luckily we didn't need anything else for the duration of our stay.

• Jenny (5/5): Lovely apartment ruined by large ugly pool reconstruction, this is no resort. - The apartment is very well stylish and comfortable , from this aspect you will not be disappointed, however, you need to read the fine print as the large central pool area you overlook is a large construction area with the pools being completely rebuilt. If you are comfortable with the ugliness and construction noise and the complete lack of any Resort type amenity and pools go for it. The large ugly pool construction which was not highlighted when booking. The owners need to be far more explicit in their description and photos as to the impact of the pool rebuild, and stop describing this as an Upmarket RESORT. The Oaks is tired and with the whole core of it a construction site.

Huge apartment with 3 rooms all with own bathroom & toilet. 2 spas’s in the apartment also for added luxury not to mention how comfortable the bed was. Like sleeping on a cloud. The fridge also was large enough to accommodate large quantities of food & drinks. I couldn’t stay longer.

The room was immaculate, so clean and tidy when we arrived. The beds were super comfortable, and we were surprised to find we actually had 3 bathrooms which was awesome for 6 adults! The size of the apartment and dining table/lounge area was perfect for a large family! Minor issue but it would have been handy to have an extra key/swipe card or 2, we had people ducking in and out all throughout the day but needed a key for the electricity so someone had to go down to ground to let others back in etc.

• Melinda (10/5): A relaxing stay in a beautifully appointed apartment. Geoff and Lou have thought of everything and the feel is luxurious - Beautiful quiet location with a pretty view. The rooms were stunning and equipped with luxurious items. The whole apartment felt spacious and for the first time, our teenagers didn’t fight over rooms, because each was beautiful. Unfortunately the pools were under construction.

• Jacqueline (6/5): not happy with the misleading advertising on Booking.com - The apartment was lovely. when we booked it was after looking at the most beautiful pictures of the room and more importantly the facilities. the outdoor area and pool pictures were plentiful and very impressive. however many times we scrolled through we did not see any indication that the pools were under construction and the whole outdoor area was out of bounds. No sun beds to relax etc.. when we contacted the owner we were told that it was clearly stated in the pictures that the work was underway. The notice was in fact a little box with tiny writing. I don’t believe was there prior to our booking. if it was it was not noticeable at all. Following our complaint and after I messaged, we then saw that the whole booking .com ad had been changed( this happened on Monday 19th Dec. we arrived on Sunday 18th. We feel we were misled totally. Our short break was ruined, as my Husband is severely disabled and we were dependent on him being able to float in the pool. something that helps him enormously. booking.com are still advertising other apartments in this property with no mention of the pools being out if use and that the outdoor area is a construction site. disappointed does not come near to how we feel. we came home deflated
• Mitch (9/5): Excellent Hosts, great facility, location, and 3bedroom 3bathroom unit was a winner for 3 couples. - The views from the unit were excellent and the central location allowed you to walk everywhere. Having a cafe and bar below in the complex was also very convenient.
