• Kathy (8/5): Went for a relaxing vacation & to experience over water cabins! I’d do it again.. - Liked that it was an island - no hustle & bustel, everyone was very friendly! Met a lot of very nice people ( staff & guest) we asked for a table and 4 chairs in my room and they did accommodate us and found out 3 days into my stay they do have mini fridges and they brought one to my room . It was my husbands birthday while we was there and they baked him a cake and decorated. Even did happy bday song… Little disappointed that for an all inclusive we did not have more of a variety or choices as far as meals, ( I do not like Spivey foods at all.) But they did accommodate me. They need to upgrade air conditioner in Toucan hut as it is not really big enough for that room and the humidity. Also they really need to put a Mimi fridge in each and every room. And maybe change the hours of the breakfast lunch & dinner times. ( I did get food poisoning the night before I left ) Maybe a few more scheduled activities for like the hours after dinner. ( nothing to really do with, no tvs in room, so we played cards every night…
• Christine (10/5): Looking forward to our next stay. - The property was clean with daily maid services and the grounds were well maintained each day. The staff stayed on the property so if you needed anything they were available. My husband has a shellfish allergy and is a vegetarian, and I don’t like seafood. The chef prepared delicious meals for us each meals. There’s nothing I didn’t like.

• Karl (7/5): Exclusive/isolated resort but tricky to get to and from and can use some organization - The views here are amazing and the small size of the island and limited guests offers quiet and privacy you can’t get at a large resort. Food was excellent and the chef was out every night to see what everyone thought. Compared to the other nearby islands, Thatch Caye was much more maintained and clean. The staff is amazing, but no one really seemed to know what to do or when. Three bars and many times, we found no one tending any of them but also, a group of employees on break that just stare at us. Related to this, no clean beach towels available so we asked for them and they brought out two, never replenishing the clean towels. Many small things like this really prevent them from making it the great experience it could be. The hot water doesn’t last too long in the bathrooms (just enough for a quick shower). The exterior and interior doors need to be replaced on most of the cabins as they are not watertight/private (see photo of our room flooding during a rain storm). They also allow bugs of all kinds in, due to large gaps and warping (we had several friendly, barking lizards that we had a hard time relocating back outside). I’m no tech expert, but the wifi could really use an upgrade, in terms of range. It’s isolated to the checkin area and the covered area down by the beach & could be extended with some effort. There is a cell tower on the neighboring island, but I can’t attest to signal strength as I never used cellular there.

Our trip was made special because of the excellent service by Charles the kindest and sweetest guy who will go out of his way to make you feel special, Kumal the Ast. Manager who welcomes you with a smile and knows how to have a good time, Jr. & Dan the best bartenders and jokesters, Monique & Shakira the sweetest ladies and the wisest man Rafi and his team! Thanks to them and the rest of the staff, our honeymoon was exceptional. They truly treated us like VIP. A BIG thank you to them. Needless to say, our bungalow and the view speaks for itself. We walked outside our bungalow and saw stingrays, shark and spectacular fish. This was the most relaxing trip we've had. I recommend this resort to anyone!

And the activities especially the snorkelling and the very warm welcome from the team! This is an exceptional place to stay and there is nothing we didn’t like.

• Robin (10/5): This place is Paradise. Stay here. - Simply Paradise. Honestly this place exceeded our expectations. From the start we were greeted by the friendly pickup team who supplied a much needed cold beer. Arriving at the island we were stunned by the beauty and how well maintained it is. All the staff were excellent, especially the receptionist, extremely funny and helpful and the chef who crafted us some amazing meals. Our overwater cabana was exactly what it looked like online. just beautiful waking up over the ocean with a sunrise. Aircon, clean, well equipped, comfortable bed and good bathroom. There is a bar, many spots to chill and games should you get bored with relaxing in paradise.
