• Jessica (5/5): Passable - The location of the apartment is great, it’s central and close to food and is walkable to many destinations within the CBD. However, this was probably the only positive aspect about the apartment. As for what was wrong with the apartment, there are too many to list but here are the top things: 1. When trying to pay the security deposit, the instructions sent across were dated and didn’t align with the updates on the website. Not only that but the bank details provided were incorrect too 2. When trying to check in, instructions were sent across via googledocs. The instructions were dated, it advised that our key would be located inside a mailbox would have a purple tag, which was not present when the mailbox was opened. Upon contacting the owners they advised that the key had a yellow tag. Another thing was that the instructions had conflicting details, for checking in and checking out they key was to be retrieved/placed in the same mailbox. However the instructions had two different pins whereby one of them was incorrect. 3. When we arrived at the apartment there was half a roll of toilet paper on the toilet roll holder and a spare roll in the bathroom vanity. As two females staying for 5 days, this was not enough and we had to purchase our own toilet paper on the last day 4. The TV doesn’t work 5. The toilets weren’t cleaned properly, there was the telltale orange stains of an uncleaned toilet around the rim of the bowel 6. The door to the second bedroom wasn’t a functioning door, it didn’t close properly and it’s off that it’s a frosted door, making it that if one wanted to get changed, they had to me out of the doorway to not be seen 7. There was no sponge and or washing detergent provided to do the dishes 8. The couch was stained, which made us hesitant to sit on it as we weren’t sure where these stains originated from 9. The couch, beds and pillows were uncomfortable which made the stay a bit unpleasant and it caused broken sleep during the evening.
