• Francisco (7/5): Agradable más no genial - El lugar es súper céntrico, tiene bueno parqueo y restaurante para comer. El desayuno bastante bueno. En general las instalaciones bien cuidadas. Los baños muy pequeños, no tenían toallas de manos, ni basureros en la habitación. El tema de que el A/C solo funcione cuando uno esté en la habitación me parece muy pero muy mal. Uno viene del calor deseando que la habitación esté a una temperatura agradable. La proactividad de servicio casi nula. Me parece que los dueños deben trabajar más en la empatía del personal de servicio y atención de las habitaciones. Adicionalmente los dueños muy amables pero poco proactivos.
• Heather Rae (10/5): We had a great stay for 5 nights and would highly recommend. - Great location, 5 mins walk to the beach. Quiet in the evening, strong AC which is very much needed. Awesome staff and restaurant, the included breakfast was very good. The pool is open until 10pm which is really nice for a night time cool down. No complaints!
• Ashanahan9 (9/5): - Great stay overall. The property is beautiful, the location is amazing, and the rooms are comfortable with strong air conditioning. The food was also excellent. Only downside was the towel situation — one towel per person per day for everything (face, hands, shower), which gets pretty impractical once it’s damp. Aside from that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Abends hat es sogar Sicherheitspersonal zur Aufsicht. Man isst sehr gut im Restaurant. Ein Familienbetrieb. Garnichts auszusetzen. Einzig WLAN ist manchmal schlecht im Empfang.

• Susan Raquel (9/5): ¡De vacaciones por mi cumpleaños! - Viajé con mi familia para celebrar mi cumpleaños, realmente la pasamos muy bien. El hijo del dueño fue muy amable y atento a lo que necesitáramos. Quizás tomar en cuenta un par de detalles, entre ellos, servir el desayuno más temprano para poder sacarle máximo provecho a la mañana; así como mejorar el sabor, la variedad y la cantidad de porciones que sirven en el desayuno. Además, sería de mucha utilidad que faciliten toalla para manos en el baño de la habitación. Si bien no le quitaron mérito a nuestra estadía, bien podría potenciar muchísimo más la experiencia de visita en el hotel.

• Nada (9/5): Superb - Beautiful, quiet and very clean private area with a lovely pool. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast but wish there was more variety. Perfect location !! Five minutes to the amazing beach, grocery store and restaurants.

• Laszlo41 (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice hospitality. Comfortable beds, great nature around the pool. Helpful hosts. If we were hungry they solved it, if it was about renting an ATV they solved it. The city is within walking distance. So you don't really need a car. We were with my mother and we were very satisfied with everything. I recommend it to everyone! Thank you very much for the hospitality : - ) Oh and the sunset on Santa Teresa beach, which is 8 minutes away, is wonderful :-) Maybe there could be a hairdryer in the rooms and a small lamp above the mirror. But these are almost nothing :-)

• Tamara (7/5): Good - The hotel had a lovely pool area, was very quiet when we went so pretty much just us. The bed was also massive and tv was a nice touch (though unfortunately there was one English channel and we couldn't get the subtitles to work in our favour, not a big deal though). Breakfast was nice too, also there was a drying rack for us to hang our clothes outside which was so useful in the end, wish more places did that! Our sheets were changed daily/bins empties which was also great. Not the hotels fault but it was always such a long walk to the main hub of town and back. I also wish there were more variety in the breakfast options as it resulted in me having the same thing each time. Lunch/dinner option also would've been appealing to save us always having to go into town as it was such a trek and no point going to the super market which was closer ad we didn't have a kitchen. Ultimately we didn't live Santa Teresa because of the distance to get anywhere and back so we ended up leaving a few days earlier but we were happy with the service we received overall there.
• Patrick (10/5): Cute jungle bungalows around a pool in the jungle but next to the beach. What more could you want? - The overall design of this small property is great where you have cute bungalows situated around a fun pool with everything nicely maintained and lots of lush vegetation! The property across the street is jungle and behind the property is jungle so it felt very out of the way but it is actually very close to the main area of Santa Teresa and down the street to the beach. We even saw howler monkeys on the property next door!!! The community area/restaurant is in the front of the property and blocks views of the main street. They have breakfast served every morning from 8:00-9:30 and the gallo pinto dish is the perfect and delicious Tican way to start the day. They have good free coffee available all day too! Breakfast was fun too because iguanas, squirrels, and magpies would visit next to the patio looking for a handout (kids loved it). The staff was very friendly and helpful and they let us keep our surfboards with the hotel surfboards so we didn't have to put them in our rooms. There is 24-hour security guard so we felt very safe as well. The bungalows were simple yet nice with comfy beds, A/C that worked great, and nice bathrooms with spacious shower. My favorite hotel we stayed at in our 4 times to Costa Rica. It would have been nice to have TV's that had bluetooth so we could either stream from our phones or display pictures we took during the day on a bigger screen. But probably a blessing in disguise because who wants to watch TV when you are in Costa Rica?? (Although we did get to watch a futbol match)

• Mary (8/5): Very good - Great pool, helpful staff, good breakfast every morning. Room was spacious and private, great for our family of 5. Room was cleaned every day. Close to beach and amenities. Surrounding area was very busy, easy walking distance to stores and restaurants but busy streets, sketchy on foot with small children. The beach access to the left as you leave the hotel was beautiful and much less busy.

• Linn (5/5): Pricy, not worth the price. - Pool area. Location was close to city center. People in reception didn’t show any will to help out with luggage when arrived or left the hotel. If had questions for personal about activities etc they didn’t have answers. Breakfast was very simple and not tasty. If wanted other option for breakfast we had to pay, and we already had breakfast included. Bathroom was small and didn’t feel clean. Pictures of hotel looks much nicer than hotel actually is. I’ve travelled a LOT!!

• Anna (1/5): Bad - The beds, the staff attitude (didn't care at all, even the day we left for the checkout, we just left the keys on the door, and the owner saw as in the morning waiting our shuttle : if I didn't say GoodMorning he wouldn't even talk to us ). The poor breakfast were they give you the same 4 options everyday, e.g, fruits, bread, marmalade and butter (with the worst bread) and if you want to eat something better, like an omelet for example 🙄 you have to pay ! They have a list of breakfast were you can choose and pay more to have a normal breakfast. The worst ever we have seen ! ! If you don't have internet in your room ( like we did for 2 days) just complain to give you the good one to have. Waste of Money ! ! With this price we could stay in much much better hotels !

Its nice to have breakfast included. A few points of improvement: Cleanliness of the pool (lots of bugs and leaves, also water looked cloudy at night) Cushions on the pool chairs were never there, despite having them around Our TV had a big strippe so it probably needs replacing soon

And we were able to book a day trip to Isla Tortuga with the hotel which was great. We would have appreciated a little more attention to detail when it comes to hosting and taking care of the property. We could feel that we were there during low season.

Small things/ objects need to be added in the rooms to make it even more comfortable like a night table for example. Also the floor of the room is not the most appropriated one when you have your feet wet because as the floor is very slippery surface

• Colette (8/5): Met our needs but unimpressed by staff - This hotel is 5 minute walk from beach and from town. Very convenient. Good AC. Simple but filling breakfast. Nice pool. Kitchenette was useful. Surf boards for rent were in good shape and cheaper than renting in town. Soft towels. Even though it’s just outside of town, you do hear the loud traffic passing during rush hours. Lots of trucks, ATVs and some honking. Very loud road noise in cabin 1. Cabin 1 mattress and WiFi were terrible. This was the last place we stayed at after traveling for 2 weeks. The staff here were less friendly than other places. They did not want to engage unless necessary. Elder owner seemed grumpy and put out when we requested a late check out (1hour) so my daughter could get online for school. But overall this place met our needs just didn’t have the Tico hospitality we had been given elsewhere. Ps if you want a fancy and fabulous dinner out… try Rukas. Beautiful view and beautifully plated, delicious food.

• Urša (4/5): Disappointing - The location is great since it’s away from all the dust from the street. The pool area is nice. Staff was unreliable. If you want to surf just contact some surf schools via whatsapp. We made a mistake of trusting the staff but realised later they were lying to us about some things. We got a feeling they would say anything just to get rid of you. Not being heard by the staff is a huge minus. Also, the pool was dirty.

• Alexandru (8/5): Very nice environment, beautiful pool, a lot of dust in the environment. - The location is strategically good, and the rooms are ok. Breakfast is ok. The pool is nice and from the pool everything looks beautiful. The place where the hotel is very well, close to many interest places but bear in mind the streets around are not paved so everything around is full of dust. It is definitely not the hotel's fault and the hotel is quite protected by vegetation around. The room is fairly simple and some cups and eventually a kettle would definitely help. If you want a cup of hot water you need to go and wait at the kitchen. The hotel staff is ok and they serve you when you request it, but they don't seem particularly happy to do-it. Sometimes you have the feeling you bother them. Some smiles would definitely help.
• Anonymous (9/5): beautiful, peaceful and relaxing - it was just outside the hustle and bustle of the village centre so lovely and peaceful but within a short walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The pool and gardens were amazing with lots of wildlife to see. The bungalow was lovely with all you needed but the bathroom could do with updating.
• Egil (9/5): Great place to stay in Santa Teresa. - Small, comfortable cabins around the pool. Nice place to enjoy lazy days. Away from the buzz, close to the beach. Serviceminded personell. Breakfast could have had more than one option including fruit. A noisy «training studio» kept disturbing the otherwise quiet evenings.
• Julia (9/5): wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surf life - What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surf life. On of the best surf spots is only 5 minutes walk away. The bungalows are located in the center of town, surrounded by nature and wildlife. So it's not atypical for an iguana to show up. We were completely satisfied and have extended directly.
