Guest Reviews
- Georges (10/5): Perfect position, a little pricey when you look at the bedroom and bathroom. Bath is not really user friendly- too deep - Large flat, great position in centre of Braddon with parking .Bedroom and bathroom have an unusual layout which makes it awkward to get around. Not a great design. Layout of the bed and bathroom.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsten (8/5): Fantastic location, stylish apartment – a few comfort issues - We stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment in Canberra and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is absolutely perfect - right in the heart of Braddon, just a short stroll to all the great pubs, cafes, and restaurants. It made getting around incredibly easy and enjoyable.
The apartment itself is nicely styled and well-fitted out, with thoughtful touches and a clean, modern feel. Self check-in was smooth and straightforward, and having free secure parking was a big bonus. It was great to see the host has taken some feedback on board and added a bedside lamp, which was appreciated. The bedroom is quite small and doesn't fully close off from the rest of the apartment, which affects privacy. The bed is a small double and wasn’t comfortable for two adults - definitely something to consider if you're traveling as a couple. The bathroom setup could use improvement too, as the shower isn’t separated from the rest of the space, causing water to go everywhere, which can be quite hazardous. A shower curtain or screen would make a big difference.
Another minor issue was the washing machine - it wasn’t intuitive to use and had no instructions, which made it tricky to figure out the settings
- Ritaz (9/5): Great location but bedroom is small for two people - The bed in the bedroom is small for two people and the whole bedroom is small. Great location could walk Into town easily. Spacious and convenient but the bedroom was the only problem.
- Joel (9/5): Peaceful apartment in a great location -
- Jill (9/5): Excellent location with easy access to places to eat and a good park close by to walk our dog. - Great location. Easy access to lots of cafes and restaurants. A short walk to the city centre. Great park near by to walk our dog. Lovely clean interior and nice apartment block. No coffee machine, but instant coffee provided.
- Adrien (9/5): Superb -
- Talis (8/5): Very good - The location, apartment size, fixtures such as TV and kitchen appliances, helpful owner. The bed is not comfortable and very small.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Relaxing, with everything at your doorstep. - Very Central.
Lots of restaurants to choose from.
Clean and tidy apartment with everything you need.
Lovely big bath tub.
For a pet friendly place it was very clean, we had no allergies.
Living area is very relaxing with a comfy couch. Bed could be comfier, but wasn't bad.
Add some decor on the balcony like fairy lights to make it more enticing.
Some info on the area, such as brochures would be nice inside the apartment.
A couple more items in the fridge would be great.
Higher quality shampoo and toiletries would be nice.
- Tim (9/5): Superb -
- Clyde (7/5): Good short stay - All was good and great communication with the host. The bed was a bit uncomfortable for me as well as the pillows.
- Tracey (6/5): Rear facing studio apartment looking at power cables - Great location to access pubs, cafes, restaurants and food trucks within a short walk.
Having a safe parking spot
Was a quiet apartment Access was delayed due to problems with both the lockbox and the fobs resulting in us walking up two flights of stairs with luggage and a dog. Directions to car parking spot are incorrect and need a photo and better instructions. None of the normal items included- no coffee, tea or sugar, towels were musty, no washing powder for the listed washing machine. Must be a few apartments owned by same person we were in a similar apartment but faced the rear and over the pub. The bathroom is a hazard as the shower wets a lot of the floor and takes awhile to dry. The bed pushed up into the corner wall makes it hard for that person to get out of the bed plus no bedside table area.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - Great property in a fantastic position. It is quiet, in a residential building. Only addition needed is a coffee machine !
- Stefanie (8/5): Brilliant location, great apartment - Amazing location, near Lonsdale Street restaurants, easy to access and central to everything. Very tidy apartment, friendly building, parking on site was brilliant. Will likely stay again. The bed was uncomfortable, and I had to fix about half of the slats as they kept falling down. This is the only downside to an otherwise perfect stay.
Rubbish room was a little hard to locate in a hurry in the morning of check/out. A little photo of the door to access would make it easier for other guests.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was beautiful very spacious absolutely loved my stay
- Jade (7/5): Good - Not enough towels, bed was uncomfortable, bathroom fan not adequate filled the room with steam and wet my clothes and the walls, open shower which allows water to flow all over the floor, dishes were a little dirty, but over all it was ok
- Avatar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caleb (9/5): Clean and modern apartment in the city. Enjoyed a relaxing bath while there. -
- Barbara (7/5): Good -
- Cameron (5/5): Braddon with some issues - Location was very good. Good access to restaurants and a 10 minute walk to shops. The apartment had a lovely big living area but the bedroom was small with a double bed pushed against a wall to make room. There was no shower screen in the large bathroom, so water went everywhere. No spare towels, the pillows too high and holes in the edge of the top sheet on the bedding. Overall the place could have been cleaner with particular attention to the laundry area.
- Julie (8/5): Excellent would book it again. Thanks - Very well designed and good facilities Bedroom was a bit tight for two but we managed
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karyn (10/5): Lovely comfortable apartment - Hosts instructions were very confusing and unclear.
- Ian (9/5): A great property in a superb location - Great location and a lovely well appointed apartment Parking arrangements a bit confused and not clear enough
Didn’t help with road works
- Cassandra (1/5): Bad - The host allowed us to check in early which was nice and the location was excellent The place was covered in dust, food scraps in the sink and the sound of road works was so loud. With the one door on the balcony as the only window, we had to leave it open. We decided not to stay as we weren’t comfortable. Wouldn’t recommend, the bed was tiny and sloped, no air or much natural light.
- Christine (9/5): Everything was as we expected, clean, comfortable and excellent position for major attractions. -
- Gudrun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey-lee (3/5): Average - Location I didn’t like the bathroom or the bedroom, and the fact when you went out on the balcony or overlooking the pub
- Dodie (10/5): Perfect location for a Canberra experience - The location was central. It was dog friendly with a large balcony The bed was a double
- John (7/5): Good location - Great location and roomy apartment with secure parking. Good linen. For a supposedly upmarket apartment, there were no coffee maker, wine glasses or bathroom shelving.
- Brody (8/5): Very good -
- Gregory (10/5): Great location, very clean and modern. - Great location, so clean tidy and modern.
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Brendan (8/5): Very good -
- Rachel (10/5): Comfy studio apartment in the heart of Canberra. - It was a great apartment to stay in for a few days to catch up with family. Close to so many good walks for my dog and great food places for me. Because it's called Abode I thought it was part of the Abode chain - so I thought it was going to be a hotel with a concierge.
- Gary (8/5): Very good -
- Samantha (9/5): Superb -
- Lydia (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): Great stay, we’ll definitely stay there again - Great spot, clean, quiet , lovely bath, well maintained , good underground car park Nothing! Except a bedside lamp would be a welcome addition
- Paul (8/5): Unbeatable location, lovely apartment. - Excellent location - I love the walkable neighbourhood and convenience to the city is fantastic. Easy access to apartment and underground parking with key fob. Lovely morning sun on balcony. Sound proofing from external noise is good. Plenty of storage. Excellent thermal efficiency - barely needs heating. Very comfortable dining and living areas. I could live here! Minor things only. Loud automatic bathroom exhaust fan (cannot the controlled manually - takes some time to switch itself off). Lack of shower screen is convenient but makes for a wet bathroom floor that needs careful sidestepping. Door missing on laundry cupboard means noise from washing machine travels. Plug for the kitchen sink does not seal properly. Bed flush against the wall makes it difficult to make in the morning.
- Aliza (10/5): Excellent property. Would love to stay again. - Really lovely, well appointed property. Immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. Great value for money in a fantastic area of Canberra. Will definitely stay here again. No coffee machine… but lots of great coffee shops close by. Would love a bigger bed, but it was as described and was extremely comfortable. Can’t really fault the property at all.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Good location

- Anonymous (10/5): Suited our overnight travel needs perfectly - Location, pet friendly, very clean and well presented I’m not so good with key locks.
