Guest Reviews
- T (1/5): Significant Issues During Our Stay - Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay, and I feel it’s important to share my experience so future guests know what to expect.
Even before arrival, check-in was unnecessarily difficult. Communication was handled through automated messages from a third party rather than the owner, which caused confusion. I was told the key would be under the doormat, but it was actually in a lockbox. I had to call to clarify this after arriving in the cold. During this call, the woman handling the rental was extremely short and unprofessional, as though my call was bothering her. This interaction was unpleasant and added to the already frustrating check-in experience.
Upon entering the apartment, there was a very strong and persistent smell of sewage. At first, we assumed it might be temporary or related to cleaning, but the odor remained throughout the entire stay. The smell was coming from both the kitchen and the bathroom, suggesting a serious plumbing or ventilation issue.
I had confirmed in advance that there would be two sleeping spaces. However, the layout makes this practically impossible. There is a Murphy bed that folds down from the wall, but a heavy sofa blocks it. The sofa (as well as the Murphy bed) requires two people to move, and once the bed is pulled down, there is no space left, making the room extremely cramped. Everything (kitchen, living area, and sleeping area) is in one very small space, with only the bathroom separated.
When we pulled down the Murphy bed, the sheets were clearly dirty. They had not been washed and were left clumped on the bed, with visible hair and stains. The small closet had no space for guests’ belongings, as it was filled with their own sheets, also unwashed. We were told linens would be provided, but there was only one single-sized sheet, which was not large enough for the bed. All linens smelled strongly of bathroom deodorizer ("Lila"), which is not a substitute for proper washing.
