Guest Reviews
- Matt (9/5): - Well situated property with open sky and plenty of wildlife around.
- Eljamel (10/5): Coziest little home in a fantastic spot - The host was beyond great, once my kindling had run out from the night prior I came back home late at night to the fire pit full of sticks etc that she’d collected for me!
Couldn’t ask for a more cozy little stay in such an amazing spot. Having to leave it…
- Jamilla (8/5): - Cute little stay with a fireplace for those cold nights! It is a bit of a drive from everything tourists would look to do - but that’s a part of being out on property.
- Craig (10/5): Late check in but a lovely time ! - Lovely location , great host communication. Easy to find . Allows dogs which is easy for us with a spoilt border collie . Had everything we needed . We will go again Nothing , very clean and peaceful!
- Sharon (10/5): The most stunning little place away from the rat race! - Perfect in every way! Loads of advice as to where and when to buy food - either to cook yourself or eat out or get takeaway. Such a serene place - one night was not long enough! We didn’t stay longer! Ran out of firewood.
Toilet took some getting use to - but that’s ok!
- UYGAR (8/5): Would definitely stay again - The host was incredibly kind and helpful, and they did everything to make sure our stay was amazing. Internet and phone connection is patchy due to the location (and winds during our stay). Nothing else to report - everything was great.
- Antonia (7/5): Great getaway - Very cute little tiny house in a beautiful place. Could be cleaner, it was very dusty.
- Georg (9/5): -
- Daniel (9/5): - Great to bring the dog and run around the yard! Perfume in bathroom was a bit much, but fine with door closed!
- Szymon (10/5): Beautiful spot - Surroundings Rough/ uneven driveway
- Alison (10/5): The tiny home had everything we needed and more. We woke up to the song of birds every morning. We will definitely stay - It was very private and peaceful Nothing

- Kin Hoong Kenny (7/5): - Quiet and beautiful environment. We couldn’t shower after a long day because no hot water available. Either faulty or run out of gas. Hopefully just that we are not in luck and one time off incident.
- Calvin (10/5): - Private, nice location to catch aurora
- Bin (10/5): Beautiful Views - The location was beautiful with plenty of hiking areas to explore. The views at night was excellent. None
- Gunter (10/5): -
- Chadasapan (9/5): Thank you for your tiny room. I love its - I love tiny tiny room on wheels. The best place for Aurora Australis chasing
I would like to go back to Oppossum bay and stay here again next time.
- Jodie (9/5): Lovely spot with the beach close by and lots of quiet - Unique and beautiful location Another accommodation within view so didn't feel so private.
It is a tiny house, but smaller than expected

- Mia (10/5): Stunning - 10/10 experience! Deborah is absolutely amazing and the tiny home is utterly stunning. Deborah was extremely hospitable and had some excellent suggestions for activities to do nearby; including a fabulous beach walk just 400 metres from tiny home itself. We definitely recommend this tiny home for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Such a relaxing experience! Thank you :) No faults, 10/10!

- Amelia (10/5): - River Ridge is located on a beautiful property in South Arm which overlooks the River Derwent with views of Hobart and surrounding southern towns like Taroona, Kingston and Tinderbox.
The property has everything you need to live simply but comfortably including a beautiful fire pit and hammock outside to relax by / in. The property the Tiny Home is situated on has lots of animal movement (rabbit galore) and bird activity, making it special to watch the beautiful gum trees filled with black cockatoos, galahs, noisy minors (I think?) and rosellas. The split system heating was perfect in keeping the cabin warm, as well as electric blankets in bed to keep you extra cosy. The shower water always remained hot and the pressure was great. The cassette toilet was simply to use and the host was super helpful in emptying once it was 3/4 full. Deborah (host) was extremely accomodating and kind toward us during our stay, checking in often and making sure everything was running well. Deborah was active in assisting us to empty the toilet and changing the gas bottles once empty. Deborah gave us brilliant walking recommendations and must see areas within South Arm and Opossum Bay. She supplied fire wood and other cabin resources promptly when required. Deborah was the most fabulous host and the cabin was absolutely perfect for us during our stay. We would always recommend this stay for others and hope to return eventually to see more of the South Arm. Nothing!

Host acquired great hospitality/ facilities Nothing
- Lesley (7/5): Great spot intesting tiny house well done - Great views Access for carrying fridge and bags could be better
- Thomas (8/5): A great coastal getaway, for those near Hobart or beyond. - River Ridge Tiny House was wonderful! The location is beautiful, with water views either side. The bed was very comfortable and the house had all we needed (cooking utensils, toiletries, etc). This is more a guide for those who stay in future: the cassette toilet mechanism is right below the lid but can be hard to see on first glance. This is what the instructions are referring to for 'right' and 'left'.
Also, just note that the land owners property is just above the tiny house, but it is not visible as the tiny house is tucked into the hillside. The owners respected our privacy (we only saw their car once).
