• Caroline (7/5): Unbeatable location for a short stay in Athens. - Location is excellent. A short walk from Monastriraki Metro station and easy transit to and from airport. Loads of choice of restaurants close by. Acropolis walkable with lots of nice shops to browse on the way. The mattress was very hard and not ideal for me as I have back issues but managable for a short stay. The toilet was not clean on arrival - I thought it might be limescale but all came off when I cleaned with the loo brush so just hadn't been done. I couldn't get the aircon to work in the front bedroom but left the bedroom door open and had lounge aircon on instead so no great inconvenience.

• Nidal (7/5): War nicht schlecht betont wegen der Lage - Die Lage - Küchenutensilien können besser werden ( es gab nur 2 Teelöffel als Beispiel) - im Bad kann mehr investiert werden als Beispiel nach dem Duschen sammelt sich das Wasser am Rand, weil die Abflussebene höher liegt). - AC in der zweiten Schlafzimmer konnte nicht mit Fernbedienung gesteigert werden also in der Nacht vom Hauptschalter ausgeschaltet. - die Betten total unbequem - den Besitzer hat uns nur per Mail kontaktiert.

• Steve (8/5): A great central location close to everything. - This apartment is in a great location. Monastiraki is in the heart of Athens close to most iconic sites. We had a bit of difficulty with locating the correct lock box but sorted it out quickly. The apartment was a hidden surprise within a block of apartments and offices. There were 2 bedrooms both with a double bed and the third person slept on the pull out bed in the lounge room. After having stayed in other properties with handheld showers and shower curtains, it was refreshing to have an overhead rain shower in an enclosed shower space with closing doors. There were bottles of water provided on the first day which was very welcome. The sofa bed was not as comfortable as the regular beds so this might be something to be aware of if you're going to use this. Note: If there are a few of you and you need to shower for longer than 40 minutes, you would need to time it as the hot water unit only provides this amount of time, before needing an additional number of minutes (I think it was 30) to heat up again. This was not an issue for us and we managed to shower within the time frame.

• Antonia (9/5): Superb - The apartment is clean, large, and in the centre of Athens. The best thing about it is that it is quiet. Supermarkets are a minute walk, as is the main shopping strip. Would definitely stay here again.

• Gail (7/5): Very central and apart from moments above, the apartment was clean and reasonably comfort - There are a number of key safes by the entrance. Photos sent show only two - photo needs to be updated. Had to call for information on how to use the water heater. Beds uncomfortable. As travelling with a friend, a second set of keys (which could be left in the apartment) would be helpful

The highlights were the ideal position, great size, perfect layout, excellent directions & responsiveness of the host. A hidden gem. Getting in and out of the building could be seen as challenging, but we found it easy. Don’t be put off by any concerns about safety. While the building entrance is run down, this is a super apartment in an excellent area of Athens.

Apartment was very clean and host was very responsive My only complaint is that a double bed is too small for adults.. but that is personal choice really!
