Guest Reviews
- Chahid (10/5): -
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional - I liked the location of the hotel, the atmosphere of the room was tremendous and we had no problems with cleanliness. Everything was very nice. Thank you Alp for making us feel nice, safe and at home.
- Yasmin (3/5): Not worth the money - The property is in a nice area and the memeber of staff when we came in was friendly The rooms are very small, its VERY loud on an evening, there's no staff at the hotel in the evenings so one night it was incredibly loud inside the hotel and no one was there to stop it, we had random people trying to get into our room in the night which isn't very safe or nice. The stairs are incredibly steep.
- Juliana (6/5): Pleasant - Location At every level there was random stuff and the corridors were used as storage.
There is no elevator and very steep stairs, so it was hard to carry luggage .
- Benedict (10/5): Lovely service, perfect location, would stay again. - Alp being super welcoming and helpful, offering loads of recommendations. Helped me book a haircut, sorted airport transfer taxi at a great price.
Super attentive and friendly. We liked that it’s small and personal too, we want the business to be successful!
Location was perfect, loud but we didn’t mind. Close to amazing bars and shops.
Decor was cool mix of historical atmospheric and random eccentric. Amazing ceilings and brickwork.
Beds super comfy. Quiet and efficient air con.
Water pressure very good.
Free coffee / water. Furniture in the hall - property might still be a work in progress which is fine given it’s small.
Fitted sheets on the bed would be goods as they slipped off, but mattresses and pillows were super comfy.
- Jose (10/5): Perfect location in a beautiful city - Location was perfect I liked it all
- Yamlal (10/5): Great location, excellent staff and easy communication - location

The ambiance of the rooms is very stylish. The owner is very helpful. -
- Ksenija (10/5): I love this hotel! My second visit to Istanbul, I wanted to stay here again. There have been some nice changes. I love t -
- Anastasia (9/5): Recommend! - Alp was super helpful and responsive. He managed to give us early check in!
- Katrin (8/5): Very good - Nice and beautiful room at a good location, only 10 min by foot from Taksim square and Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque are still walkable distance or only a few stops by metro. The noice on Saturday night from a nearby club (?) was extremely loud, sleeping even with earplugs was impossible. The other nights the room was still fairly noisy from the nearby street but that was bearable, Saturday night it was not. Otherwise the room is quite beautiful but a bit small for three people.
- Joe (10/5): Amazing Rocky Walls - The wooden stairs. The Rocky walls! The place is magical, the area is full of Restaurants and Pubs
New Place all the best of luck
- Aleksei (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, exceptionally nice host, the room was clean and comfortable.
- Thomas (9/5): Super well located and great value for money - Neat and tidy little hotel right in the middle of Istanbul. Step out the door and there's so many options to walk around and enjoy the streets of the city. It's family-owned and you can tell they really care about their guests. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

- Jordan (10/5): Suited my needs perfectly - Historical building
- Thomas (8/5): We loved our short stay here, great location and value for money. The facilities were all we needed and more! Thanks for - The location was great being close to restaurants, bars, great cafes and little shops. The hotel host was very kind with quick response times over messenger which is always helpful for a late night check in. Room was comfortable and clean, great for a short stay. Tea station and seating downstairs was also nice touch for a wind down after a big day walking around. Loved the water bottle supply. The host was also helpful in telling us where the extra toilet paper was when we needed a top up. It was a bit noisy at night, but to be expected in Istanbul. We were here in winter and the room was cold so an extra blanket would have been better. More selection of teas would also be a nice improvement.

- Diane (10/5): Fabulous location, small and stylish hotel, great owner! - Starting with the service provided by the lovely and helpful owner and operator -- excellent! We were delayed, had trouble accessing our room (our own fault) and Alp talked us through the process. He recommended excellent places, including a cocktail bar next door, introducing us to the owner. He responded quickly to requests for an extra blanket and offered to move us. Such a lovely and dedicated person! The hotel location couldn't be better: convenient to both sides of the Bosphorus and surrounded by cool, one-off shops and restaurants. The rooms are small but aesthetically pleasing with exposed brick walls and high ceilings. Overall, the value of the price was amazing! Nothing really -- I will say that this is more like staying at an AirBnB with fewer services than an actual hotel. But the owner is so helpful that we weren't inconvenienced at all.
- Ilia (10/5): Historical building in the heart of the city - Location is perfect. Rooms look amazing! Host is very welcoming and gave a bunch of recommendations If you have mobility problems getting to the rooms on steep stairs would be a challenge
- Niroshan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Albrecht (10/5): Exceptional - All good. Very friendly. Will come again!
- Rasmus (7/5): Simple and clean, noisy streets, well placed. - Simple, clean, charming, well placed.
This is more of a rental than hotel with limited staff support. Rooms on the corner far too noisy from Thursday to Saturday. Only stay there if you're Young, partying or sleep heavy.
Rooms on the other side down Nuri Ziya Sok worked better for us.
- Yasar (9/5): Superb -
- Zaid (10/5): Exceptional - This hotel was an excellent choice! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.
- Luigi (8/5): Good hotel in a great location. The lack of elevator is a big issue especially if you are at the third floor and above - Location No elevator and steeply stairs
- Lp (8/5): Some problems at the start, owner dealt with issues very well. - Fabulous location, love the area with its hip local small cafes, restaurants, and artisan shops. The room was basic but nice, comfortable bed, small bathroom but fine, great shower. Water and coffee available in reception. Very helpful owner, Alp, very nice. Be prepared to party all night on a Saturday night, as nightclubs there are very loud all night long! You might need earplugs. Alp moved me to a quiter room the next day, and the other 3 nights were great. He really did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable. Great value for the price. I would stay here again. Best of luck! Nobody there when I arrived to help carry suitcases up several flights of steep stairs, so I had to call the owner. He sent someone immediately so that was fine. Some issues with the room, and I had to text and send photos on arrival after a long journey, but again Alp moved me to a clean, quieter room the next day. A stressful start, and couldn't sleep at all that first night, but all got sorted the next day. The rooms need some more places to put things, but Alp knows that, and is still making improvements. All good in the end.
- Emerald (8/5): Amazing location with a great manager who helped us with everything! - Amazing location, beautiful space. There was unfortunately no breakfast room yet so we couldn’t have breakfast at the hotel. It would be great to have tea and coffee options in the room but that was made up for by having coffee in the main space.
- Mohammed (8/5): I liked my stay in Istanbul at this hotel as it was clean, as described on booking, and easy to find. The person in char - The room was very clean and as described. The location is a bit hard to reach as it’s on a climb with the nearest metro/tram a bit far
- Wayne (9/5): Very enjoyable first experience of the wonderful city of Istanbul! - Fabulous central location and still felt like a very safe district, close to Italian embassy.
The landlord was a very polite/courteous person and keen to address any minor issues we had in a prompt manner. Could’ve possibly offered continental breakfast, but having said that, there were plenty of other options nearby.
- William (10/5): Well - Amazing renovation of an old building. Nil
- Rick (10/5): Exceptional - Location is perfect, place is cool. Improve the some things but owner know how to o that.
Good luck guys! No elevator but the building is historic it's normal
- Maxim (10/5): Exceptional - Design small boutique hotel It is managed by professionals and run a family business. If you want to feel the quality night intensity of Istanbul, this street is for you :)
- Alessialberta (10/5): Exceptional - This is our 2nd time in Istanbul and our first time at Reu de Hotel. From what we hear, it has been renovated. All I can say is; I'll come again. :)
