- Jasmin (9/5): We absolutely loved our stay. Such a romantic getaway, will definitely be coming back in the future. - The layout of the cottage was absolutely beautiful and the view of the trees was stunning There were a lot of ants in the kitchen area. Assuming because of the rain so not sure if that could be helped
- Tracey (10/5): Perfect spot for a relaxing, peaceful and romantic getaway. - Our cottage was lovely. We made good use of the huge bathtub. Everything we needed for a couple of nights stay was catered for. The position was great a short drive to town and literally beside the Mapleton National Park. At night we could hear the frogs croaking and the waterfall. It really is a little slice of heaven. Na

- Connor (10/5): Wonderful! Would 100% come back if in the area again - Super comfortable and homey. Easy to find and had everything you would need for a stay. Lovely area and surroundings Bit out of the way for food with some businesses not having updated their operating hours (not the venues fault)
- leisa (10/5): Perfect. Except for the fireplace - The location was amazing so quiet and relaxing.
The cabin was extremely clean.
My favourite was the bath….pure bliss
Loved our morning visits from the Wallabies A little disappointed by the Gas Fire place.
Certainly not like the picture shows.
Hardly any flames and a little noisy with the fan.
- Frans (10/5): Luxury close to nature! - Lovely view, ambiance and access to walking tracks and nature. N/A
- Katherine (10/5): -
- Jacques (8/5): - Breakfast was not provided.
- Genevieve (10/5): Luxury stay in nature - Staggy's cottage was luxury whilst relaxing in nature. Comfortable indoor space with warming fire to keep toasty warm in the cool weather. Seeing the wildlife whilst sitting on the deck. Bathtub was perfect during the sunset as you could relax, unwind, and feel complete comfort. Wonderful kitchen, and the bed was beautifully comfortable. The location was amazing as it was close to the national park and short drive to local attractions. It was perfect....nothing to dislike.
- Ross (4/5): Didn't like the design of the place and won't be going back. - Easy to find location using maps / GPS. The kitchen is pretty much devoid of normal facilities (it's listed as fully self contained) so if staying for a few days it is difficult to cook properly. The bathroom is totally open. So when someone comes to the front deck/door they are looking through the sliding glass doors directly at the open bathroom/shower - no privacy whatsoever. We have never seen anything like this in our 50 odd years of travelling. There is no cook top or oven, just a microwave, jug and toaster. There is no side burner on the bbq. It was very cold when we arrived just after dark. No lights on and no heating turned on before we arrived and did the self check in so it took a couple of hours to get the place warmed up. The heating is fine once it's been running for a while. Couldn't get the TV working for normal channels and no instruction sheet. We ended up finding Netflix and logged in using our own account but couldn't get the news. So overall, for us, pretty disappointing.
- Eryn (7/5): Good -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional getaway - The perfect spot to relax. Everything was exceptional, the outlook, bed, shower, facilities. We definitely will be back and recommend this accommodation to any couple looking to take time away from there busy lives.
- Kate (10/5): Relaxing, serenity, and beautiful. Would recommend to anyone and everyone! - We absolutely adored the property. It was very well presented and clean with no indoor spider webs or insects. Outside was nice and maintained. If I really had to pick what I disliked, I would say the light above the BBQ was flickering and then it went flat on our first night there so it was a little difficult to cook outside during the afternoon/night.
- Cate (8/5): The break we didn’t know we needed -
- Regents_16 (10/5): Time out to relax and rest - There are 3 cottages at Hideaway Falls (and it appears they are building and additional two) we stayed in Staggys. It is very high end and peaceful and extremely comfortable.
Backs on to Mapleton Falls. I would say that it wasn't as private as I would like thought still had privacy. There are trees that have been planted to add to the privacy but they are not fully grown.
It is immaculately cleaned and the bed was extremely comfortable. Fantastic that you can park right next to your cabin and there is a great little kitchen with small, very quiet, bar fridge that is ample in size for our two night stay and will not keep you up of a night!
Wonderful bath tub and skylight above.
The TV is ample and is a smart TV with all apps you need to stream via free wifi.
The patio faces west towards the national park. And you get the most delightful sunset in the afternoon. You can see a neighbouring house in the distance to the north and the driveway that heads down to the cottages is to the south.
Not sure if the cabin is visible from the national park.
I did notice that Evergreen appeared to have the most privacy though it is close to fence line of neighbouring farmland so very different outlook to Staggy's. It doesn't appear to get a lot of sun due to the vegetation.
Bunya appeared to face north looking up towards neighbouring house in the distance.
I would 100% recommend taking the time to spend a couple of very relaxing and peaceful nights at Hideaway Falls - especially Staggys cottage.
There were no other guests during our visit so I can not comment on what it would be like with other guests around. The owners home sits high on a hill above the cottages but there was no noise, just absolute peaceful.
- M (10/5): A calm & quiet retreat overlooking the national park. Hear the waterfalls & birds. - Excellent retreat for a weekend. Fall asleep to sound of the waterfalls! The bed was super comfortable!
- Jessine (10/5): A blissful weekend in a stunning Cabin. - Cabins are beautiful, very well designed, very comfortable and perfect for a romantic getaway
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Georgia (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (9/5): Superb - The place was so quiet, isolated and peaceful with nice country view. No lighting down to the Cottage at night.
- Vikki (8/5): Very good -

- Wayne (9/5): Superb - Very clean ,private
- Stephenie (10/5): A quiet and secluded property with modern comfort - It was clean and modern, a private place to unwind and relax. Nothing I can think of
- Terry (7/5): Good -
- Ben (9/5): Superb - Wifi didn’t work
- Patricia (10/5): Beautifully built cabins, luxury appointments, instant relaxation on arrival, attentive owners - The location was peaceful and private yet close to restaurants and tourist attractions. The walking tracks at our door. Just wonderful. Nothing. Everything has been anticipated for the perfect stay
- Ktuck (9/5): Superb - This is an amazing venue. Super clean. Great location!
- Shaun (10/5): Just one of the best places to visit... and we shall definately be back to stay again - What can I say......

- Dean (10/5): Exceptional - Peace and quiet location
- Dave (10/5): Beautiful peaceful getaway to reconnect - Beautiful peaceful location Nothing
- Kim (10/5): We had the most relaxing weekend in beautiful Bunya cottage. We only wish we could have had a few more days to explore t - Beautifully located just a short walk from the falls and a short drive to Mapleton and Montville. The cottage was spotlessly clean and felt wonderfully upmarket. The fireplace and bath made it extra special.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and the cabins are beautifully designed.
- Priscilla (10/5): The Perfect, Restful Couples Stay - Exquisitely designed, as clean as if it were brand new & had everything we needed. Fabulous stay!
- Tainar (9/5): Superb - Amazing romantic cottage! Stove would be nice
- Katrina (10/5): We loved our romantic weekend away in absolute paradise. - We absolutely loved our home away from home. Tim and Natalie have set up a beautiful property with a few cabins that are perfect. They have literally thought of everything. Perfect romantic weekend away. We definitely will be staying again. Katrina and Lee We loved everything about the property. Only suggestion would be for a full length mirror inside the robe door.
- Silvia (10/5): Peaceful relaxing weekend away - Great location, we could walk from cabin to Mapleton NP (the property borders the np) very peaceful quiet place & relaxing. The cabins were fairly new and lovely interior. The open bathroom was great. All the decor and amenities were of a good quality. Overall everything was fine, a few minor details like tea & coffee might not have been replenished- only 1 English breakfast tea & a few green jasmine teas, but luckily we brought our own. Also couldn’t find internet connection information & had to contact owner but these were very minor things.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amie (10/5): Pure bliss - Perfect!!! Gorgeous cozy cabin in a beautiful location so tranquil and relaxing
- Swartz (9/5): Very relaxing and enjoyable. Will definitely recommend. - New Mod clean enjoyed the fireplace. More detail needed on hi tech tv prior arrival.
- Meagan (10/5): We had an amazing stay. Very relaxing. -
- Tenielle (8/5): Beautiful for a few days away - The location, room, and stay were beautiful. I was looking forward to having a few days off work, and the rain made it even more magical where I didn't need to leave the accommodation as it was too wet. I attempted to contact the host 6 times within a 40-minute period upon arrival using the number provided for check-in, but received no response. Additionally, I did not receive the check-in details via SMS or email, which made the situation very difficult and frustrating.
- John (9/5): Superb - Location very peaceful within a lovely setting hearing waterfall in background.
- Brendan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic!! One of my favourite getaways ever. Don’t be deterred by the low number of reviews - this place is brand spanking new. I’m biased because it’s where we stayed, but I think Evergreen is the best cabin - it faces directly into the nature reserve at the back of the property.
The cabin is so spacious, the bathtub is massive, the fireplace is so convenient and easy to use, and the property is as close as possible to Mapleton National Park. Also Montville is only 10 minutes away! Nothing 😊
- Gregory (8/5): Very good -
- Kailee (8/5): A beautiful cottage - Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location! Felt like a home away from home! Unfortunately had an unpleasant smell a few times throughout our stay (a little sweet and sour smell), might have been coming from the drains in the bathroom as the water couldn’t really dry properly.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Sally (10/5): Beautifully designed, intimate cabins in a great location. - Absolutely beautiful spot! just across the road from Mapleton National Park. Could hear the waterfall from our cabin. Cabin is thoughtfully designed to be a perfect romantic get away.
- Tony (10/5): This place is set in a tranquil location in the rainforest. We would recommend to anyone. Well done for upkeeping this - Clean, very comfortable and not overlooked by anyone. Birds singing all the time. No road noise. Recommend a long pole squeeze for the shower area - but just a minor point.
Maybe a small portable induction hob to help cook using a pan - again a minor point.
- Katie (9/5): Tim and Natalia have done a beautiful job creating Hideaway Falls 🖤 - We celebrated New Year's at Staggys and it was perfect!
The location is gorgeous, close to Maleny and has plenty of hikes nearby. Though there are a few cottages nearby, you don't notice the other guests at all.
It did rain for much of our stay, so we traded exploring for a movie day in bed. But, when you're cosy and surrounded by nature there's nothing to complain about.
All the small details have been considered — From all the kitchenware you need to a hair dryer, cotton buds and make-up remover pads. Staggys was missing a Wine Bottle Opener (likely nicked by another guest) but we got creative! Would recommend this article and suggestion number two: vinepair.com/articles/7-ways-to-open-a-bottle-of-wine-without-a-corkscrew/ 😂
- Alyse (10/5): AMAZING! - Amazing, such well designed cottages for a get away. We cannot wait until we stay again!
The beds were so comfortable and the linen had such a nice clean smell, obsessed!
- Jim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): The cottages were so beautiful and comfortable! So private and relaxing. We really enjoyed our weekend away - will be ba - Loved the bathroom and private front deck with a nature view.
- Walter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Corey (10/5): Exceptional - On the edge of the national park, scenery was amazing and was a nice quiet place to relax.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - This was a beautiful cabin and location was perfect for what we were wanting. Would highly recommend for anyone who wanted the peace and quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of city living. We loved it and will certainly stay again when we come back to the area.
- Paul (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay - Quiet and new, walking distance to the falls
- Shane (9/5): Loved, loved loved it. Thank you - The place was stunning, super clean and quiet. Loved the birds, rabbits and Wallabies. Only thing we would suggest is maybe an electric hotplate beside the BBQ.
