• Helen (9/5): Superb - Ana was a brilliant host. There was nothing she wouldn't do for us. Very friendly and good person. The apartment was very clean and the bed so comfortable. Great Aircon also. Would definitely recommend. We discovered the amazing bar in the rock right beside us. Amazing views. The old town was amazing. All the little streets were quirky and enchanting. At first we struggled with the steps but this was due to poor health and lack of exercise. As the week went on we were getting better and really pleased with ourselves. So we hope to continue with exercise and next time we go we will be flying up the steps.

• Cyrille (4/5): No space to put toiletries or luggage, dirty and damp. Not recommend. - There is no room in the bathroom to put your toiletries, as well as there is no room to put your towels. You can only put them in the 'kitchen'. The bathroom sink moves, there are empty soap canisters in both sink and shower. It's moldy in the bathroom. There is no room to put your suitcase. Because of the lack of room the bar seats for the kitchen were already put to the wall before we even arrived. There were hairs in the bed upon arrival. You can't lock the door and keep the key inside (ice) because then the electricity and lights won't work since that fob is attached to the door key. We visited in September and it was still quite hot in the room and smelly. The location is good if you want a quick dip in the sea as it's close to the passages in the wall to sea, however for us it was way too far up all the steps and close to the wall if you just want to stay in the city center you can find places with lesser distance and steps. Honestly we don't get why this is rated so high on Booking. Maybe by non seasoned travellers. The list of things that are just below average is to long. Would not recommend at all. I've even taken more photo's of the mold and dirt then I cab upload here. Says it all.
• Joan (9/5): An amazing opportunity to discover and explore the Old Town of Dubrovnik - Great location in the Old Town. We were central to everything the great city had to offer! My suggestion to the host, is to have complimentary water...for all the steps you have to climb and for the intense heat during this time of the year. Also, simply stating that the TV is a smart TV, clues the guest that you can access the internet and watch at least "youtube" in your country or language of choice.

• Michelle (9/5): Great Apartment, very central - Place is meticulously clean with everything you need. Communication with the owner was excellent. Very central location, there are steps up to the apartment but there is everywhere in Dubrovnik. I would stay again but only if I was on my own. It's quite small upstairs, perfect for one. The bedroom is down a reasonably steep staircase to the bedroom basement but I could see that from the pictures and I was expecting this. The air con was excellent. The apartment has a kettle, microwave, fridge and hob. You could sometimes smell tobacco in the basement room, not sure if this was coming through the vent and occasionally a mouldy type smell but again this was only occasionally and didn't hinder my stay. You could also hear the occupants next door but if you turn on the ventilation/ air con you couldn't hear anything and I found the sound drowned out everything which was perfect for me.
• Michelle (9/5): Perfect apartment in the Old Town - Excellent facilities and very central. Would recommend. Immaculately kept wolith a nice few touches, toiletries for you to use etc. Nice towels. Seating area at the back table and two chairs for you to sit and eat outside. Communication qoth the owner exceptional by WhatsApp so easy. Perfectly located. 5 mins walk down to restaurant and bars. 10 mins to Pile Gate Perfect stay, I would book again. The only window is like a shutter window upstairs off the kitchen and bathroom area but you do have people walking directly past the window, so not private but there is a window seat. A tea towel would have been useful in the kitchen area, there was nothing to dry dishes and cutlery with.

• Ellie (10/5): Perfect - Perfect location right in the centre of the old town, 2 minute walk from the buza bar (must visit) helped us right out as when we arrived in dubrovnik we were let down by the orginal apartment we had booked, villa madonna were ready and welcoming us within the hour, very clean room with all amenities needed, very easy to contact the host and was also very responsive, would definitely return and also recomend to others. Cannot fault anything.

We were close to everything we wanted to see in Dubrovnik. We didn't have a chance to eat breakfast because we left the property too early both days, but I'm sure it was lovely.
