Guest Reviews
- Christopher (10/5): Stunning rooftop apartment adjacent Neal’s Yard - This is an amazing rooftop apartment in the heart of Seven Dials with great facilities and excellent location Need to walk up a few flights of very narrow stairs with your luggage but luckily we only had carry on so wasn’t too bad
- Stephen (10/5): Fantastic stay in a great flat in a great part of the city (Covent Garden). - Sole, the host, was great to deal with and was very accommodating. We were able to check in a little earlier and check out a little later, which was a great help with our travel plans. Thanks, Sole.
- Tom Gabbard (10/5): Fantastic host at a perfect location. - The advance communication and welcome on site was great. Joey went the extra mile-plus. Returning from dinner one evening, I realized I left our one set of keys in the apartment! Although it was late, Joey graciously responded and sent another set of keys by Uber. He stopped by a day later for me to return them. I was mortified by my error, but he was such a gentleman in reassuring me that “these things happen.” The stairs, but we were expecting them, so not a surprise. Good cardio I needed!
- Chris (10/5): - Great location, owner communication.
- Christian (9/5): Your home away from home? - Here it is! - If you love London, and being in London, and taking part in the life of a fantastic neighbourhood, this is the place to go!
Incredibly spacious, well equipped, nicely furnished, graced with a very comfy bed and with an unconventional but seriously cool layout - this apartment offers it all, and what’s more, it belongs to an excellent landlord.
We will be back, and we are looking forward to it! We were well aware that there are a few stairs to climb, so probably not ideal for people with a walking impediment.
But again, we knew that!
All the rest was just 👍🏼
- Soma (9/5): Simple, chilled and relaxed stay at the heart of London - Location, convenience, simplicity Well the stairs, but we knew about it. Was good workout!
- Guito (7/5): -
- Teresa (8/5): It was very cute, washer didn’t work but overall we had a blast. - It was beautiful and very close to activities. The stairs were a bit much just to get to the door and then once in the door, more stairs.
An older couple would struggle with the stairs.
- Roland (9/5): Superb - Great place. I'd stay there again. Great terrace, great location, spaceous kitchen / living room. No light in bathroom for shaving. Cramped bathroom. Generally lots of lightbulbs not working.
- Anne (10/5): A Dream Stay in the Heart of Covent Garden - This was by far the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in – truly fantastic! The apartment was beautiful, bright, and perfectly located right in the heart of Covent Garden. It had everything we could possibly wish for, and we felt genuinely welcomed with a lovely personal greeting and clear instructions on how everything worked.
From the very first contact, communication was smooth, and professional, which made everything feel easy and welcoming. Just across the street, there’s a vibrant food market and plenty of charming cafés, shops, and restaurants – the area has so much to offer!
The only thing to note is that there is no lift, which might be a challenge for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. It didn’t bother us at all, but it’s good to know.
We’re already planning our return – highly recommended in every way! -
- Kathleen (10/5): Fabulous stay, great location, great view, everything we needed. Will hope to be back! - Fabulous location and everything you could want in the kitchen A bit difficult to shower without getting everything wet
- Ken (9/5): Superb -
- Sigal (2/5): Overpriced and Misleading Information - Overpriced and Misleading Information
The apartment we stayed in is in a great location, which was definitely a plus. However, the price did not match what we received during our stay. The apartment is located on the fourth floor or higher, and the only access is through narrow, spiral stairs. Climbing to the apartment was very difficult and felt unsafe, especially with luggage. Unfortunately, this important detail was not mentioned in the listing, which we believe is misleading. Such information should be clearly shared with potential guests.
In addition, the price felt too high for what was provided. Basic items like toilet paper were not included for a five-night stay, and we had to purchase them ourselves. There was also no option to store our luggage on the day we checked out, which was inconvenient.
While the location was excellent, the overall experience left us disappointed. The narrow stairs are a safety concern, and the lack of transparency and value for money make it hard to recommend this apartment.
- Katie (10/5): Chic and in the best location, yet quiet and cosy. - Very stylish and in the best location we’ve ever stayed in in London. In the heart of Covent Garden and right opposite a foody market. You wouldn’t think you’re right in the heart of London though, as it’s so quiet. The stairs to the property and the front door is quite difficult to open.
- Gailyn (2/5): Great location but horrible flat. Go somewhere else. - Location was terrific, central to many main sites and restaurants. Lots of glasses and cups, tho limited plates, utencils. Outdoor seating looked nice, but due to weather we couldn't use. Liason person was nice. That's it. No internet available. We had to go purchase a plan. This is obviously been an issue for awhile since we were told at the very beginning that they'd reimburse us. Tho we've yet to receive.
The television/rear projection unit did not function. The last few days we could not access anything. First few days only
amazon was available no local channels. Could not pair with our phones.
Design set up as a certain type of aesthetic but not functional at all. Uncomfortable seating, side tables. Very graphically erotic or violent art work. Water from shower covered entire bathroom floor. Couldn't access cosmetics if toilet seat cover was up.
No manual for how things functioned in unit. Had to call liason for everything with contact.
Though site mentioned stairs, it didn't mention that stairs were 'castle' like stairs, barely wide enough for one's feet at the edge. We counted 76 stairs from street level to the bathroom.
Very uncomfortable flat, couldn't wait to leave.
- Maxe (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Amazing Apartment in Covent Garden - The apartment is fantastic, well furnished, comfortable and with all the equipment you need for your stay. The location is ideal right in Covent Garden. Sole managed it and was a delight to deal with and she made sure we were comfortable and settled in on arrival. The shower room is great with excellent pressure. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this apartment. Nothing negative to say.
- Gulliver (9/5): Excellent Big, Homely, Stylish apartment shame about the shower. - Everything is great - the place really felt like a second home right in the middle of london. The apartment is huge and you can really relax here. The bathroom is a problem. The shower doesnt have enough pressure to work so you need to have a bath every morning. The bath is very big and water runs slowly which means you need to allow at least 20/30mins extra to get ready in the morning. A cheap power shower would have transformed the whole thing.
- David (6/5): We love the area, but this flat just didn't meet expectations - This was the third time in four years my wife and I have been to London. Each time we have stayed in Covent Garden, and for us it's a fantastic place to be, so this apartment was great for that. The space is huge, much bigger then what we really needed. It truly is more like a full time home for someone to stay in for an extended period. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was more then enough space in the fridge and freezer for leftovers. The hosts were also super accommodating and got us in earlier then the listed time and we are very thankful for that. As most reviews mention the stairs can be a problem for those with mobility issues, but we knew that going in, so just understand there are about 80 steps in total including two flights in the flat. We were happy to see that they added a pull down curtain in the bathroom so when you did shower the water stayed in the tub, but the water pressure itself was very disappointing. There are also no dressers in the bedroom which was an annoyance since we were there for 9 nights and had to live out of our suitcases the entire time. We were disappointed at the washer/dryer situation. The person who let us in showed us where they were but when we looked at the binder with instructions for the flat it said the dryer was broken and not to use it, something she never originally mentioned. And it doesn't look like they will be fixing it anytime soon since the page with that note is laminated. The binder does say you can dry your clothes using the washing machine, something we have done before, however the washing machine in this flat does not have that function and wasn't anything like the one pictured in the binder. The instructions for using the intercom and buzzing someone in also didn't match up with the reality of what was there. In the listing, the pictures online showed an Eames style lounge chair and another smaller one in the living room, but they weren't there for our stay. Lastly, the flat only has one small fan and because of the size of the place and the fact that it's a loft bedroom on the second level it tends to trap heat up there. (There is a cabinet next to the bed that appears to have a heater in it that got very hot as well.) So if you want to stay cool at night you'll need to carry it back and forth for your stay.
UPDATE: To address response-Both chairs were missing. Instruction book lists name for intercom to buzz someone in, outside lists only Flat numbers. Book says washer will dry clothes, but not the same model.
- Susan (7/5): Spacious apartment in a central location well presented but the stairs an issue for age and luggage - Excellent location spacious living area close to tube a theatres also Covent Garden and plenty of excellent restaurants The stairs were a major problem some 70+ to get to the apartment also the shower was pretty hopeless
