- JenMPhoto (10/5): - Beautiful home, with big bedrooms. Amazing location close to the heart of town and Sovereign Hill. Quiet neighbourhood. Nothing, it was amazing.
- Wil (8/5): -
- Honnie (8/5): - We loved the closeness to attractions, the shower was fantastic, appeared to be clean, free wifi and large flat screen TV. Large bedrooms were nice, worh a large bed in each and split system in each room. Basics in kitchen. Cozy house overall for the price and age. Lounge room air-conditioning didn't work, no smoke detectors, and lack of kitchen necessities such as a tea towel to dry your dishes, a clean dish sponge and some more pots to cook in. No access to a yard in back and front needed a bit of tidying - mowing. Water system appeared to have no regulator on it as way too hot.
- Melissa (5/5): Needs work - Great location Not very clean , heater in lounge did not work, very untidy on the outside. Toilet blocked every-time someone used it lucky the owner left a plunger right beside the toilet….
- Emma (5/5): Unfortunately good experience let down as not cleaned after previous stay, lack of communication. - Nice large home in a good location at a fair price. 2/3 beds were slept in from previous tenants. Large pile of used towels were in the bathroom. Urine on the back of the toilet. Insufficient toilet paper. Attempted to contact owner on number they provided but had no response.
- jojo (5/5): - Location was good House was very untidy. Shower was dirty, fridge and table were dirty on the outside. Heater in lounge did not work. Lawns were overgrown and weeds everywhere bedding felt dirty. Not enough crockery l
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Christos (8/5): Better than expected - Spacious comfortable home has been partially renovated, needs a bit more work
- Didee (6/5): OK Stay - Location was great. Kitchen was good. Ok for 3 men to stay in. It was probably fare for what we paid. the outside was run down, grass overgrown, gates broken, meter box torn down so it looked a bit derelict. House was older inside than we expected after seeing the photos on line.
- Jingying (8/5): - The holiday house is in a very convenient location, close to the centre of Ballarat. All three bedrooms are spacious and each room has air conditioning, which made our stay very comfortable. Overall, it is excellent value for money and we had a great stay.
- Rowe (6/5): Ok stay - The house was basic, clean and comfortable There were no smoke alarms, no remote for the living room aircon. The yard was very untidy the outside appearance in not welcoming at all .
- Tayla (7/5): Comfortable but loud noises from the man road - How spacious the rooms were.
Our poor daughter was unwell we are grateful there were plenty of towels to help Aircon in lounge room didn’t have a remote. There was a car in the driveway and clothes hung up in the back room which made us think we were at the wrong place.
- Handyman (8/5): - Clean Parking
- Chris (4/5): Ok, but the non functioning A/C led to the low rating. - For our needs the location was fine. We had to contact the hosts on the morning of arrival regarding key/entry details. Would have thought this should have happened a day or so earlier.
Main problem with property was that the A/C in the main living area did not work. Not too good on a 35C degree day. Also, given the prompt in the above "What did you like" regarding breakfast, with this booking no breakfast was provided, and there was a lack of any condiments eg cooking oil, salt, pepper,...
- Mckenna (9/5): -
- Kerrie (5/5): - The kitchen wasn't very well equipped. Could do with more than 1 saucepan and more utensils. The bathroom wasn't clean.
- Amy (9/5): - Great location, great property. Felt very much at home. All at a great price. Couldn't say there was anything I didn't like about my stay.
- Chloe (10/5): -
- Peter (2/5): Poorly described and the owner refused to help and answer calls to rectify an issue. - Great location and the property was clean The property was incorrectly described with no pull out sofa bed as advertised and conformed in discussions with the owner prior to travel. Very poor and when we attempted to follow this up he refused to answer our calls.
- Wayne (8/5): The property was ideal for our 2 night stay - Location central. Comfortable beds in big rooms. There is a lot of traffic on this road so quite noisy.
- Guest (10/5): -
- Lee-Ann (9/5): Would stay again when I have a chance - Roomy The pillows to soft
- Amy (8/5): Great big house with spacious bedrooms. Could do with some upgrades but a nice cosy holiday home for winter, great locat - Great sized house, heating in all the rooms was great. Nice comfy beds, good shower and liked the heated lighting in bathroom, comfy couches. Tv was good with all the apps The floorboards were very cold but we were there in the middle of winter. Lots of cords sticking out in the lounge room particularly, which is hard with little kids. The tv aerial was also tricky to get right so we could watch the tv. There was some splatter marks on the walls. The soap in the shower was men’s, maybe left over from previous tenants? Half open shampoo and conditioner tubes were left in shower and on bathroom counter. The shower door slammed loudly against the door a lot too.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Beds Need a better tv antenna. Some saucepans would be handy
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chyanne (1/5): Worst experience ever - Absolutely nothing, worst experience I’ve ever had through booking.com We arrived to find the house had not been cleaned and looked like the bathroom/kitchen hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. I let the owner know to which he said the cleaners would come fix it but never did. I then called again to find out what the go was and never got a response. This is currently being investigated by booking.com.
- Glen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (7/5): Great location regarding going to Eureka Stockade and Sovereign Hill. -
- Katrina (6/5): Pleasant - Spacious house, heating in all the bedrooms.
- Lobo (7/5): Good -
- Rosemary (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (8/5): Was really happy with our stay. Nice, comfortable house at an affordable price - Liked the location, the size of the bedrooms, extra large shower was fantastic. All bedrooms had split system aircons. Really happy with our stay. The only one complaint I have was the pillows were extremely uncomfortable. As we had forgotten to pack our own pillows, we decided to go to Harris Scarfe & buy some pillows so that we had comfortable pillows on our 2nd night stay. Other than that though, we were very happy with our stay.
- Rachael (9/5): Great location - Great location and great size home. Could use more single pillows, not one long one. House had reverse cycle air cons and was well equipped. Close to all tourist locations
- Sallyanne (3/5): Disappointed, needs greater attention to detail. - It was a good location We arrived in the dark, and the porch light did not come on, so it was hard to enter the code in the code box.
There was an open, quarter-drunk water bottle on the bench.
There was food in the fridge from previous occupants.
There was only one plate and 3 bowls.
Overall, the place was clean enough, but the kitchen needed attention.
The towels need to be of a better quality.
- Grant (7/5): Good - Around good value and comfort
- Naomi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (7/5): Good location. Very basic house - Location Very clinical. We stayed on Christmas Eve and thought the owner could have added a bit of cheer but it was basic with nothing. Very bland
- Lisa (7/5): Some improvements can be made to make a more comfortable stay. - The house was nice No top sheet on the beds, also alot of traffic noise. There were dishes left on a drying rack and one of the bins in the bedroom still had rubbish in it.
- Mitchell (6/5): Pleasant -
- Barnwell (4/5): Disappointing - Very comfortable beds. Bathroom sink not clean and no plug.
Insufficient cutlery.
Dirty cups and glasses.
Back door blocked and unusable.
- Shelby (5/5): Good for big groups just needed a very good deep clean would we stay again, probably not. - Big space Very unclean, toilet had pee all over seat, shower / bathroom looks like never been clean, beds looked like they had been slept in, front lawn long, no railing on stairs,
- Karlie (9/5): Superb - Nice size plenty of room Just needs more kitchen utensils ect
- Terrance (9/5): Superb -
- Melanie (1/5): Not at all Cosy cottage more like putrid - Not alot really. The shower had good water pressure. Otherwise very average. Putrid bathroom, shower was terribly slippery due to soap all over floor. Lacking kitchen accessories for a meal. Light switches that blow the fuse. Dirty throughout house. If this was a rental property, it wouldn't meet minimum standards, let alone receive over $200 per night.
- Kellie (8/5): Great value for money -
- Cheuk (10/5): It is in the heart of Ballarat and close to everything we need. -
- Christine (7/5): Very appropriate for what our needs were - I had to call owner for the correct key code on the lock box. I had my elderly mother with me, maybe a ramp entrance at the rear door. As I see they are still doing renovations.
- Nick (8/5): Very good -
- Jaspal (10/5): Exceptional - Value for money
- Cheryl (10/5): Great it meet with all or needs - Great location close to town
- Karmen (9/5): Superb - Everything and the location to the city centre is also near. Is a very comfortable, clean and has everything. However, driveway is a bit narrow.
- Leilani (5/5): If it was maintained and cleaner would be a good spot but probably would not stay again. - Tv had no reception for live TV channels.
No garbage bags in the bins
House was not very clean remote for the TV was under the lounge, when we found it there was filth under the couch,
The bathroom had hair in the sink and was not clean.
The microwave was dirty, and fridge smelt very mouldy.
- Mullaivendhan (9/5): Superb - Property set at centre of town with easy access to stores and amenities. Equipped with kitchen and Laundry.
