Guest Reviews
- singe (8/5): - Die Umgebung ist nicht ganz so hübsch, aber die Wohnung hält, was sie verspricht. Ganz prima.
- Colin (8/5): Great stay, suited our needs perfectly. - Easy walk to town, good air-conditioner, clean pool available, restaurants nearby, keys were easily accessible, washing machine and clothes rack were very handy, owner responded quickly to messages. Front screen door could have been improved to make it lockable and to provide a more attractive entry.
Ceiling fan was a bit squeaky.
- Robert (7/5): Good apart from the above - No breakfast option NO kitchen towels at all… and just 2 towels for bathroom but no hand towel for bathroom.
One tea towel was delivered at 10.30pm at night… the door being loudly knocked on… we were asleep.
The next night at 8.30pm a hand towel was delivered.
- Karyn (9/5): - Location of accommodation was perfect walking distant to all that we needed. Size of apartment was excellent for small space. High ceilings and white walls.
- Michelle (9/5): Great location, fully equipped unit - Close to town, well equipped and quiet location. Great communication from the owner.
- Susan (6/5): Cheap. Wouldn’t book again. - Comfortable bed. Easy 10 minute walk into city centre. Good water pressure. Fans were on when I arrived. Aircon worked well. Lots of cockroaches. Photos need updating as it’s not in the same condition. Quite old & ramshackle. Quite a bit of noise through the ceiling from upstairs - was woken up at 2:40am by noise from above one night. This is a residential complex so lots of noise from the neighbours opposite: constantly crying baby & frequent dog barking.
- Eva (9/5): Bekvämt och skönt att bo här, nära till allt!! - Fint och smakfullt inrett! Mycket välutrustat Terrassen var skräpig och dammig!!
- Jos (10/5): A beautiful well equipped spot. - The apartment was really well equipped and we had a fantastic time. Intend to book with you again next time :) Nil.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Marilyn (8/5): We had a great Holiday for 2 weeks in Darwin and were very comfortable (apart from the Bed size). - the Location was great and the Private Pool was indeed private although the surrounds required some attention., but the pool water was nice and clean. In two weeks it was really only used by us.
we were also pleasantly surprised by the Internet as we were expecting no Internet service. The ad may have been updated now. The apartment was extremely well stocked and Tony supplied anything that wasn't there immediately. Apartment was cool and had a great airconditioner and fans too The bed was a strictly double bed, so if your used to a King or Queen bed probably not for you.
The building was quite old and the shower area definitely needs a re grout. But if you don't mind ,that it is reflected in the tariff. Value for Money.
- Peter (1/5): Woeful due to false advertising of 2 beds and the owner's denial and arrogance. - The apartment was a clean, one bed unit in central Darwin. Great for a couple for short stays. My travel companion and myself booked this apartment specifically due it advertising 2 beds. We are not a couiple. We were horrified to find that there is NO sofa bed as advertised in the living room, just a normal sofa.
Copy from advert: Bedroom : 1 full bed. Living room: 1 sofa bed
Nor was there any bed linen available other than that on the one bed.
I messaged the owner and we then spoke on the phone. We were appalled at his reaction, denying he advertises a sofa bed and insisting 2 people meant a couple who slept in one bed! After reading him his ad he then blamed booking.com. He was aggressive, arrogant and ignorant. He finally agreed to try and access some bed linen the next day. He phoned back and confirmed the bed linen but then went on a tirade insisting this apartment was only for couples!
It was Festival time in Darwin so no other suitable accommodation was available. We stayed the 4 nights. I am 70 years old and have had back ops, sleeping on a spongy, no backing sofa.
Unfortunately when cleaning the apartment before departure I accidently knocked a vase off the dining table.
I was so concerned with this owner’s aggressive behaviour that I took multiple photos to prove we left the apartment clean and tidy with no new damages other than the vase.. And yes, he came back claiming reimbursement for the vase, demanding a commercial clean of the sofa for a fictional “enormous stain,” while refusing any compensation for his false advertising of 2 beds!
I have taken this issue to booking.com while the owner continues to ignore booking.com policies and is harassing me by phone and threatening to advise the organisations in my Linkedin account of my “disrespect.”
Two majors here: The apartment: ONE bed. The owner: rude and threatening.
- Margaret (9/5): Very enjoyable and Thankyou for all the help with Wifi - Roominess and location Was somewhat scruffy outside but great on inside
- Karen (1/5): Don't take the risk on this property - Nothing - it was awful. The flat was down a steep driveway, on the bottom floor of a three-storey block facing another block, the area in between available for parking. The whole complex was very scruffy, the area full of large dead pot plants and general detritus. Window and door grills were evident throughout the complex. The flat was a studio, rectangular with a door and four small windows at one end. The sleeping area was at the other end, partially partitioned off, no window or door. The door lock was insecure and the whole flat smelt extremely musty. The window and door grill and screening were very old and blocked with dust. The pool had a Private Pool sign but was not attached to the unit and appeared to be shared. The photos are clearly staged and do not show the unit in its current scruffy state. Also it is not in the CBD (Central Business District) We had strong concerns for our safety as well as for our belongings when out enjoying Darwin. We could not risk staying there. The owners claimed there had not been a break in since 2019 and would not refund any of our money so we wasted $903NZ and blame this on their deceptive advertising of the property.
- Tiffany (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dennis (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (7/5): Convenient location - The location was a short easy walk to the main street cafes. Parking was easy to navigate as was the lockbox self check in. The furnishings were comfortable and the room had plenty of space. We loved the extra touch of luxuries like shower products. The water pressure was really good too. Upon arrival you do get the sense you are in the wrong place as the outside appearance of the complex is run down, but the inside is quite nice and clean. I would suggest a deep clean of the shower though to remove those stubborn grout stains.
- Tara (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, spacious 1 bedroom apartment in centre of Darwin. Excellent communication, and nothing was a problem, thanks.
- Chris (8/5): Very good - Central convenience
- Chris (7/5): Good - Piece and quite Around pool need cleaning 4
- Martin (8/5): Very useful and well located accommodation; well priced; attentive landlord. - Well equipped; spacious; useful written instructions in the accommodation. Much thought has been put into supplying equipment that a traveler might require. A decent shade blind on the kitchen window would usefully keep the hot sun out in the morning. The low sun in mid June makes it hot inside.
I arrived in the middle of the night and was unsure from the roadside quite where I was going to find the apartment. I had to wander about to find it. In fact it was down the sloping driveway and directly to the left.
The keysafe works but requires some maintenance. It is awkward to manipulate. The key tends to jam in the security door so the lock should be lubricated.
A small amount of attention to detail is required inside eg a control knob was loose and easily detached.
- Mollison (10/5): A welcome hidden gem. - It was really great to relax and wind down here after a fairly active 17 day APT Kimberley & Top End Tour. The amenities, decor, ambience, pool and location was great and it was an easy walk to Woolies and stop 2 or 3 of the Hop on Hop off bus service. A very attractive apartment, attractively priced-exceptional value for money. The large man towels and jumbo big sheet toilet paper was welcome too. It was easy to communicate with the host who was flexible with our checkout time to suit our outgoing flight. All in all a HIDDEN GEM exceeding all our expectations, we just didn’t want to leave. Couldn’t fault a thing, it met all our comfort needs and more.
- Carolyn (9/5): Excellent choice for a short or longer term stay. Close to town, bus stop next street. - Great location just out of town, easy walk, nice and quiet. Very quiet air conditioning. Liked the high ceilings this gave the apartment a spacious luxury feel. Host most obliging. Bed was a little soft for my liking.
- Lyn (9/5): It was very convenient for what we needed it for. Very quite location.. -
- Chris (9/5): Lovely central location, great value for the price - Great location
Attentive host
Well setup, with most things you need for a self contained holiday
Excellent parking and pool
Air conditioning was second to none A little more attention to the small things, but any thing we needed was attentively fixed straight away
