Guest Reviews
- Cyndy (10/5): Amazing place - Lovely and semi secluded with a magnificent setting amongst the bush. Everything we needed was there and the spa was amazing... The only thing that I didn't like was packing up to leave. Should of stayed longer....
- Jo (9/5): A beautiful, serene forest getaway for me and my dog, Henry. - I loved everything about the property. It was spacious and very well equipped. Nothing.

It was comfortable The no door near the spa bath was very cold at night

- Paige (10/5): -
- Sylvia (10/5): Fabulous place to relax and stay when in Margaret River area. - The accommodation is nestled in beautiful nature. We loved the peace and quiet.
We enjoyed going for a morning walk on the fantastic property and spotted so many kangaroos 🦘. 🫶
We felt very cosy and appreciated the warm electric blankets during the cold nights.
- Ben (10/5): Fantastic place to stay, we were so happy with it being so secluded and peaceful, will definitel be -
- Stacey (10/5): -
- Catherine (10/5): -
- Bryan (9/5): - Silence
- colette (10/5): -
- Colin (9/5): We really enjoyed the peaceful location! - The location in the forest was great. The walks available on the property and the lake with kayaks is a highlight. Lighting in the living areas for evening and night is stark and bright like an office or store room. A table lamp or just changing the bulbs to softer, warmer options would help. Having an old sofa bed in the lounge is uncomfortable to sit on.
- Hayley (9/5): Great stay, loved seeing the kangaroos in the vineyard! - Beautiful retreat, relaxing, peaceful and good location. Lovely facilities.
- Alistair (9/5): Loved it. Happily recommend or stay again. Relaxing. - The location was amazing! A little cabin in the woods, surrounded by wildlife. We saw and heard so many birds. Had possums visit every night & a kangaroo with joey outside the door. So quiet. Couldn’t see or hear the other cabins.
A little book/library shack in the grounds too.
Taking all your own food & drinks wasn’t a problem.
Lack of wi-Fi didn’t bother us at all. Wish we had stayed for longer than our 3 nights. Very relaxing. If we were being picky, some ‘softer’ lighting for the evening would have been nice.
- Flávia (9/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): Our stay was great will highly recommend to family and friends and will be back for another getaway soon. - The location was perfect for a quite get away from city life surround by nature. Spa was a bit to loud couldn’t enjoy the view with it on.
- Debra (9/5): Beautiful quiet cottage - will definitely stay again! - Beautiful secluded cottage in ideal location to explore Margaret River and surrounds Nothing
- Jordan (9/5): -
- Justin (10/5): -
- Bertram (10/5): - Amazing secluded location surrounded by nature. Great forest views/sounds and the jacuzzi was a treat! Warm light bulbs would have elevated the cottage ambiance during evenings - the white light was a bit harsh! Some lamps around the living space would have also made it a bit more cozy. Please let me know if you plan on making these changes otherwise we will bring out own lighting for our next visit :) Also the large built-in hot plate in our cabin was defunct but it wasn't a big deal!
- Mark (7/5): Very relaxing - The cottages are showing their age - which was expected. They are best described as rustic. Still very comfortable though. USB Movies are the size of a small tablet screen on the large tv - not very usable. Could do with a music mix stick. Description of beach at the lake was a bit of creative writing. They are priced right. Lose the horrible Green colour on the exterior of the cottages and re paint in mud brick brown - which would lift them all. Kitchen and bathroom need the most work. They are otherwise priced right.
- Rhys and Karen (5/5): - No robes
Spa jets being turned on, caused power outage. Could not use spa bath with jets on. Advised Manager wirh 2 text messages with no response, very disappointed. Spolit our wedding anniversary
- Michael (7/5): Great place to stay if you want to get away from it all - Location Location
Solitude
Surroundings
Tranquility Suggest you take your own drinking water
- Dov (10/5): - location n/a
- Genevieve (9/5): - The wildlife emus, kangaroos, kookaburras, possums and bandicoots. The tranquility, no noise pollution, total relaxation. The double spa was a delight so were the comfy beds with the electric blankets.
- J (8/5): Nicely appointed cottage set amongst a tranquil and beautiful forest. -
- Chloe (9/5): Fabulous venue for a big group get together. Perfect for big communal meals, lots of wine and nature - Location was beautiful. The house was fabulous for our get together. Great kitchen.
There were all the plates/glasses/cooking things you could possibly need.
Lots of coffee pods and a machine. The Booking.com listing said "Guests will have a special experience as the holiday home provides a hot tub."
So we all came with bathers expecting a communal hot tub. This was one of the reasons we booked the accomodation and one of the filters we used to search.
However, there was no jacuzzi or hot tub - BUT there were spa bathtubs in each of the double bedroom ensuites.
The baths were lovely - but NOT the reason that we booked.
The kitchen was really well stocked with functional things - but not really with pantry items.
- Ronja (9/5): Great stay with beautiful nature around - Beautiful secluded and dog friendly
- Leanne (10/5): - Peaceful and wildlife and the extra personal touches
- Mandy (10/5): - The chalets were well appointed and exceptionally clean. The beds were so comfy and the location right in the heart of the forest was just what we needed to unwind and enjoy some r&r.
- Naga (10/5): -
- Mateja (10/5): -
- David (10/5): -
- Lorraine (10/5): Idyllic - Beautifully secluded and well equipped. Will definitely come back. Pillows are awful, recommend bringing your own from home if you can. The movie selection is also a little odd, if you can bring your own dvd's or a device with USB-C to connect to the tv it would be better ☺️
- Kiera (10/5): -
- Inge-Borg (8/5): The fire, the jacuzzi, the Forrest and lake made us feel like we were on a tiny holiday! - The location is great, though it’s a bit outside of town it really makes you feel like you’re away from everything! A few more signs on the property as it was difficult to find in the dark. We didn’t realise there were multiple ways to get onto the property so we got lost a few times.
- Steven (9/5): -
- Julie (9/5): Peaceful and cosy - Serene bush setting and cosy little cottage. Semi outdoor spa was an added bonus
- Krystel (10/5): Absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to come back! - So peaceful, excluded not close to town, just what we needed! Nothing to not like.
- Barbara (8/5): Romantic getaway - The location was fantastic and so was the spa. Very clean and kitchen was well stocked so overall a fantastic getaway location Bed was not as comfortable so maybe a new mattress could fix that? Otherwise, all was fine. The couch was awesome for an afternoon nap to make up for a bit of discomfort in the night.
- Kai (10/5): -
- Meddings (9/5): -
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional place to stay to relax and unwind. - The location was amazing, very peaceful and secluded. Still close enough to Margaret River to go for supplies if required. Clean cottage and the spa was fantastic. Nothing.
- Spencer (9/5): - Was warm and cozy during a cold and rainy weekend. Had a visit from a friendly possum. No issues
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional - Relaxing peaceful in nature Nothing was perfect
- Sandra (10/5): Harmony plus - The bush walks & serenity There wasn't anything I didn't like
- Morton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Secluded location in forest really beautiful
- Jason (9/5): To centre your life and to realise what is truely important - The isolation. Nature. The disconnection. And re energisation No one to bother you. A home away from the rat race
- Siobhan (8/5): Very good -
- Sandeep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jodi (10/5): Relaxing, cosy cottage in the forest - Beautiful, secluded location, so peaceful, we went for walks around the property where we saw kangaroos and emu's, the cottage was so cozy especially when it was raining and we loved hopping in the spa when we got back from a day of exploring the south-west. We liked that there was no internet and the movies we watched on the usb provided were great too, such a relaxing stay.
- Heather (10/5): Perfection! - Love love love this place - this was our 5th visit and as usual, everything was perfect! It's such a beautiful spot for a cosy weekend away. n/a
- Chris (10/5): Will be coming back and we will be letting others know about how wonderful the experience is at Harmony. - The setting in the Forrest was breathtaking. You really felt as though you were surrounded by bush. The ammenities were perfect for the surroundings. Loved the spa bath, the care of having the beds already warmed and the fire on when we arrived. Thank you for a soul enriching time Was not long enough.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Passmore (9/5): Superb -
- Chloe (9/5): Superb - The location was stunning, absolutely beautiful!
- Lubbe (9/5): Perfect accommodation for a team of 5 ladies accompanied by family doing the Margaret River Ultra Marathon. We enjoyed e - The facilities were perfect. The property was spacious - with 10 of us in the house, there was more than enough room to accommodate everyone. Beautiful views and a lovely, peaceful setting. Nothing
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shenol (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (10/5): Perfect - Seclusion and views Nothing it was fantastic
- Ashwija (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Beautiful secluded location - Secluded surroundings, and yet easy to drive to different attractions of the area. Comfortable beds and well kept house. Great outside area to spend the end of the day and bbq. Beautiful forest surrounds, making it nice and private. even though there were other cabins near by. Can't think of anything, it would have been nice to have more days in this cabin to explore the property and vineyards.
- Thomas (6/5): Quiet enjoyable experience with nature. - Location was great. In my opinion, cost was a little excessive for the facility. It is aged with no modern facilities.
- Ruth (8/5): We had a great time and apart from the uncomfortable beds it is a great place to stay. - There were a number of slats missing in the single bed which meant that the bed was uncomfortable.
We tried the bottom bunk and found it more uncomfortable because there were loose slats in that bed too.
Peaceful place; loved the connection with wildlife and general ambience of the place.
- Luana (9/5): Superb -
- Penelope (8/5): Able to switch off mentally and physically recommend to anyone looking for spiritual uplifting - The location was ideal, have never stayed in a forest before. Woke up to the sounds of the birds and natural wildlife. Short distance to shops and restaurants, had an enjoyable experience.
- Debbie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (8/5): Beautiful place to chill and unwind - Quite and peaceful in the forest Nothing
- Xavier (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (7/5): Country feels - The area and the spa The bed and pillows need updating bed was not comfortable
- Jacqueline (8/5): Very good - The location was stunning. Being able to bring out 2 dogs was really appreciated. Not able to access TV or the inability to access the movies on usb. We kept getting a message that it couldn't connect.
Parts of kitchen were dirty - fridge door and floor
- Tatiana (9/5): Relax in the forest - The cottage is about 15km from Margaret River with easy access to Bussell Hwy and the Caves Rd, so pick your destination and go explore. Plenty of places around to get good fresh and processed meats or dairy products for BBQ dinner or breakfast in the cottage. Secluded location, quiet and peaceful with plenty of wildlife - birds, kangaroos, possums etc. Nothing
- Jen (9/5): Superb -
- Lehanne (8/5): Getting back to nature. - We loved the location and the privacy. The forest around the house was beautiful and peaceful! The house was neat and tidy and had all the necessary amenities.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cherie (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful, secluded, trails, lake, wildlife, and dog-friendly.
- Jolie (9/5): Superb - At least our 6th visit!
- Cam (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place to stay, highly recommended to all.
- Nadia (8/5): Lovely location n setting. - Settled outside of Margaret River , on the way to Augusta, in a bushland property near a lake. Beautiful spot. Bed was comfortable, lovely setting. We could take our small dog, nice walking trails around the property. There are insects, given the location , such as ants which are in and around the Spa, and cockroaches got into our bread bag, left on kitchen counter. Our last night was ruined by fuse repeatedly tripping, so we had no electricity, we were moved to another cottage. So that meant packing rapidly with a torch, cleaning, then load the car, go to another cottage unload and repeat next morning.
- Marlee-shae (10/5): amazing stay! can’t rate this place enough - secluded but still close enough to shops and main town nothing it was fabulous!!
- Jennifer (7/5): Good -
- Bell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (8/5): Recommendable and we would always come back, but possibly ask for a different cottage than Firetail. - Superb location, nicely tucked away under the huge trees. Room for improvement: The car parking is too far away to conveniently carry all your baggage to the cottage (Firetail). The water tank in front of the door seemed to have been empty. A little more TLC needed here and there.
A fenced area around the cottage to keep the doggies in would be a bonus.
The worst thing was the construction site below the cottage (western side), this was not nice to look at.
