Guest Reviews
- Mathieu (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michael (1/5): Would not recommend this place to anyone. Not for tourists. On the front door there is a sign of hourly rents, that says - Nice owners. Dirty, dead cockroaches lying around. The place is old and worn down. Noisey. Bad smell. No door to the bathroom.
Unfortunately we had already paid but still we ended up leaving.
- Kelly (4/5): Cheap but you know……cheap. - A senior lady was running the place, she was nice and moved me to a better room at no charge when the original bed was 2 inches of foam on wood slats. This a very old flop house. There is built in grime despite it being relatively clean otherwise. It was relatively cheap, but this is the bottom of the barrel. It hasn’t been updated in years and they are just eeking out what money they can. Good location but right on the street and very noisy at night.
- Isaacs (1/5): Terrible choice -
- Verónica (1/5): Bad - The staff was really friendly The room was really humid and closed. No ventilation, windows or fan. It was really hard to breath in and I had to leave after 2 hours.
- Joseph (9/5): Superb -
- Märta (3/5): You get what you pay for - The ladies where really nice and it was cheap. The area in San Jose felt really unsafe. I kept getting warned by strangers that I couldn’t even walk for a few minutes, I had to get a taxi because it was dangerous. The room is small and sterile. There is a bus stop outside and the sound travels into the room.
- Randall (4/5): noisy, shabby, good staff. - staff. NO breakfast offered quieter, better neighborhood, bed comfort, amenities.
- Nick (5/5): Cheap central option for one night - Very central. The internal walls are very thin and we didn't sleep very well due to other guests going about their business during the night.
- Pritchard (10/5): Lovely hosts in a cozy and old-fashioned little hotel. - The owners are extremely kind and very helpful. It’s also REALLY close to the downtown San José area, with many cheaper restaurants on this block. For the value it was great! Not incredibly new or shiny, but it’s a good place to stay for a couple of days at the beginning or end of your trip.
- Paul (5/5): Passable -
- William (2/5): cockroaches, bad smell, lack of sound insulation, drunk neighbors, wrong room params - we booked two rooms (for family) in fact in the hotel there was only one, really small. It was too late to change hotel this day. we had to stay for one night. It was the worst experience: cockroaches, bad smell, lack of sound insulation, and drunk neighbors.
