Guest Reviews
- Ian (6/5): reasonable for a one-week stay - Most significantly, it turned out that the host's sister lived in the same building, and met us on arrival. She made up, in pleasantness and helpfulness what was lacking in her brother. At that time, and later, she was a kind reference point. When the internet computer connection did not operate, she brought down her son who, by great good fortune, was a computing major: he created an alternative gateway. The bed was excellent. There was a decent conservatory off the main room, leading on to a delightful garden patio area. The location, although hilly, was central and interesting. We had informed of expected arrival between 21:00 & 22:00. After advising that the airline projected a delay of 45 minutes for `operational reasons', this is not the sort of reply your expect from your host:
`if you want you may cancel the reservation I can accept it without any penalty and can take refund. Because my man can not wait all the day without any connection
He needs time
After 22:00 o clock he can turn it into no show'
Fortunately, the flight caught up time, and was barely later than scheduled on arrival. We got to the property within the advised window, before 22:00, and were not left on the street, in an unfamiliar city, without the local language, to find a place to lay our heads that night.
The apartment is more down-at-heel than is apparent from the photos - if you were being kind, it might be described as shabby-chic. Facilities, although correctly described, left something to be desired. There is no oven or microwave, just a two-plate electric hob, which left only rudimentary food prepartion possible. The en-suite shower supplied only cold water. There were no scissors, no small saucepan grill or toaster. There being two of us, with differing plans and itineraries, we asked for a second set of keys which never materialized.
