Guest Reviews
- Edina (10/5): Einfach großartig! -
- Amanda (8/5): Peaceful oasis yet close to everything - Great location - quiet and peaceful Curtains didn’t fully close !
- Maria-luisa (1/5): No. Just no. - Everything. I only rated it 1 because 0 wasn’t available. We couldn’t stay there because it was so dirty. There was a collection of long hair on the floor and a pube on the bed ledge. The kitchen floor was sticky and there was a scrunched up tea towel on the footstand of the stool in the kitchen. Obviously, the cleaner had not been even though it was well past check in time. I was refunded for 2 nights but not the third. Cancellation and cleaning fees were waived but not the cost for the stay. I am considerably out of pocket as I had to quickly find alternative accommodation.
- Lolly (5/5): What could be a beautifully cute apartment felt like an unloved housekeeper's storeroom - An interesting building, which is why I chose over other properties in the area, but once in the studio, it was let down a little by the feeling that is was unloved and being used as a housekeeping storeroom Keys were collected from a shop across the road, and were a big bunch of keys which seemed to belong to someone else and not just the property. The kitchen was shabby, with cupboard fronts off, a mix of tired looking utensils and grubby pans. The bedding was so incredibly thin, it could hardly be called a duvet, and made from cheap materials. The wardrobe was filled with bedlinen drying on hangers, with lots of odd housekeeping and decorating items. If they needed a store cupboard, it would be better if this was all neat and tidy at one end, and not spread across whole cupboard, it felt like I was staying in a housekeeper's storeroom. The water was extremely hot, with no mixer tap on basin. The shower was terrible ~ either a freezing dribble or a scalding dribble. My stay in London was to ensure I was well rested and fresh for work in the morning ~ I was neither. I also tried to drop keys off at 9am, and the shop was shut ~ I put through hole in shutters, not know if this was safe.
- Sinead (9/5): Superb - Beautiful art deco building in a great part of London. Everything you need for a short stay, would recommend. Nothing
- R (9/5): Light bright and good location - Light and airy, clean bedsit. Good communication with owner via messenger. Mattress protector on the bed, which is always important to me. Just a sheet on the mattress is a big no no. So thankfully there was one at this venue. Simple kitchen with small hob and oven and the smallest sink in a kitchen ever :) washing machine and microwave. Clothes rack in cupboard so wash at night and hang for dry and clean clothes the next morning. Its on a main road so not quiet, but not a problem for me. Good quality bedding and nice big towels. Close to lots of bus routes and a short walk from shops and 2 overground stations.
Would I stay again. Big yes. Especially if shower and TV sorted. TV just a monitor so have to createvand remove logging to apps through Feeeview. So ended up watching TV on my Ipad which wasn't ideal. Am sure a simple plug in 15 quid ariel would sort that.
Impressive shower head was looking forward to a bracing shower...but comes out at a dribble, so used the hand held which was good pressure spayed with anti lime scale but think the inside needs descaling or a simple fix would be to replace the head.
Not a problem to me, but one thing others might note is to get into the building there's around 50 external stone steps. And the flat is on the first floor with no lift so if have mobility issues or luggage please be aware.
- Niken (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (9/5): perfect studio base - Right in the middle of bustling Hackney, near public transport, shops, cafes. A lovely studio. Had a great stay.
- An (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aoife (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was so stylish. The view is so gorgeous and makes a great spot for a drink after a day out and about in London. The place was kitted out with everything we could possibly need and the surrounding area is really cool, with loads of interesting eats and shops. It was easy to get anywhere we had planned on going - well connected with buses/trains. The apartment was beautifully clean.
- Anna (10/5): Fabulous - Such a great place, very unique- loved it! Clean, spacey and comfortable. Great communication with the hosts. Thank you 😊xx Nothing!
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Meike (8/5): Very good - Decent apartment size for 2 people, very nice ArtDeco window. Equipped with iron, hair driver and well equipped kitchen (although we did not use anything in the kitchen). Good wifi. The host was very friendly and responded quickly to questions in advance. Keys were picked up in shop nearby which worked seamlessly. You can tell that the apartment is a bit older, e.g. the windows were wet from the inside in the morning, the shower head spent very little water, etc. There was a lot of dust between the bed and wall which was visible without moving the bed. The bed is 140cm which can be a bit tight for 2 people.
- Josephine (10/5): Perfect accommodation - Extremely stylish apartment in a wonderful art deco block. Everything.
- Bartlett (9/5): Superb - Location. Close to transport services.
Well equipped Too many stairs, especially with cases.
