• sharon (7/5): Great hotel but not for a base to explore the city, too far out - The location isn’t far outside of the city but due to traffic it took up 44 mins to reach events in the city centre, on booking.com it said it was a 15 min ride, this was not true at best late at night it was a 25min journey. The hotel itself is very nice, immaculately clean, good facilities, friendly staff except in the restaurant they were slow and understaffed so you wait around a lot to get drinks or your initial order taken. The bed was extremely comfortable like sleeping on a cloud, great pillows and the linen is of a very high quality. Room service options were very limited and disappointing though. We did enjoy our stay but I wouldn’t pick it again just because of the hassle getting in and out of the city centre.

Depuis notre chambre au 6ème étage, nous avons profité d'une vue superbe Les piscines, tant intérieure qu'extérieure, sont spacieuses et très agréables. La terrasse est particulièrement bien exposée et parfaitement ensoleillée. Expérience décevante : Manque de fiabilité et service non conforme à un hôtel 5 étoiles Je déconseille cet hôtel si vous attendez la rigueur et l'honnêteté propre à un établissement de luxe. Plusieurs points ont rendu notre séjour très désagréable : Manquement aux engagements tarifaires :Nous avions réservé par écrit un transfert pour PortAventura (128 km) au tarif de 300 €. Une fois sur place, la direction a refusé d'honorer ce prix, exigeant 750 € pour la même prestation. Une telle pratique est inadmissible. La directrice a réussi à nous dire que les 300€ était pour un transfert vers l’aéroport! Suite à ce désaccord, on nous a assuré que le train était une alternative "très rapide". Résultat : 3 heures de trajet et une arrivée au parc à 12h30. Une perte de temps totale due à un manque de considération pour le client. Sollicitations abusives du personnel : Le voiturier (Alex) s'est montré extrêmement insistant pour obtenir des pourboires et pour nous forcer la main afin de réserver un restaurant où il semble avoir des intérêts personnels. Ce type de comportement "à la commission" est indigne d'un hôtel de ce standing. (Autre anecdote : sur le dernier jour il n’y avait pas d’eau dans la chambre pendant deux heures) En résumé :Un service qui privilégie le profit immédiat au détriment de la satisfaction et de la parole donnée. Passez votre chemin, il existe de bien meilleurs 5 étoiles dans la région.
• fiona (9/5): luxury stay … chilled vibes and views to die for - stunning property. modern facilities. spa area and pool. tranquil location with amazing views over Barcelona. great outdoor area for relaxing by the pool or on the terrace. white lotus vibes. staff are friendly and service is 5 star the trade off for the location and beautiful property is the distance from Barcelona. the hotel run a shuttle 10am and 4pm but it would be handy to have another one at say 8pm so you can go for dinner. uber is about 35 euros into the city

• Emilie (10/5): Overall, it’s a wonderful place, but takes some planning. I highly recommend Mett and appreciate the staff making our st - Destination in and of itself. Beautiful, tastefully decorated, quality products and services. The restaurants options were too limited. Mostly tapas with seafood and pork which we don’t eat. Also it was very tough to get an Uber or taxi into town. Sometimes we gave up and stayed at the hotel all day (which isn’t the worst since it’s gorgeous and the staff is so nice). Because it’s on a hill, walking into town wasn’t really an option. Would be great if the hotel offered bicycles and vespas. Lastly it would have been great to have outdoor heaters so we could enjoy the views in the evening and our terrace as our stay was in spring where the temps were 40 to 60 Fahrenheit with constant wind.

• AcerFrance (6/5): "A quiet luxury hotel on a peaceful hilltop" - but don't forget the theme park next door and the loud piped music ... - Promoted as a "peaceful, quiet, luxury hilltop retreat" we arrived to discover a theme park next door! In addition the whole hotel, the restaurants and the terraces are filled with loud computer generated music from early morning to late night. Loud enough to invade the rooms and loud enough to make conversation in the restaurant and bar awkward. We had specifically requested a quiet suite. The Suite we were shown to had muzak coming from the terrace below which meant we could not possibly enjoy the Suite's terrace and the shrieks from the theme parks roller coaster just next door were just disconcerting. It seems like an "own goal" to promote a peaceful, quiet setting and then fill it with unwanted, self generated noise with thuddy deep base sounds. We complained, and were given another, but much smaller room on the far side of the hotel. This room needed basic maintenance. The a/c did not work and stayed on "hot", so our first night was spent in an overheated room. The washbasins' plugs were stuck open and the bidet plug stuck shut. The curtains had holes in them. There was no shutter on the bathroom window, so thanks to only glass doors we were woken up by daylight streaming into the bedroom at about 06.00. Better lighting would have been appreciated. For the whole stay one of the two lifts shuddered and banged as it moved and the doors only reluctantly slid back at their second attempt. It should have been taken out of service or mended. A hilltop retreat means you expect to not have to leave the hotel during your stay if you do not want to. On our three night stay the main restaurant was closed for two of the nights. The remainingTapas restaurant was good, but not enough choice for our stay, so we taxied down the hill to eat. For a return trip to the nearest part of Barcelona budget about €50, for a trip to the port say €90. The hotel shuttle does one trip a day to one location leaving at 10.00 and returning 16.45. No good for a dinner reservation and not everyone wants to spend nearly 9 hours walking around Barcelona. Seems like a wasted resource. Breakfast was disappointing. I ordered the toasted ham and cheese sandwich. It took about 25 minutes to arrive and was stone cold. (It looked like it had come out of a packet). Day 2 we ordered "American Pancakes" After the 25 minute wait they arrived and were not American Pancakes but cold pieces of what looked like sponge cake - again looking like they were out of a packet. On check out we were charged for three items from the minibar which we had not taken. They were deducted and I did ask how they could possibly charge €50 for a half bottle of Chablis, but no answer! After all these problems I thought the manager might speak to me on check out - but no one appeared. I asked about the excessively loud music - and the answer was "I know, but they want it". Presumably "they" do not pay to stay at the hotel to enjoy the peace? Finally, we did actually have a good, if not great stay, thanks to the amazing staff who were friendly and as helpful as they could be.

Very good soundproofing. I did not hear any noise whatsoever. The only time i heard noise was outside on the balcony, bearing in mind Tibidabo attraction park is nearby, you can hear screams from people on the rides during its opening times. But this can't be heard inside the room with the windows closed Porters take your bags to room and room service is provided well complimentary for small things i asked for like boiling water (there was no kettle in the room) Gym and spa is absolutely immaculate like ones you'd see in Dubai, just a little smaller Very good experience. The only downsides are minor, there was no information provided in the room about Wifi connection so when i arrived i was without connection for 30+ minutes until receiving Whatsapp communication with details. The hotel works through whatsapp and reply with queries fast, but there could easily be a QR code in the room or leaflet with info which there was not. There is not good 5G or 4G reception in the area so Wifi is essential. Service was a little excessive and i felt like i couldn't be left alone without someone trying to help me Complimentary welcome drinks are included at check in and someone takes you to your room with drinks. I got martinis and they were both absolutely undrinkable and got thrown out There were a few small maintenance issues in the room at check in which were fixed by maintenance within an hour, but they were things that should have been resolved when room was cleaned before i arrived, such as shower fittings hanging off the wall and not screwed in right and some lights not working, just further delayed my relaxation time Pool and spa is only open certain times but we had no idea when those times were as there was no info in the room, so had to text the whatsapp hotel number to ask Of course the location of the hotel is a little remote being at the top of tibidabo mountain, there is nowhere to buy groceries aside from a tourist gift shop at Tibidabo church, obviously highly priced. So you either have to bring things with you, or rely on the hotel providing food. Or take a 25 minute taxi ride down the mountain. There seemed to be some shuttles provided by the hotel at certain times but they werent convenient for me and i used Uber Would be a very good place to stay purely for relaxtion if you don't want convenience of exploring the city every day. if you want to get away from the city and enjoy the spa and quiet and hotel restaurant then it is perfect

• David (10/5): An absolute dream with a view over Barcelona that’s simply to die for! - The location and the venue are absolutely exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of our stay. The staff is lovely and the beds were super comfortable! The minibar was very pricey, which was a bit of an issue on new years as the restaurant was packed and the restaurants in the city far away.
• Rui (7/5): - A vista é deslumbrante. O restaurante está fechado à segunda-feira. Tivemos que almoçar e jantar petiscando no bar. A musica no bar estava muito alta. Mesmo estando o nosso quarto no terceiro andar, ouvíamos a musica e não conseguimos descansar durante a tarde.

• Dr.Hugo (6/5): Mottagandet via manlig receptionist gjorde att vi fick negativ inställning, tyvärr. - Läget och vacker byggnad Manlig personal i receptionen sent på kvällen var bedrövlig för ett femstjärnigt boende. Mottagandet vid bilen superb👍

• Brigitte (8/5): Luxushotel mit technischen Schwächen - Tolle Lage hoch über der Stadt,äußerst nettes aufmerksames Personal, schönes Zimmer,angenehme Athmosphäre ,sehr schöner großer Pool, beeindruckendes Gebäude mit Tradition Verdunklung des Zimmers unzureichend, Raumtemperatur im Bereich des Innenpools jetzt im Winter viel zu niedrig ,Belüftungsprobleme erfordern dort offene Dachluken,so dass Außentemperatur am Innenpool herrscht

• Olga (7/5): Слишком много нюансов… - Великолепный вид из окна. Хороший бассейн. Массаж-один из лучших, который я делала! Приветливый персонал, отличная работа менеджеров на ресепшен, менеджеров ресторана, официантов. Старались максимально быстро решать все вопросы. Высокая клиентоориентированность. Ужасный санузел в номере. Взяли номер повышенной категории с террасой, рассчитывая на определенный комфорт. В результате поселили в номер для людей с ограниченными возможностями. Санузел в нем был настолько некомфортный, ощущение пребывания в больнице, огромное, холодное пространство без двери. Дополнял впечатление разбитый пол в душевой . Полотенцесушитель протекал, в результате на полу постоянно была лужа. Полочка для шампуня прибита криво.Утром так и не дождались теплой воды в душе. Кроме того, плохая работа персонала house keeping. Табличка « просим убрать номер» провисела до вечера. Вечером вообще никто не заходит, хотелось хотя бы, чтобы на ночь приносили воду. В номере только гигантские халаты, карманы находятся на уровне коленей! В целом, отель, конечно, не соответствует сети LHW. Слишком много нюансов, к сожалению…
