• Alimae (1/5): Very Disappointed - The fact we could drop off our 2 bags and 2 bottled water. -The room was left open with our bags inside -a note saying don't touch light switch covering the switch use remote -aircon machine in room with big sleeve leading out the window -unmatched paint and patches on the wall -gaps in floor especially around skirting -towels old stain with other color -shampoo conditioner sanitizer left overs for use -towel rail just holding on and no more -we didn't shower because of all this -our water was inside a dirty fridge and unit -the main bathroom had a bucket catching dripping water -the bed very uncomfortable WE HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL for $130 we have had better We didn't take photo's.

• Mee (1/5): ruined half my holiday as has to rebook new place on short notice wasting all nite n all morning loo - what breakfast ? there was none. couldnt leave fast enough. nothing was good. it was a private messy home, i wouldnt touch the food if it was offered free. false advertised as fanily room, it was not. it was just a double bed room, dirty, and discustinf things found on the bed when i lay on it and lay my hands down, objects were getting caught in my fingers, could not notice them before becoz of the pattern on the blanket. airconditioning was not a proper air-conditioner, and was stuck by a short cord and very loud. just blowing the hot air around. the bathroom door was icky with thick slime, you couldnt see it until you touched it to open it. the lady didnt know how to follow instructions when customerservice told her how to refund the rest of the stay as i was leaving. had things to do on that day but wasted it wandering around waiting to check in to new place

Someone's nail clippings on the floor, which was dirty ... Try to.\nHave a shower and someone use the hot water.So I end up having a cold shower and left 3 AM in the morning.Didn't bother staying the extra night.It was hell....

• McLeod (3/5): Rudimentary to say the least but, you get what you pay for. - Location, convenient to shops. Capaccino instant coffee. Reasonable bed. No fridge, no soap holder in shower, coffee maker didn't work, standing light with no bulb in socket and power turned on.

Arrival and entry was difficult Spoke to owner? on phone for entry code for lock box but the conversation was very difficult to understand. Stayed on phone and was guided to our room thru kitchen. Rang owner again soon after because the room we were given had none of the advertised facilities, we were then told wrong room now go upstairs Steep winding stairs to carry suitcases up. Difficult again (to understand) which room to go to, finally found correct room. Light switch didn't turn on any bedroom lights although there were glodes in ceiling. We only had one dull bedside lamp for the whole room. Very cold during the night with only a light doona/bedspread and no other warm bedding in the room. We saw what appeared to be a portable window air conditioner in bedroom corner. Vertical blinds iffy !! Bathroom with toilet and walk in shower very roughly outfitted with just open holes cut into shower wall for the taps. Broken towel rail. Handbasin had some sort of dark brown residue on its edge, maybe glue. We were allowed use of kitchen but declined. The outdoor area with table and plastic chairs was very messy and untidy, again we declined to use that area. Overall not particularly clean.
• Jeff (2/5): A Very dissatisfied Customer - location Very average , The toilet wouldn't refill half the time & dripped water , the tap over the Bath leaked continuously & had a bucket under it to catch the water. no top sheet on the bed & tiny ants on the table . all doors squeaked loudly. Definitely wouldn't return to that property not worth the Money we paid.No way was it a private bathroom , it was full of toiletry products even 2 toothbrushes & false Eyelashes sitting on the bench . sorry we didn't take any photo's. The room looked nothing like the photo you provided in the add .

• Sam (7/5): Perfectly fine for 'clean, cheap and cheerful' but the decor is terrible (you get what you pay for!) - The cost and location...it was cheap, clean, and fairly well located (tram stop just around the corner, so easy to get to Surfers, Broad Beach, etc). The decor was terrible (the paint job, state of the furniture, bathroom, etc). However, it was clean and all worked fine and you do get what you pay for, after all, so I wasn't complaining.

• Dall (10/5): Exceptional - Greetings, Thank you for all. I would like to say that you had I a very good communication with us and that made us felt comfortable in there. It is like quiet and peaceful home. We enjoyed a free cup of coffee we made with the machine you have in the room.It was a very sunny day and I found a perfect ventilation. You also have a ceiling automatic fan plus a an air-con next to the bed ,I would say that was my favourite feature and I also liked that we received a good illumination from the sun because the light comes from both windows. For all of this characteristic I would choose your place for a second time 👍🏾😀
• Alana (1/5): Would not recommend this accommodation - Close and easy to get around The bathroom had a really bad sewerage smell coming from the drain the sink tap leaked everytime it got used there was not even a quarter of a toilet roll there were holes behind the bedroom door the place was a home with other ppl living in the house also no mention of a pet cat so was stuck in the room most the time unless went out

• Sujana (1/5): Bad - Hi booking.com, Its a serious concern. Yesterday i went to the booking area but i could not get the key though the code i entered was right and it was a big problematic for me. Luckily, one good lady helped me to stay at her house for the night if the lady wasn't there i would have to sleep on street. I think you need to consider this one booking as i heard a lot of time this happen to many people which is bad. I will attach evidence if needed . Please consider as soon as possible.Thankyou

Temperature was a bit warm - there is a cooler in the room but it was loud. No communication before arrival which made me concerned that we had the wrong place.

• Colin (8/5): i enjoyed the stay for the stop in Gold Coast area and it was central for what i required . - I I enjoyed my stay at Blue Sky -- bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet at night , only a short drive to Restaurants in Southport -- Hosts were very good and helpful if i require any help . All was pleasant i arrived back in the evenings and was up and gone early in the mornings suited my stay very well and found the host very polite and non intrusive

• Richard (3/5): I would advise future visitors to avoid this property until the above issues have been addressed. - At my book-in time of 2 pm there was nobody at the property and I had to call the owner. She told me that the room was not ready and that she will be at the unit in 20 minutes. The cleaning of the room did not start until after the time I should have been able to book in! I also discovered that my "unit", as indicated in all the documents I received, was not actually a separate area with a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen area, but actually one of the 3 bedrooms in a townhouse. All the bedrooms were upstairs and the lounge/ dining room and kitchen downstairs. The kitchen was actually a shared kitchen. The owner, a lady by the name of Sky, lived and slept in a bed in the lounge/ dining room area. This appears to be a common unwelcome surprise to visitors according to the reviews I have checked since. The details listed on the website require a significant rewrite to correct the situation. The kitchen was in a very unhygienic state. Unwashed dishes sitting in the sink every morning, cooked food in pots still sitting on the stove in the morning and the cutting up board sitting unwashed on the kitchen bench. The presentation of the unit was overall very poor. Lots of old empty(?) boxes stacked in front of the one garage door. The entry was very cluttered and the kitchen unhygienic. The location was pretty good being close to the G-Link stations in Queen and Nerang Streets. The room, once it was cleaned was passable, but the painting should definitely be completed, as it appears one coat was applied with the second coat still to be done. The holes in the wall behind the doors should be fixed. The door to the room can't be locked which is not a good feature. See above. The major issues are the fact that that the website when I booked indicated in no way that the kitchen is a shared area at all. All the documents listed it as a unit entirely on the ground floor. The website must be updated to indicate the details correctly. The other major issue was that the kitchen was very unhygienic. It makes it difficult to use the kitchen when the owner actually sleeps and lives in the downstairs area and one feels as one is invading her area, especially if she is already sleeping or has not woken up as yet in the morning and one wants to go and prepare one's breakfast.

The truth is it is a private unit with no amenities, owned by an Asian lady who is dishonest, not there and not helpful. This property is not as advertised I lost $275. It is impossible to directly contact Booking .com to complain or get help to get my money back. Never again!

Sky show us the place and we had a space on the fridge, the bed is confortable and the room clean. The room is on the second floor so it was kind hard to take up my big suitcase. • Park (3/5): Uncomfortable - No breakfast was offered. The shower drain was very slow draining. On arrival it was not obvious to us this was where our accommodation was. We were not shown any facilities that were available for us to use. The owner had to move her car so there was room for us to park. The parking area was full of bags of rubbish. The whole appearance of the unit was unwelcoming and cluttered. We did not realise we were being given use of a room in a home others were living in. Other people were given use of other rooms in the dwelling at the same time as us. We would not use this type of accommodation again and would certainly not recommend it to anyone.
