Guest Reviews
- Kim (9/5): Peaceful stay in the hills with super comfy bed - Clean, comfortable and peaceful in great location. Had everything we needed and plenty of space.
Bed was very comfy - we both slept better than we have in ages! Bedroom was perfect temperature.
As a bird lover I liked the decor and bird books.
Good supply of tea, coffee, and porridge for breakfast.
Great communication from hosts and felt confident we’d be able to get hold of them if we had any problems. Didn’t dislike anything but if pushed to find any negatives (though neither ruined our stay):
-the sofa cushions & throw had a bit of a doggy/musty kind of smell
-sofa was a bit small for us both to lie on to watch TV at night (but comfy enough if you prefer to sit upright 😊)
- Maxine (8/5): Lovely stay in the Adelaide Hills - Lovely light airy feel to the living area with views of the trees. Location was very handy for destinations in the hills. Very close to the national parks in the area. Access to the property was up a steep drive with the requirement to turn round in the small area in front. We were staying for 12 nights but were only given 1 handtowel, 1 facecloth and 3 bath towels. Luckily there was a washing machine so we could launder them. The kitchen equipment was sparse, with some very tired frying pans and only 2 saucepans. No colander or cheese grater.
- Kathy (8/5): Quite & peaceful had nice days out catching up with family that live in Adelaide - No breakfast
The location was ideal for us surrounded by trees and birds , some nice restaurants a short drive . The lounge room could of had more comfortable chairs.
The bed sheets were old and and not a good linen .pillows on bed seen better days .
Felt there was room for improvement with curtains in the bedroom
- Vanessa (9/5): Superb - Great little spot, really enjoyed our stay here. So peaceful! Huge cosy bed, lovely shower, secluded and treetops to gaze at with a cup of tea. Lovely. Thanks for a great stay
- Melissa (8/5): We had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again!! Great value for money. Thank you 🙂 - Location - very easy to get into Handorf, Stirling and Crafers. Nice to look out at the trees and we saw a koala, which was exciting!!
The bed was comfortable. Beautiful soft sheets and lovely pillows. I liked the blankets and throws, it was cold & rainy outside when we were there, but comfy and cosy inside! The wi-fi password didn’t work (though I could have messaged and asked about it, but didn’t bother for such a short stay).
The fan in the bathroom smelt - I found opening the window to be more effective.
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abi (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (8/5): Very good - Loved the privacy of the home. Was further out of the city then I realised but that’s my bad for not looking more into it. Otherwise a beautiful place
- Caroline (10/5): Beautifully equipped cabin for a relaxing getaway - Great location close to walking trails around the corner, Belair national park, Mt Lofty and Stirling
- Pei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (10/5): This place was beautifuly decorated, with everything you could need for your stay in the Adelaide hills. Conveniently lo - Beautiful setting, quiet and peaceful. Conveniently situated in the beautiful Adelaide hills. Koalas in the gum trees outside. Peaceful setting.
- Ian (7/5): Good - Squeaky bed
- Ken (7/5): Good - The atmosphere is so nice.
- Talitha (10/5): Week away in the Adelaide Hills - Everything was so thoughtfully put together.
Everything you would hope to have access to was there. It was important to us to find a place where we could cook if we wanted to, and the kitchen was supplied with everything we could need.
Also Kim and James catered for our dietary requirements for the breakfast which was included, which was very thoughtful.
The location was peaceful and quiet, and gave us the best idea of what potentially moving to the Adelaide Hills from Melbourne would be like.
The property was located close to the freeway (which you couldn't hear at all) and as we discovered about Adelaide - we were so close to almost everything!
The bed is super comfy, and what was really great was that even in the hot weather we had for the week of our stay, the downstairs area where the bed is located stayed cool.
We also loved that there were so many beautiful walks/hikes close by, and the information pack put together by Kim and James was very comprehensive for those new to the area.
Great week away spent here. Literally clutching at straws to say this, but the size of the bathroom vanity sink.
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - So Peaceful and Relaxing, great value for money, so close to everything......was Perfect ❤️
- Julian (8/5): Nice little getaway in the hills - Sweet little modern accomodation, nice lounge/dining space The driveway is a bit steep, poorly lit- very difficult to manoeuvre up and down at night. Probably not suitable for little kids- with exposed staircase.
