• Sandra (3/5): Parking is unavailable and finding a space a nightmare - It is a small apartment which is obviously used by the oener (her clothes are in the wardrobe) and therefore, the kitchen is quite well equipped. The listed parking was not available and because of the location near the station and roadworks it was a total nightmare to find a parking spot.

• htriley (9/5): Basel Transition Stay - A very understanding host. Great security. Supermarket across the street. Within walking distance of historic areas and the Christmas Market. Unusual difficulty communicating with host, but resolved in reasonable time. Our apps were not aligned. Our short stay of two nights did not give us time ro use the Basel Card except to meet our cruise ship with luggage after our stay.

• willianne (3/5): Bad vibes from the host - Property is oke. But not necessary for me to look at someone’s private pictures or clothing during my stay. The communication with the host was bad and slow reply. Host waited until very last minute to share how to get into the apartment. Not very nice just before boarding a plane and arrive late at night awaiting for a reply, not knowing if someone is reachable. When calling, the host started arguing, being impolite and forced me to trust the process. My request wasn’t taken serious. you can't command trust and meanwhile be inconsistent in what you say and text. Also, pretending you have a team working behind the scene but you’re a private host that switches messaging from ‘I/my’ into ‘we/our’.
• Chris (10/5): - Very convenient location. Very friendly and helpful host. Clear instructions. A comfortable apartment tastefully furnished. People may want to note that there is no TV.

• Mikaela (8/5): Pretty good, watch out for extra charges - Location was perfect, close to SBB and easy public transport access. Rooms and facilities felt clean, had good space for up to three people. Wi-Fi was down while I was there, so it was very frustrating as I couldn't complete work. Also charges extra to bring an extra person + to use laundry machines.

• Jolijn (9/5): Schoon appartement in de stad - Net appartement met een goed bed. De badkamer en de keuken waren schoon. Het appartement zit midden in de stad en alles is makkelijk te bereiken. De verhuurster was erg vriendelijke en dacht goed mee. Het was warm in Basel en dan is het binnen in het appartement ook erg warm

• Lesley (8/5): - Location was good- supermarket across street. eating places, transport close. 25chf to use the laundry (should be stated), no easy way to wash dishes(plug ineffective, no hot water, DW still not working), too much personal stuff. No cooling options in hot weather.
• Chantal (9/5): Top appartement op centrale locatie in Basel - Super netjes en voorzien van alle gemakken. Zeer volledige moderne keuken. Op loopafstand van het station met restaurantjes en een bakker in de straat. Coop aan de overkant dus perfect voor het ontbijt bijv. Heerlijk om de luiken ‘s avonds te sluiten om lekker een keer uit te slapen. ‘s Ochtends een nespressootje of een kop thee uit eigen keuken. Ideaal appartement voor een kort bezoek aan Basel of een overnachting op weg naar je eindbestemming. Voelde me als vrouw prima veilig van het station naar het appartement. Ik reisde met de trein. Ik weet niet of je gemakkelijk kan parkeren in de omgeving. Zowel in de slaapkamer als de woonkamer kunnen de ramen open. Dus een airco oid heb ik niet gemist. Ik heb de verhuurder de tip gegeven voor een bedlamp. Ik heb gelezen met de zaklamp van mijn telefoon.

• Greg (8/5): Very good - The location is fantastic, especially if you are coming via train. 2 stops or a short walk. Comfortable and modern. No hot water in the kitchen sink, kitchen plug did not work, dishwasher was out of order - and has been for some time. The apartment stated it had a washing machine - but it is in the apartment block and come at a cost of 25CHF per day. No indication of this on the site.
• David (1/5): We were taken advantage of by a smart arse. - No breakfast This booking was made as we were expecting a serviced apartment through Bookings.com. Frankly this was no more than an Air B&B (minus the breakfast). The owners lives at the apartment. The wardrobes, cupboards, pantry etc were all full of the owners stuff and the wardrobes were locked. The pillows were cushions stuffed into small pillow cases. We requested better pillows but this was declined. The apartment stated it had washing facilities but it had none. There was communal washing facitilities (for all the tenants of all apartments) but the charge was SF25 per use, i.e. A$50 per use - ridiculous. We constantly self that we were 'intruding'. This is no more than a person's apartment who is trying to capitalise on short term accommodation, making zero effort to meet the needs of the traveller. It is set up like these that bring down the entire accommodation booking industry to say nothing of the effect on how we felt about our visit to Basel. Avoid this place. Bookings.com should make a clear distinction between a serviced apartment and a 'chancers' B&B. We were away for almost 5 weeks - this was our worst accommodation place and we won't be returning to Basel any time soon.
• Julie (9/5): Superb - Close to the main railway station, tram right out the front to take you into the city. A fantastic Thai restaurant back towards the train station. Details on how to enter the apartment were very clear, however, it would have been easier for us had we been sent details a day earlier. We flew into the country and had issues with our SIM card activating, lucky for free wifi at the airport. Please note, we loved this apartment, however it does face onto a busy road which became noisy early in the morning. Also, just a personal comment: the wardrobe in the bedroom had glass doors. Although it was locked you could still see everything in the cupboard. Clothes were very neatly on display, but it felt weird, and a reminder that it was someone else’s home. Kitchen cupboards were also full of various foods. We were told we could use the kitchen, but did that mean we could drink their wine and eat their food? Of course we never did, although the wine did look tempting 😄. Dishwasher was out of order. Despite all this it was a beautiful comfortable apartment that I would recommend.

Easy to go around the city with public transportation. Fully equipped kitchen is nice. Sometimes the wifi connection could be tricky. Challenging to sleep when it gets warm.

• Daniel (7/5): Austerity in affluent Switzerland - The apartment is very clean. The price is cheap (for Basel). The building is quiet at night. A supermarket opposite and a bio shop bakery and grocery shop on the ground floor of the building. It takes around 10 minutes to reach the main train station where Bus # 50 to Euroairport leaves and arrives. The bed is not comfortable. There is a mobile mattress on top of the main mattress and it seems very old because it made marks on my legs when I woke up. It is impossible to use the main mattress because there is no suitable bed sheet for it. The pillow is actually two very old and worn out pillows that are joined together to form a pillow that made me sweat profusely (probably because of the poor materials it is made of). The only towel provided is not actually a towel - it is a small blanket made of synthetic material that would take longer to dry had the heating rack not been on. Check in instructions were given after check in time and the procedure clumsy which meant I spent 45 minutes unnecessarily. The WiFi is the slowest I have experienced in any rental apartment in recent years. I am an online trader and luckily most of the apps I use are advanced and so I was able to work but some apps did not and whatsApp calls are completely redundant. The host Miss Puneh demands guests "leave the apartment exactly as they found it" which is not a realistic demand. It would be nice of her had she provided sugar (there was none) so guests can enjoy the Nespresso coffee even more.
• Maja (8/5): It was great with a few minor flaws - The property is on great location, has very nice interior and is really cute. It's close to the main station and the host got us Basel cards. The apartment is in quite building and the supermarket is right across the street. It is also very well equipped (especially the kitchen). The host demanded from us to wash the dishes on hands but there was no hot water in the kitchen. The apartment doesn't have a TV, and a wi-fi is slow sometimes, and host doesn't replay on messages that often. It would also be great if there was one more towel per person (we got 1 pp).

• Христо (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, very nice place. Many shops and restaurants nearby. COOP just on the other side of the street. Only 10 min with the tram to the main shopping street and to the centre of Basel

Very bad internet connection- talked with the owner and she explained to me that there is an issue with the internet connection in the area. ( couldnt even make a whatsapp call). I arrived at new years and probably because of that the bed sheets where not ironed-- although the flat was clean. Washing machine out of order.

• Estela (9/5): We would come back, for sure! - Location was perfect. We had a supermarket in front of the apartment, 2min walking we had an asiatic take out place where we ate dinner for a good price and super delicious. The train station was 5 min walking and the centre of Basel was about 15min walking. The appartment looked very nice and big. It was very clean. What we didn’t like was the bed. The pillows were super thin and the blanket was smaller that the bed, so we were cold in the night and we had to use the cushions from the sofa. We also didn’t have WiFi and unfortunately the host could not give us a Basel card for discounts (wich is normal to get when you book via booking). If the host changes that, then our rate would have been 10/10!
