Guest Reviews
- Lauren (1/5): - Location Most of it!
- Kain (8/5): -
- Kasandra (1/5): Useless. - The location is why I booked the property. I never got to stay due to their cancellation at 11:30am on the day of booking. My cabin got cancelled last minute at 11:30am on the day of check in due to a burst water pipe. Understandably I couldn’t now stay in the accommodation. It left me last minute finding somewhere else for my family to stay for the weekend and I am still awaiting a refund for a stay I never got to have from a cancellation I didn’t make.
- Jessica (1/5): Turned up to find out our booking has been cancelled due to a plumbing issue. Claimed they had rung and left a message I -
- Guest (1/5): Didn't happen - We didn't get to stay at the tourist park. The reception called 1.5 hours into our trip down to say there was a problem with the cabin & had nothing for us. School holidays & halfway into our trip & told no accommodation. Definitely not impressed 😕 Some courtesy & a better explanation with an offer to help find other accommodation.
- Verity (1/5): I was not able to stay here - when I arrived they had no record of my booking. -
- Bailey (1/5): -
- Jasmine (1/5): -
- Coleen (1/5): - We arrived and no one was there we rang and they said they tried to ring there was a problem with our cabin but we didn't get a call they didn't even offer another one the place looked very dodgy I am glad we didn't stay there it should not be on your site it was hard finding to stay as they were all booked out. Top answer is my response for why I didn't like it 😕
- Smallwood (1/5): Horrible do not book - Nothing Horrible customer service, never informed me they never had a cabin until I got there even though I booked it, apparently it was “wet” but they didn’t think to tell me that
- Elyfellopez (8/5): -
- Keira (1/5): We were contacted the morning of our booked check in date advising there had been an issue with the plumbing in the cabi - Would not recommend.
- Karen (6/5): -
- Brooks (1/5): Horrible - never again - Nothing. We turned up to check in and no one was there so I rang the number left on the door and they told
Me that they did not have a room for us as the plumbing had an issue and that they had tried calling me and left a voicemail. I had NO missed calls or voice messages. When I asked the number they called they refused to provide me a phone number so I would jot confirm if they had the right number or not. We had to drive back home to Sydney ending our time away short as we had no where to stay
- Stuart (8/5): - Location A bit old
- Nomad (10/5): -
- Jake (5/5): -
- Teleah (1/5): -
- Diana (5/5): -
- Weston (8/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): - Close to shops and Pub Nil
- Helene (1/5): - Nothing. They did not honour our booking. See above
- Janice Norman (1/5): - When I arrived at 5pm my accommodation had been cancelled due to a plumbing problem.
They said they rang but no missed call or email.
No alternative accommodation had been organised for me. Room cancelled. No alternative accommodation organised.
- Jenni (1/5): Horrid. - Not much other than location It was dirty. Park was overgrown. Cabin was filthy. Microwave had never been cleaned. Fist marks in front door. Steps up to cabin attached by one bolt. Wood on step rotted. Shoe prints on roof inside. Walls filthy. Every light fitting was full of dead bugs. Power pole outside for Cabin had been hit by something and was leaning on 45 degree angle. Thats just some of the issues.
- Thomas (1/5): -
- Elizabeth (5/5): -
- Michael (1/5): Not stay here - Nothing The steps were falling off draws had no handles towels were worn out. Cabin should have been condemned
- RICK (1/5): Poor Management as my booking was unknowingly CANCELLED and was rebooked for someone else! - The owner was rude and arrogant and said there was no booking for me! I was left stranded after a 400km drive with NO ACCOMODATION! Eventually I spotted my name on her computer and I said 'LOOK there's my booking' She said NO that's a Cancelled Booking.I demanded she tell me what day SHE cancelled it but she became obnoxious and would not supply an answer! The crazy thing was that Booking com actually sent me a reminder message of my up and coming booking just two days prior- but draw your own conclusion because I know EXACTLY what she did with my booking! 💥 CAUTION 💥 I would NEVER recommend this place for any future bookings EVER❗❗❗
- gavin (1/5): - Nothing. Everything. The whole place as an absolute mess.
- luke (1/5): Our stay didn't happen, they cancelled the night before we departed. - They called me the night before we left to travel to tell us that they didn't have enough cabins for my families booking even though they confirmed my booking 4 days prior by both email and sms. I was left scrambling to find alternate accommodation with less than 12hrs before we departed. Thankfully I managed to find enough cabins at Dubbo Midstate Motor Park on such short notice.
- Heather (1/5): - Booked 3 cabins months ago, got a phone call and hour before we were due to arrive to be told that they didn't have any accommodation available as they were cutting down trees and one apparently fell on the cabins 3 days earlier. Surely they could have told us when it happened. As it turned out we got 3 cabins at Midstate caravan park Dubbo with an hours notice that were really lovely and a great location. No communication about the fact they had no cabins available after booking them months before.
- Laura (1/5): Booking was cancelled with no notice - Room was cancelled with no notice. I was given a call approx 20 mins before check in but it came up as suspected spam so I didn't answer and no message was left but when I tried to check in they said there was no vacancy at all and booking.com had got it wrong not them. I was also told they tried calling all day. The person who informed me of this was rude and didn't care what so ever that I was stuck with no accommodation. I will never book there again
- Van Hans (1/5): Booked well in advance and offered no accommodation. - I didn't have to pay in advance. I booked accommodation in advance. Arrived in the evening (during business hours), but reception was locked, I tried to call them multiple times and once answered was told there were none available (on the day of check in). There was no acknowledgement of the fact I had a booking, nor was I told if there was alternative accommodation available at their trailer park. Not really surprised considering its the cheapest accommodation in dubbo, but pretty annoying regardless.
- Jennifer (1/5): - Awful.
- Lisa (1/5): -
- Agnes (1/5): - Property manager she is the rudest lady I have ever met!
- Anonymous (1/5): Didn't stay there, told to find somewhere else to stay - Nothing Everything
- Stephanie (1/5): Bad -
- Luna (5/5): Clean Basic Affordable OK Overnight - Convenient quiet at night opposite main shops near big field, river
Clean, Value for money, comfortable bed, basic accommodation suits "crash for the night situation".
Fridge, tea, coffee, milk, microwave, TV, heating The grounds & cabins looks tired and needs tidying & landscaping.
Dripping shower poor flow due to work maintenance nearby reported to manager.
- Noah (3/5): Never again - The b polllpppp in was comfortable No water, mould, smelly, broken electrical points, missing handles, no smoke alarm
This property needs urgent maintenance
- Parwinder (1/5): None - They called and canceled on the spot when only 2 hrs left to reach there. It was very hard for us with little kids to find immediate accommodation. None
- Laura (1/5): Never stay again even though it was the cheapest - Close to shops Shower didn’t work i have chemo wanted 2 hour early checkin they said no so i had to arrive late walk up twice to office trying to pay had to get key from box. Tv didn’t work no batteries in remote we used our own still nothing stayed on 1 station so kids bored no wifi our shower at home blew up so was a main reason to stay was so cold walking to ammenities. No scredns or licks on almost all windows we had to take valuables out to dinner and no yard for dogs why pet friendly on booking it said 2 double bunks not a triple bunk lady working was friendly but did not care to help with shower other then code for ammenities. More blankets would’ve been nice luckily the heater worked ok.
- Yancheng (1/5): Far Below Holiday Lodge Standards – Would Not Recommend - No internet, good for kids. We had a disappointing experience at this holiday park and would not recommend it for a comfortable or safe stay.
The surrounding area felt unsafe, with a construction site located directly behind the house. Inside, the cleanliness and maintenance were far below expectations — the bed linen was not clean, there was no duvet cover, and the mattress was worn out and very uncomfortable.
The kettle had leftover brown-colored water inside, which was quite concerning. The TV remote was broken and unusable. Most frustratingly, the shower was nearly impossible to use — the hot and cold water couldn’t be balanced, and the hot water would stop flowing after about a minute.
We booked through Booking.com, where it was clearly stated that pets were allowed at no extra charge. However, upon arrival, the manager insisted on a $30 "cleaning fee" for our dog, which was not mentioned anywhere during booking.
Overall, the property lacks the basic standards expected of a holiday lodge. Our stay here negatively impacted our trip and we sincerely hope improvements are made for future guests.
- Ben (3/5): We drove on and didn't even stay -
- Sarah (1/5): Bad -
- Anonymous (3/5): Should be closed down doesn’t meet health standards - The manager was helpful friendly, the property, facilities were neglected, unwelcoming, I didn’t feel safe 🤯 As above
- Tonia (1/5): Bad - I booked a cottage. Just to be told last minute they rented it out to someone else
- Debra (1/5): We didn’t even make it into the property.i booked and paid online it’s says book in until 10pm I arrive at 9.30pm there - Nothing Everything the woman I spoke to was disgustingly rude!!
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (4/5): Disappointing - It was a basic room, and the heating worked well. The shower was hard to balance, either too hot or cold. Water pressure was awful. Lots of noise outside throughout the night. Graffiti in the room where the grandkids were sleeping was not appropriate.
- Ana (1/5): Bad -
- Murchie (2/5): We left and went to another place - Central Not secure
- Nathaniel (10/5): Relaxed and happy stay - The owners are beautiful helpful kind gentle souls. Their help was gratefully appreciated. And there's a great cafe in town called the Garden Cafe. Fabulous coffee and yummy foord. Leaving. Lovely people, lovely town.
- Follers (2/5): Very poor - I wasn't totally happy with the place as the heating was bad , the water kept going cold when showering , the blankets were very thin. The door looked like someone had broken in.
- Follers (2/5): Very poor - I didn't like that the shower had no pressure n was going cold constantly. There were thin blankets, and I found a cockroach in the cabin. It wasn't clean n had a hole in the wall, plus the door looked like someone had broken into it once before.
- Youngblutt (6/5): Robs Road Trip - It was alright for the money It was a bit rough. But again what can you exept for the money
- Carlie (2/5): It was not great - The oven was not clean full of dirty stinky fat n crumbs . The shower dripped I had to put something under it so I could sleep . The bathroom door lock was on the wrong side of the door . The bunk windows didn’t lock no screens no curtains . Cabon was just so very unhygienic.
- Walker (8/5): Looking for a home - The cabin was very well stocked with all kitchen supplies. It is a shame that previous guests have damaged the unit in many places it is difficult for the business to keep repairing the damage. I didn't check the area very noisy all night with traffic. That there was only 1 PowerPoint behind the microwave for charging a phone just inconvenient.
- Anonymous (2/5): worst place I have ever stayed. Would not recommend/10. Camping in my swag would have been prefered - - The floor, walls, bathroom, cutlery, and amenities were all dirty. I don't think it has been cleaned in a long time.
The heating didn't work and there was no blankets, luckily a Kmart is across the road. I was able to buy a heater and some blankets.
I used the kettle and a fork from there. I was so sick afterwards. I'm 100% sure something was growing in the kettle / there was bacteria on the fork.
Also, not hot water. So i couldn't have a shower.
- Derec (3/5): Poor - Staff was very friendly, and the cabin was ultimately clean and comfortable. 5 out of 6 windows (inc all 3 kids bunks) could be opened from the outside as they are unable to be properly secured. Ended up placing sticks in at least 4 to stop them from being opened.
- Ally (3/5): Not worth it. - It was close to the shops. The unit was grubby.
The bed was hard and lumpy.
A small heater handed to me barely took the chill off the room.
The shower only dribbled and would not turn off. It dripped all night. The repair work on the floor in the bathroom was very primitive.
The oven was filthy.
The blind above the bed needs replacing.
Nothing over the bunk windows for privacy.
The park was run down, and it looked disgusting.
- Tempe (7/5): Fine budget accommodation - Location and safe parking The door to the toilet didn’t shut.
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad -
- Jodie (4/5): Disappointing - Location and price Park old and room was basic and barely clean. Beds hard as a rock.
- Gina (1/5): Bad -
- Sunita (3/5): I wont recommend anyone. - Staff was good It was very dirty and floor was dirty, as if like they do not clean
- Andrew (5/5): Passable -
- Whiteley (1/5): Bad -
- Tammy (4/5): Disappointing -
- Gazel (3/5): Never experienced this situation before - Only location is good, 2 mins walk to shopping centre Poor management, we booked 2 cabin, one had been cancelled and being notified on the same day of arrival. Electricity over powered during cooking time. All black out for few hours.
- Stephen (8/5): Quite good - Helpful site manager I couldn't get through on the phone
- Ian (6/5): Value for money - The location We had the budget cabin and it was very basic!! Don’t expect anything else!!
- Douch (1/5): It was an uncomfortable dirty and noisy and the floor was falling through the bathroom very unsafe - The toilet was falling through the floor in the bathroom. It was dirty all over.
- Donovan (3/5): Poor -
- Shontia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liz (2/5): Very poor - Location It was very basic, not clean, very small bathroom with soggy bathroom floor, too dirty and small to have shower as there was also a bad smell from the shower. Found rubbish on the window behind the blind, leftover ice cream in the freezer, fridge was not cold, bed was hard.
- Kylie (6/5): Lovely friendly staff and atmosphere. - Lovely friendly staff, unfortunately our shower was broken and our bed was a little harder then we are use to. Overall we were expecting a basic cabin value for money and it was very roomy, had air conditioning and a tv. There were plenty of smiles and friendly guests and vibes from everyone. Check in was fast The shower, a softer bed or bed topper, possibly invest in some newer bedding (although we always use our own bedding).
- Keryn (1/5): Not applicable - I didn’t stay at the property. I booked on line with Booking.com but when I arrived they had no availability. I’ve no idea what went wrong Not applicable
- Allan (2/5): Very poor -
- Clews (1/5): Don't stay here. The worst cabin and park we have ever stayed in. Nothing like the advertised photos - The location The park was very dirty and unkept as were the cabins propped on girders and in disrepair inside and out. Would not recommend staying here and this is from a seasoned travelling family. Disgraceful. Not enough cutlery and crockery for 3 people. Filthy air conditioning vents and benchtop oven. Shower dripped continually and didn't have good flow when trying to shower. Floors were patched with different floorings. Drawings with crayons on the walls but cannot see in photos. Did say no wifi but in this day and age!!
- Darren (2/5): Very poor -
- Jennifer (1/5): Don’t book this place - We didn’t stay there as we were called 2 hrs before check-in to cancel both the cabins we had booked. They had unsolvable sewer issues. They did not help us to find any alternative accommodation and it left us in a stressful situation. We found out it has a really bad reputation and is not somewhere that tourists should be staying.
- Bhabindra (4/5): Disappointing -
- Michelle (4/5): Disappointing -
- Amal (1/5): Bad - I couldn't get what I booked
- Graham (1/5): GAVE OUR ACCOMMODATION AWAY - NOTHING Booked our room early in the day as we were driving, and received our confirmation email. When we arrived that evening we found out our room had been given away. No excuse, or apologies and when we tried to phone they would not answer.
We could not find any other accommodation as it was school holidays and were worried about driving an hour and a half way to the next town as it was getting dark and we have a sedan with no bullbar.
We had to spend the night in the car which was far from ideal for three grandparents, 12 yr old grandchild and our dog.
- Davide (1/5): Bad -
- De (10/5): Breathtaking - Lovely, clean, comfortable Had to wait to check in
- Kate (1/5): Would never stay at this place again, very expensive & very untidy - Nothing Over charged & very untidy
- Naomi (1/5): Bad - We had driven nearly 1000km all through the night to get there and then had to wait until 2pm to access the accommodation. We rang to see if we could get in early and the woman replied we couldn't which was fine except that a woman then rang back at 1pm to say the accommodation was now unavailable due to a water pipe issue, which apparently was days (?) Ongoing! And they had nothing else. Why did they not say that hours earlier when we rang to tell them we arrived in town early and enquired about an earlier check-in?. We then had to keep driving to another town to get accommodation we could afford. Very exhausted and unhappy travellers
- Jennifer (9/5): Fabulous - Both good N.a.
- Romil (5/5): avoid at any cost - Location ok..but very shabby place// shabby [place
- Maurice (1/5): Bad - They cancelled my stay on the day of arrival.
- Amy (1/5): Non existent - Got a call 60 minutes before check in saying they couldn’t accomodate us. Said they had no rooms despite me booking a week in advance
- Nick (1/5): Do yourself a favour and don’t stay here - Nothing Had been booked for over a month, driven 12hrs in a day to Dubbo and get a call 2hrs before check in from the manager saying she didn’t have our cabin available and we would have to find somewhere else to stay. Rude manager. Stayed at Centre Point motel which was very accommodating and comfortable.
- Eileen (2/5): Handy to shopping but amenities were very poor. Showers very slippery 😌 -
- Jes (1/5): Worse place we've ever stayed - The cabin we stayed in was not the one advertised on the website. The cabin was falling to bits, and all of us nearly fell through the floor. The air conditioner was not in working order. The place was unlivable and we requested a refund to which we were passively abused for with the manager saying "no the air conditioner does work" and "it's budget what do you expect" and "no one else complains." When I explained that there's a certain standard for a budget place and myself and my friend should feel say to walk around without nearly falling through the floor I was told "well you thought wrong" I do not recommend ever staying here as this place is a hazard and I don't think it would pass a work health and safety assessment. Also, with how we were treated by management, this place is digusting.
- Jack (4/5): Disappointing -
- Heather (1/5): Overbooking meant we did not stay at this slum. This was a blessing in disguise! - Nothing We were basically turned away on arrival by the host, who had overbooked us. She was very rude . Although the location is great and very central, what we saw needed to be condemned. It looked grotty and unkept. This accomadation option should not be on Booking.com
